That company utterly failed my pool went from see through to a swamp and the water level was at least 2 feet low, after seeing this through our cameras I stared calling the hired pool company for 3-4 days of no response back from the company, gleamin pools (blake) showed up. He worked day and night for over a week to get our pool back to a manageable level. We have been using gleaming pools since April 9th. Both Blake and Jacob have been perfect to work with, shows up when they are supposed to and responded when I have txt them with questions. I highly recommend Gleamin pools!

We have a new crew working on your botched job, have to spend more time and money with this project. We told him not to cover the WEEP HOLES and he told us "is okay for me" like are you serious? He told my fiancé he will not be covering those, he did not even tell us he did. We had to find out for ourselves. The pipes were all crooked and not buried below the foundation. Just a complete liar.

Darwin has been the scammiest, most amateur and most dishonest contractor we have ever worked with…read morein Harris County, and that is saying something. Beware. We had Darwin give an estimate for some drainage pipes. We said we needed drainage baisins below the foundation along one side of the house to keep water from leaking into the house, and a drainage pipe snaking along another side of the house to remove water from our back patio. We showed Darwin the concrete that needed to be cut up, and the foundation that we needed drainage basins below. Darwin said he could do the job for $5000. After a day or two of work, our lawn was all dug up and the concrete was cur up, pipes were laid down, and Darwin said he needed more money. We went to inspect the work. The drainage basins were above the foundation and therefore not working to keep water out of the wall. Darwin said for him, it would be better to fill the weepholes in the brick wall with concrete. We told him not to do that because it will cause the wall to retain water. We wanted the drainage basins below the foundation like we had discussed. We came back a couple hours later and Darwin had filled our weepholes with concrete. We inspected more of the work. The pipes were not consistently sloped in the direction of the drainage. They just plopped in the pipes and didn't bother to level or slope them at all. There is standing water at the various low points of the "drainage" pipe which does not drain. Darwin said this is fine and kept asking for more money. We paid him $2500 because we felt bad for his guys, but we were clear we needed the job done correctly, the way we had originally discussed. Properly sloped drainage and basins below the foundation. We even said we would be willing to go over budget if Darwin would promise to do the work properly as originally discussed. Darwin refused to commit to doing the work properly so we fired him. We found another drainage specialist who confirmed that Darwin's work was shoddy and actually so bad that it makes our drainage worse everywhere he worked. I would have been happy to never hear from Darwin again and not post this review, but Darwin is now harassing and threatening my fiance trying to get $6500 out of us for this unfinished, worse-than-nothing job. "Pipe slope down" is literally the first thing to know about drainage, and Darwin doesn't know it.

They began within a week of our signed contract and finished within a week even though we had a big surprise in that they discovered that the pool had 2 layers of plaster which doubled the prep time that we had anticipated. They did a very thorough and beautiful job installing "Stonescapes Black Mini Pebble" to give our pool a very natural water appearance for our old French style home. Before they left they power washed even the deck area, picking up all of their trash, packed up every thing that they brought and left us with a gorgeous "new" pool. It's not very common that I can say that about contractors. They typically don't even see the trash that they leave and just go off and leave it. I can't say enough good things about the service they provided and the end result.

He was kind enough to notify of a place where a crack in the tile joint was allowing water to flow from the hot tub and washing out the grout by seeping under the tile. Pretty easy fix but it had already loosened some of the tile and needs attention by doing a bit of re-grouting and sealing. Fantastic work at a reasonable price. A bit higher than the last outfit that removed calcium with a pressure washer but largely by mechanical scraping taking three people but still did not get it 100% removed. One guy, 2.5 hours with Houston Mobile.

Then they told us the problem was that the pool timer wasn't working properly. So, they said we had to replace the timer. We did that, and suddenly the motor stopped working. We were told we had to replace the motor, so we did. When we checked, we noticed that many of the motor's screws were new, which seemed strange because the motor itself wasn't 100% new. The screws should have looked old or rusty like the motor, but instead they were new. We asked them to please help us with the restart, but the technician never answered again. The warranty they promised for their work was never honored. The technician doesn't respond to messages, and there was no guarantee at all.
