My husband and I placed a large order last night, over $155 that was to be delivered this morning. The shopper, TINA from Instacart, contacts me 2X about items not available, I agreed for them to be removed, then it said "shopping finished", so I turned my phone off. We waited & waited & waited. Finally, I went to Aldis' site and what do I see? ORDER CANCELLED. We were stunned. There were instructions to get here, the address is on the front of the house. But this idiot says she cannot find the house. Had an order delivered from Aldi last week. Guy found me just fine, left it here without ever contacting me. I contacted Instacart & Aldi. Got NOTHING from either except "sorrrrreeee". I love Aldi but I will never go to the Queensbury, NY store again. A bunch of lazy idiots. read more

I felt like my family was being bullied by the management because we brought my wife's service dog into the store. I've never gone into a store with my family and the service dog and been told that the dog could not be in the cart because it was a health code violation. the dog was sitting on a reusable shopping bag with a sweatshirt over it and was not directly on the surface of the cart. we had a manager and the store manager harassing us and I felt their behavior was uncalled for because the dog wasn't directly touching the cart and was behaving. apparently its more acceptable to have a child with a dirty diaper touching their carts than a service dog that is cared for. ( remember we had something down in the cart so that the dog wasn't not even touching the cart and they still harassed us over the issue). we have a small chihuahua mix as a service dog. they didn't like it that I stood up for our rights and I didn't back down. I asked for the number to call the corporate office to talk to the district manager. I guess they're just jealous because they can't bring their dog to the workplace with them. read more

I went here for the first time and I was surprised by how inexpensive items were. I bought two bars of chocolate from Austria and Germany and I bought two packs of toothbrushes that were produced in Germany. I also bought two reusable bags. There is an ALDI in Manhattan but I don't go there because it is too far from home and doesn't have a great selection. read more

First time at this location earlier this week. This is a well stocked, clean and organized Aldi's. I've been to a few others that did not meet the standard of this one. I specifically stopped in for some organic blueberries and cranberry juice. The juice was not exactly what I was looking for, but (in addition to the blueberries), I also grabbed some kombucha and a crunchy, veggie snack. There are several well known brands that are carried at Aldi's, but be prepared to find stuff that isn't available at your regular supermarket. Good prices, good selection....good Aldi's. read more

This is probably the most depressing grocery store that I've ever been to. I'll break it down below. The Good: Decent prices on some stuff, but you'll find very few name brands. The Bad: If you're not familiar with the store, you don't know that you need a quarter deposit to use a shopping cart. Also, they don't have grocery bags, so be prepared to bring your own or have none. The Ugly: The store, for some reason, is divided into loooong aisles that have no break in between them. It feels like a rat maze and we're the unwilling participants. Also, there are no windows or natural light except in the very front of the store, and the choice of florescent lighting throughout is very poor. Came here during Covid-19 and I must say the employees did a phenomenal job at maintaining safe guidelines. Carts were wiped down, small line outside with people 6ft apart, and they had arrows on the floor. Customers shopping were respectful, and everyone had masks. A very well organized and friendly store. No bells and whistles, but that is why there are so many bargain deals. Only problem, if you find something you really like, they may not carry it all the time. The store is very clean and seems to be well managed. This is probably the strangest grocery store I've ever been in. I had no idea what to expect, and I still don't know what to make of it. The store seems to primarily deal in 'copies' of brand name items, with packaging made to look like an actual brand name. Strange, very strange. Walking through, I got the feeling that the store is owned by either a cult or aliens, or maybe a partnership of both groups. The 'Clancy' potato chips, made to look like a bag of Lays, more or less, were unexpectedly good. The frozen White Castle burgers were actual White Castle's, along with the famous after effects. You can save a lot of money by shopping here. I like to go here first, and get what looks good and check out the specials. I do have to go to a second store to get a few items that the store doesn't carry. There are some amazing deals at Aldi. Yes, you do have to bring your own bags or buy them at the checkout counter. And you have to bring a quarter to deposit for the shopping cart. I like these policies because it keeps me from using unnecessary plastic bags and it keeps prices down. Their hours are fewer than Price Chopper or Hannaford but that is also fine with me. Overall, it is a great way to save money and still eat healthy. This is the best store I've ever been to. Let me break it down. The prices are excellent, and the ORGANIC options are cheaper than generic store brands at Hannaford or Price Chopper. Go ahead and let that sink in for a sec. The food is also backed with a money-back guarantee AND a replacement. I have shopped there for years and never once brought something back. The baking ingredients are superior to name brands (no I am not a paid shill.. it's actually true). The only item I don't like there is the eggs, but I am picky and always buy the 5-6$ option at a store. You'll need a quarter to get a shopping cart, but if you don't have one...you walk ten feet into the store and the cashiers have a bucket of quarters and they'll give you one. This ensures that you don't drive up to a parking lot full of shopping carts to navigate around. Yes it's interesting to note that humans WILL return the cart consistently for just a quarter. They also sell reusable, durable shopping bags in case you forget to bring some. Once you buy them, they last indefinitely in spite of being plastic. They are between 10 cents and 25 cents a piece. They also offer brown paper bags. The store is no nonsense: it's clean and not overly bright (it's actually one thing I dislike about most stores) and the staff makes a living wage and seems friendly. The only downer for me is the eggs and the fact they don't have every single thing I need. For a family of four (that eats organic including meat and lots of vegs) I pay about 200 biweekly, and then have to spend maybe 30$ at Hannaford on the way home to grab what Aldi didn't have. this store does not advertise to be anything it is not. It sells items comparable to national brands. You can on occasion find some name brands but as a rule they have their own - which in many years I have found to be, overall, comparable. Most National stores also have their own brands - and Aldi brand is certainly as good or better than those. I get most of my fresh produce there and have never been disappointed. Condiments, cheese, meats, frozen and canned goods also. I am not fond of the coffee but there are a few choice coffee's I like! I know of many who purchase there coffee and do like it. I feel for the size of the store they have a large selection. The isles are long because the store is full of product and not wide open spaces.The store is also very clean and the staff is helpful! As for the 'renting' carts to save money GREAT idea. AND they sell bags if you don't use recycle bags you can start now and also save money if you decide to go back to price chopper! they will deduct .03 if you bring the bags. read more

I like Aldi and love some of the brands they carry. They have chocolate bars and sauerkraut from Germany (both much better than what you can get here). They also have organic products that aren't marked us just because they are organic. If you want name brands go to Price Chopper or Hannaford and pay the higher prices but, if you give Aldi's brands a try, I believe you will come back. Usually their vegetables are less expensive than other stores. Their brands of cereal also are very good and MUCH less expensive. Bring a bag and a quarter to pay for renting the cart (you get it back when you return the cart) because this is how they can charge lower prices. read more
