Managers just walk the traditional Meijer corporate line here. They want to keep their jobs and will admit no wrong doing whatsoever. So much for small town hospitality, right? Most times this place is crowded with the GVSU crowd. The idiot and the entitled masses seem to think that they own this place. They won't look up from their phones and be bothered to move out of the aisles. Again, the local store management allows all of this nonsense because they want the revenue.

Earthly Refillery allows you to come in and be more intentional and sustainable when shopping. You can, and are encouraged, to bring your own reusable containers for shopping for everything from food and drink to cleaning supplies! They have a wide array of different pantry and fridge staples you may need, including the very necessary ice cream from local business Furniture City Creamery. the fridge had a really cool assortment of beautiful flavored milk and fun drinks. If I remember correctly, there were even sections to get kombucha. I really liked the areas with treats that you could buy such as caramel popcorn as I often just want a little! The staff is very kind and helpful but not overbearing which I really appreciate. The instructions are very clear for how to do everything so I think it's pretty accessible. I'd definitely stop by here the next time you're at studio park. Definitely could be worth taking the dash or riding your bike over to get some goods!

If you're trying to live a more sustainable lifestyle, this is a great spot to shop. They carry bath, body, and home products, as well as some produce, bulk pantry items (grains, flour, oils, vinegar, etc.), frozen fruit, spices and seasonings, and more. I found my favorite plastic-free deodorant at their other location, which they also carry here (Little Seed Farm). You can even bring in your empty glass container and get it refilled! They have a shelf of donated containers if you need something to dispense into, and they also take donations of clean containers. There's a sheet of paper on the wall asking what people would like to see in the store - I think that's such a great way to understand your customers better and I agreed with several of the items listed (like non-dairy milk). So excited to have this awesome store right downtown, and I hope they do well in this spot!

Don't let cotton candy fool you, they also serve so so much local Michigan treats and ice cream too. The guy that helped us was so thoughtful and even gave us two blue raspberry cotton candy's on the house for stopping in, how thoughtful!
