All the major departments - produce, meat, seafood, dairy, were stocked almost to overflowing, with good regular and sale prices displayed prominently. The store is brightly lit and the aisles are wide. There are 2 self-checkouts. The employees here are really friendly and chatty. If it ever expands (and if it does well, it should be considered), add some more hot food stations and a salad bar.

This new Hannaford seems to satisfy the company's need to have a store within easy reach of…read moreapproximately every 3rd exit off I-87 (they have other stores near exits 2E, 6, 9, 15, and 18, so this fills a void). It makes good business sense, as there is a lot of traffic on NY 67 west and NY 50 north, particularly during the evening rush hour. Also, the only other grocery store reasonably convenient was the Price Chopper in the village of Malta, whose motto appears to be "More Roundabouts? Sure!" The store is actually quite aesthetically pleasing. It's well laid out, particularly the produce department. It's brightly lit, and the aisles are easily wide enough for shopping carts going in opposite directions to not interfere with each other. There's a large dining area in the front, with a utensils stand including a microwave. If you're a regular shopper at Hannaford, the organization of the store will feel familiar, except for the beer aisle being closer to the produce/pharmacy departments. It was well stocked and clean, though that's understandable, as it's only been open 6 days as of this review. A few nits: Disappointed that they don't have a hot air hand dryer in the men's room... the salad bar containers don't have the 4-digit number on them for ease of entry at the self-checkout stands (though the newer self-checkout software does have a nice search facility)... only 3 self-checkouts, and I predict there will be a back-up of customers wanting to use these, especially if any break down (which seems to happen more than it should). Of these, only the last one is likely to bother anyone. I'm certainly glad to see a Hannaford here, as opposed to what might have otherwise gone in.

Whole Foods takes pride in keeping their store clean every corner very spot. Your folks don't want work, won't do what's necessary to make you guys better than Wholefoods. This Hannaford takes some getting used to. It's not organized the same way as most of the other…read moreHannaford's in the area, and it's pretty cramped in many spots. On the right sight as you walk in, the departments are in a different order than you'd typically expect - first bakery, then deli, and produce in the back. The produce space is limited, and they were missing some items I can easily find in their other stores. The checkout area is another busy and cramped spot, and if you use the self-checkout area, there's not a lot of distance between the stations and room for your carts. Apart from that, it's going to be a basic Hannaford product and price-wise. I don't know if they have the space to do it, but this store could definitely benefit from an upgrade.
