Once the Amazon item is returned, Koh's provides a $5 coupon good for a week. When combined with other coupons, such as a 30% off coupon, and then again combined with a sale (buy one package of socks, get the second package for 50% off), a shopper can receive a much better value than purchasing the same items from Amazon, etc. In this case, my items cost $3.50 each, whereas they were selling on Amazon for more than twice that amount. However, if I wasn't already in the store, I would not have bothered. The customer service line was at least 10 people deep, the checkout line was about 20 people with only two registers open, the merchandise displays were a disorganized mess and their wifi went down for a short time (so they couldn't take returns or process purchases). I would not have found these without a staff recommendation, and I am still amazed. I got the right shoe at a decent price. I also wanted to support a small local business who is involved with the local running scene. I would be surprised if I buy running shoes from anywhere else after this experience.
