Seems that there shelves are always bare. I was looking for Libby's sausage and gravy since December but with no luck. I have asked several employers and they can't tell me why there is none. The same with some other products that I buy. I finally looked on Amazon and found that I could buy a case much cheaper than Publix, so I ordered the items from Amazon. why is the Publix getting so bad. Publix always amazes me with clean, modernized, fresh produce that sparkles and when comparing prices may be a bit higher than other chain grocery stores but they compensate by offering BOGO and sales on many items that are necessities! Stopped here to get a Publix sub. A little different menu than I am used to because of the different state but the selection was interesting. The sub ended up being huge because of all the available toppings. Got the honey maple turkey and Swiss and it was delicious. The lady making the subs was very nice. The store was super clean with lots of selections. They were out of the unsweetened tea I usually get but at least they had an alternative option. read more

I worked here for 3 and a half years. Suddenly, we get a new manager. So I got a drink, took a sip of it for my pain meds, and bought the drink. Then I got fired, after all my hard work, effort, and compassion. Management has now become just as cold and unwelcoming as management from a Wal-Mart store. If this is the kind of thing management has become at a Publix of all places, then perhaps you should consider if you want to support the store who throws away hard workers just because they took a drink to help ease pain just moments before buying it. read more

I am in Publix a lot. I travel frequently for work and this is my go to supermarket to pick up davarius things to get through the night in each hotel. I was not in this particular location very long, just ran in to get some iced tea, but I seen the usual great values and professionalism amongst the staff. I recommend a visit to this Publix or any Publix. read more

This is a really nice grocery store I stopped in for a couple of things while on a work trip. The store is pretty big and very clean and well lit. The staff there was friendly and courteous and there were enough staff manning the check out lines. I have to add, I was really impressed with the selection of greeting cards, which was great as I was able to get fathers day cards and a birthday card that I needed to get while I was in town. read more

We do nearly all our grocery shopping here. Good service and nice selection of products. Our dinner plans usually are based on the buy one get one free specials. Unlike other stores you can buy one at half price. You don't have to buy two. On bakery products they will break a package down for you. Only two of us so we don't need 8 hamburger buns. If you don't find what you are looking for at the meat counter they will make it for you. read more

Pharmacists at Publix has gotten an attitude in the past because I get some filled through the mail as my insurance wants. They use to be great but now it's just about the money. I don't recommend them to anyone. read more

I'm not sure what happened with this Publix location. Not long ago, it was easily the best grocery shopping experience in the Prattville-Millbrook area. In the last few months, they've changed the layout of the store quite a bit, adding a lot of cheap, bargain bin style merchandise like football shirts and the like which have cluttered up the aisles. They've shuffled the layout to make you walk across the entire store to find items that once were logically located close together...no doubt to expose you to more of the increased displays cluttering up the store. Stockers now commonly are clogging up the floor with large jobs during peak hours of business, and the front line - once reliably courteous and helpful - are increasingly becoming populated with rude teenagers who barely acknowledge the customers they're checking. Publix tends to have higher prices on average than many local competitors, but the shopping experience always more than made up for that difference. I'm not sure that's as much the case any more. read more

Terrible customer service. Check out associates are not knowledgeable about Publix guidelines, therefore they do not give customers proper information when a question is asked. Customer concerns are not handled properly within the store. read more

My last 3 visits to publix pharmacy were less than a desirable experience. These visits have happened in 2 months time. Last month, I called in a refill for a prescription well before noon. Around 4:30, trying to avoid 5 o'clock traffic, I went to pick up my medication. I am told it will be about 30 minutes. It is about 12 minutes to my house from there, not worth driving home. So I walk around the store and do some bored shopping. (they win) Second time, my doctor called in some medication at 3:30. I waited until 5:45, again trying to avoid 5 o"clock traffic. I am told it will be 30 minutes. Once again, I walk around to waste MY TIME and do some bored shopping. (they win) And the LAST time, last night my doctor called in some medication at 5:15. I waited until 6:45 to go pick it up. I am told it will be 20 minutes. REFUSING to give them any more money, I walk around watching my clock. When I picked it up, I told the pharmacy employee that this is my LAST prescription filled by them. My time is more valuable to me than their treatment of loyal customers. Her response, "i'm sorry" and nothing more. Good bye Publix, I will give my money to those who appreciate and work for it. read more
