Our farmers market in Pleasanton, CA near where I live is In a Richey Rich area and the price is not even as steep. Just saying as I blend quality and price but overall the foods, veggies and meats look great. One star off for steep pricing. Service is nice and friendly but again the price for my stuffed cabbage is $2 more than my Russian / Ukrainian/ Eastern European Market price in CA. So that still bugged me. Typical farmers market ambiance. Wished it were on a large parking area versus a park. Parking is not convenient but that is ok. I would go again but not go out of my way to go. Regardless, if you are in Saratoga, NY it is worth going to and definitely try the stuff cabbage.

By the afternoon they no longer had any whole or half portions of ribeye. It's nice when you can have it custom cut to your liking. When I'm out and about, it's not always easy to get there so early so it's a bummer when you are intent on something specific. I really like their fruit tarts too. They come individual sized, as well as a standard pie size. It's the perfect bite after a meal or whenever as it's not too sweet and it's quite good. Lastly, the shop is always nicely organized and the staff is helpful. All this makes for a regularly pleasant shopping experience.

Made the best Chimichurri tacos on the grill tonight courtesy of Fresh Markets meat counter and their amazing marinade!! It was my husbands birthday, so I also grabbed a cake and some desserts for the fam -- the cakes are about what you would pay at Price Chopper, but in my opinion, they appear to be made with more attention to detail. If you're having a hard time finding birthday candles with numbers, they have a huge selection next to the cake counter and some Birthday cake pieces as well. The way to shop at this store is by learning the regular sale days. Tuesdays deals are: $5.00 12 inch pizza $3.99/lb Chicken Breast $5.99/lb ground beef $5.00 rotisserie chicken Fridays deals are: 2 for $5 burgers Each week they choose a different fresh deal, so you'll likely find a deal for $5.00/lb meat. This evening it was carne asada chicken breast cutlets. Other elements that I really enjoy is that their olive bar has Dolmas!! It's the only one that I know of that carries them in the area. Never realized how difficult it is to find specialty food until I moved back to Saratoga from Texas. Imagine my surprise when I found Healthy Living Market in Saratoga!! It's an awesome market and they have everything I need and more. The cafe has yummy sandwiches, cheeses and desserts. Their gluten free offerings are off the charts amazing and whenever I'm in the area I always stop in to stock up on Nut Pods, Simple Mills and any other goodies I see. They sell seasonal vegetables, farm fresh eggs, cider, cider donuts, mums and asters, pumpkins and gourds, honey, and even let you pick your own pumpkin. Inside this charming shop there was a little of everything from vintage candies, gift baskets, sugary options, fudge and all things chocolate. We snapped up a little of everything but bought heavy in chocolate. So far everything was delicious and very high quality. I definitely recommend you spot when you are in the area.
