Oh VOLTA…read more This show is unlike any other Cirque Du Soleil show I've seen yet. This show has everything you expect from a Cirque show and more. The show has high flying aerialist and acrobats performing hoop diving, rings and even slackline. Jump ropers who go as fast as the light on the rope - and BMX riders that can perform tricks on their bikes that will leave your jaw on the ground. This show incorporates technology in the show with the lighting and use of projection on the stage to show "memories". The show is well constructed and has a great storyline behind it. The greys, the free spirits and the super elites. The costumes in this show are unique with each grouping mentioned above, as each costume has a different representation. The music in the show is great, it is something that can be listened to often and you would not know that it belong to a Cirque Du Soleil show. The Grand Chapiteau (the big top) is designed differently than the traditional colors of the big top which are usually a yellow gold and a dark blue. Volta has a grey big top tent and then they associate with lights so the tent changes colors which is neat to see at night time. The show is great for a girls night out, date night with a significant other or a day out with the kiddos. Just remember to find your free spirit.

I won the tickets from Yelp and I can't thank them enough. Every seat in the show is designed to see the performance from a great angle. The stage is circular and the artists sort of rotate in a way that no matter if your sitting in the last row or the first, you will enjoy it. You can buy the tickets online and the show is still currently being featured until February 4 2018. (I think) My favorite act was the one where they used bicycles and did some amazing acrobatic things with them. I always enjoy the singing or music aspect of Cirque Du Soleil as well. Side Note: Parking is convenient and always monitored by the employees, so your vehicle will not get stuck or no one will block it. It was cash or you can use your sun pass sticker which makes it $5 cheaper. VOLTA is here for a little while longer in Miami, go check it out to get amazed by the performances.~

Mariachi has now become one of the most recognizable Latin music types. Carrying the Mariachi torch in South Florida is the Mariachi Show Mexicanisimo. This musical group can be hired to perform at your private events including birthdays, weddings, and other celebrations. I was able to watch them perform at a friends milestone birthday celebration. The singers had great harmony and they can sing in both Spanish and English. They offer 30 and 50 minute performances. When my family was embarking on a cruise from Fort Lauderdale, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to introduce my own kids to the Jungle Queen. It's a short boat ride that takes you through the canals behind the mansions and quasi-famous homes on the water. Your guide on board will tell you about the homes and landmarks you pass en route. There is a bar on board, so no need to sail sober! LOL There are also a few snacks for purchase. The air movement on the boat keeps you from getting too warm, even when the sun is blazing, but don't forget your sunscreen. There's no bad seat aboard. All in all, it's a nice little boat ride if you're looking to get outside and burn some time in Fort Lauderdale. There is a string of food shops along the waterfront outside the entrance, so you can plan to grab lunch or dinner before or after your ride. We really enjoyed our trip, but I'm deducting one star due to the boat traffic (which I know they cannot really help). Maneuvering around all the other drunks in their watercraft was kind of a drag.

We had an amazing time seeing the 3rd place World Cup match between England and France! We rented a…read moreparking space in a local family's driveway in a nearby neighborhood and thought we could walk to the stadium, but the police on the street directed us towards a nearby casino where school buses were shuttling people to the stadium. It was quick and efficient with buses coming one after another and their own designated traffic lane. The view from level 3 was still so clear and easy to see the players, finding our way to our section was easy with all the signage and staff around to guide you, and getting into and out of the stadium was somehow very smooth and efficient despite the nearly 70k people. Water bottles were $6 and a beer was $20, crazy prices but expected for an event like this. The stadium and staff can definitely handle a large scale event like the World Cup. The hardest part was the traffic after the event which is expected with that many people in one area. Overall had a blast!

We were staying in Aventura and we took the free shuttle from the Brightline Station to the stadium parking lot which took about 30 minutes + a long hike to the stadium. There are houses in the area offering parking in their drive way for $40 if you had a car. Ride shares don't drop you off/ pick you up at the stadium. They had 3 drop off locations which are nowhere near the stadium, They weren't giving free water to spectators like they did in Boston. Miami is hotter and more humid than Boston. The staff are less friendly. We were here for the Norway vs England quarter final match. There were fans who didn't pay for category 1 tickets but had the audacity to sit in the 100 sections! Nobody was checking tickets. There's a lot of food options at each section. There are no restaurants right outside the stadium. The stadium is also open and no shade from the sun unless you're in the nosebleed section. Around the stadium is the fan zone. We got our free souvenirs: bracelets from Bank of America, Coke cups from the Coke stands, and cups from Michelob. There was a super long line for the big FIFA store. Some people grabbed 5-10 match scarves so there was none left for everyone else. Entertainment included Ellie Goulding but the audio wasn't working properly so you couldn't hear her. Steve Aoki performed at halftime for 64,478 fans.
