VOLTA is an amazing show. It's near the hardrock stadium in Miami. Circque Du Soleil never disappoints in their creative, props, storyline, talented artists and more. I won the tickets from Yelp and I can't thank them enough. Every seat in the show is designed to see the performance from a great angle. The stage is circular and the artists sort of rotate in a way that no matter if your sitting in the last row or the first, you will enjoy it. You can buy the tickets online and the show is still currently being featured until February 4 2018. (I think) My favorite act was the one where they used bicycles and did some amazing acrobatic things with them. I always enjoy the singing or music aspect of Cirque Du Soleil as well. Side Note: Parking is convenient and always monitored by the employees, so your vehicle will not get stuck or no one will block it. It was cash or you can use your sun pass sticker which makes it $5 cheaper. VOLTA is here for a little while longer in Miami, go check it out to get amazed by the performances.~ read more

Oh VOLTA This show is unlike any other Cirque Du Soleil show I've seen yet. This show has everything you expect from a Cirque show and more. The show has high flying aerialist and acrobats performing hoop diving, rings and even slackline. Jump ropers who go as fast as the light on the rope - and BMX riders that can perform tricks on their bikes that will leave your jaw on the ground. This show incorporates technology in the show with the lighting and use of projection on the stage to show "memories". The show is well constructed and has a great storyline behind it. The greys, the free spirits and the super elites. The costumes in this show are unique with each grouping mentioned above, as each costume has a different representation. The music in the show is great, it is something that can be listened to often and you would not know that it belong to a Cirque Du Soleil show. The Grand Chapiteau (the big top) is designed differently than the traditional colors of the big top which are usually a yellow gold and a dark blue. Volta has a grey big top tent and then they associate with lights so the tent changes colors which is neat to see at night time. The show is great for a girls night out, date night with a significant other or a day out with the kiddos. Just remember to find your free spirit. read more

I was able to get the tickets through Yelp! As a child, I had first heard of this show in my French Class and every time I see flyers, posters, and drove by the whimsical tents in Atlanta, always wanted to go. I got a chance and was super blessed to see the sheer talent, imagery, performance, and themes that they presented. Overall I thought they introduced a very thought provoking theme, this time it is elites (people burdened by status, the mundane, cell phone use, greyness, belongingness, non individuality, and confimist) vs the free spirits (free, colorful, flowing, chaotic, and joyful). It features a man who has battled bullying and feeling alone due to having blue feathers for his hair and wound up joining the elites to confirm and hide his deformity. The show explores his battle between the two sides and it is clear what side Cirque Du Soleil presents In terms of talent- the flags outside of the tents show the performers' nationalities! And the talent was truly from all over the world from the trapeze artist, trapeze through hair, gymnists, stunt cyclists, singers, dancers, etc. I love this b/c it does not exploit animals and it is purely artistry rather than clowning that seeks to ridicule and at times make one feel uncomfortable at the "freakishness" of the individual rather than actual wonder and appreciation that circustry is truly an art and not just some freak show which I feel circuses sometimes borderline maintain as a stereotype. The energy and passion that the dancers and performers themselves were inspiring and i fyou don't feel energy form them, then you were asleep throughout the show. There are small cute skits in between the main theme which were good comedic relief but also showcases clowning and pantomimig, make this a well balanced performance I thought the ending was a little weak in terms of story plot, but I suppose it lets the audience go home and ponder about elitism vs. adventurism. but the bicycling show at the end was truly awesome! read more

Last night I attended Volta by Cirque Du Soleil located just outside the Hard Rock Stadium. Upon entering you'll need to pay a $30 parking fee so remember to bring that amount. Ease of entry and exit was surprisingly a breeze; we arrived 45 mins earlier. The parking lot that hosts this event is transformed into a theater that seats around 3500 guests that includes a gift shop, VIP area that serves alcohol and some food. If you haven't been to a Cirque Du Soleil show, I highly recommend seeing this one. This group seamlessly fuses highly trained acrobatics, with live music performances and light that isn't done better by anyone else. Their permanent Vegas Shows at Bellagio, MGM Grand and Mirage tell you why no one even compares to what this entertainment group does. For a closer permanent stage show, go see La Nouba at Downtown Disney in Orlando. Volta was one of the best I've seen and the music was excellent too; the performance acts were also all highly skilled as if like second nature. I don't want to give it all away but there's still time at this writing for you to get some great affordable seats. It'll be the best money spent while leaving you mesmerized. One of my favorite parts of the show was the music; the lead singer was truly amazing as all their soundtracks from all shows are worth buying. My photos and videos don't do it justice so try and get over there, or gift a good friend or family member a couple tickets. They'll love you for life. read more

This show was no different, nice costumes, beautiful performances and an amazingly talented group of people. I love this venue because it doesn't matter what price range of tickets you get, every seat has a good view of the show. I loved this show and highly recommend you see it, such cool acts. My husband purchased us tickets as a surprise Wedding Anniversary gift. This show met all the expectations of Cirque Soleil brand! The Stage, production, lighting, costumes, make up, sound and talent will keep you highly entertained and in suspense during the entire show. We were extremely impressed by this show and really enjoyed it! I would definitely recommend you arrive early in order to enjoy some refreshments and snacks available for purchase. If you arrive early you also have the option of upgrading your seats. The beginning of the show reminded me of the Hunger Games. This show is great for a romantic date or a family night! The only downfall is the $30.00 parking which you don't really have an option to pay because you don't have any other nearby place to park. Would definitely recommend for a great time! read more

I got the tickets for Cirque Du Soleil VOLTA months ago as Christmas Gifts for my kids and I knew they will love it. Once again they impressed us with a phenomenal production, this time called Volta. As soon as we got there the security ladies checking the bags at the entrance, welcomed us with a huge smile on their faces. We went inside the beautiful Cirque Du Sloeil Tent, where they were selling stuff from the show as well as drinks and food like pop corn, almonds etc. Before the show started we went to the restroom and they had portable ones. These were so clean and I was honestly surprised to find them clean like that...Good job! Finally we went to our seats, this were comfortable and we enjoyed the wonderful show. A/C was working perfectly fine, I never felt cold or hot. The show was amazing, the music played live was just perfect, the performers dancing, singing, jumping and acting were once again outstanding. I was scared more than once of the dangerous moves they did, but these people are professionals and they did a great job. The only thing I didn't like was the parking fee of $30...too much, at least for a single mom like me. This was my 4th Cirque Du Soleil show and it lived up to its reputation of putting on a fantastic show. South Florida was in a deep freeze at 50 degrees last night but that didn't stop the people of south Florida to show up to a full house to watch VOLTA. Cirque management knows how to put up a show day in day out. Parking was a breeze and we were able to pay with the SunPass. Once parked it was a minute walk to the main entrance where security did a quick check on everyone before you enter through the huge tent. The show started promptly at 8pm and as usual it was awesome. The magic of the Cirque show is on full display when you watch and the uniforms and performances are fantastic. We got a 25 minute intermission during which time people were able to buy food and drinks. I got a small dibs box to munch on while we waited. Volta was awesome and I would like to thank Yelp BPB for giving us the tickets to enjoy a great evening of entertainment. Looking forward to next year when the Cirque show comes to town with a different theme. read more

My significant other bought me tix for Christmas. I have seen many Cirque shows but he has never seen one in person. I was super excited for him to go. I read the other reviews and someone in my office said it was "great and one of the best ones!" Parking was $25 with Sunpass. Kind of pricey like other reviewers mentioned for parking in dirt/rocks. We had good seats (row E) but supposedly there's not a bad seat in the house. The characters came out to start revving up the crowd and the premise started out like a game show, which was cool but went downhill from there. I felt this show was lackluster and disappointing. The highlights for me were the female vocalist, the woman who swung from her hair, and the washing machine scene. Other than that, it was a BMX bike, skate, and jump rope competition- which are respectable in their own right but not Cirque caliber. read more

Stunning show! Like all Cirque Du Soleil shows, I was in awe the whole time watching the amazing feats of the performers. It was truly amazing. The tent was also impressive. The lighting outside, the indoor concessions, gift shop, and the stage, was amazing. It's crazy to think they build and take these down every couple months. The show itself was great. I will say I wish there was some more diversity. There were so many segments with all men that all looked the same. But aside from that I really enjoyed the show. Wow! Was lucky enough to win tickets through Yelp to attend the show (thank you so much again)! Am so glad I got to see it! From start to finish it was incredible. The performers are extremely talented, and the music and lighting were awesome. The event was easy to access, but I was a little surprised that they charge $30 (or $25 with SunPass) for an event like this, especially since the parking lot is just an uneven, gravel lot, and I know these tickets can get expensive! It wasn't an issue for us, but many people who parked around us were discussing it! Inside, concessions were available for purchase, at typical event prices. We arrived early so had some time to enjoy refreshments. Staff taking tickets and serving at the concession stands were very friendly! My only critique was when they announced the "housekeeping" info before the show, they made it very humorous...and the only authentic points they seemed to make were about the location of emergency exits, and not to use flash photography for the safety of performers. However it seemed they really didn't want people using their phones at all during the show, as staff kept running around tapping people on the shoulder telling them to put their phones down, which happened several times in our seating area. Not a big deal - but could have been saved, just by clarifying protocol at the start of the show! Overall I would highly recommend this, and am so grateful I had the opportunity to see it! read more

Great Show. When we pulled up, I was hesitant given the venue is in a big tent in a big parking lot with nothing around it. But once inside the atmosphere was fantastic. It was much more intimate than Cirques big venue Vegas or Disney shows. We felt the narrative and the various acts really supported each other well. We've been to a number of Cirque shows and this one ranked among the best. We popped for the VIP package and it was really worth it - fantastic food, champagne and an open bar. It even came with VIP popcorn. It was a great way to spend Christmas Eve. If you're in the greater Miami area, check out this show! read more

I went to the show in atlanta last night with 11 other people. The show was fun to watch but the story is very poorly executed and not understandable or really relatable. If you go for the acrobatics you'll be super happy but if you're expecting a well thought out theater experience & storyline, that's not what this is and you'll likely be scratching your head after the very abrupt and awkward ending. Who is the singer in the sparkly red outfit with top hat? What's his role? Was he Wazs' father? And what the heck is he singing about? I couldn't understand a single word he sang. And then there's the violin lady... what was her role (wazs' mother maybe?) and what was she singing about? I think the sound system might be poorly designed & put together? Maybe that's why the singers sounded like they were not saying words but instead, loudly moaning into wet towels? And what was the mumbling WOW guy all about? He was pantomiming being at the beach arguing with a baby or toddler that he didn't even know? He was trying to do laundry? How does any of this fit with the show? His part was the least fun of the show. I couldn't wait for it to be over. He was super talented but this "comedy" didn't fit into the exciting acrobatic show. The live music was a nice touch. It didn't seem like a soundtrack at all. If you like to watch incredibly in-shape people, hanging and wildly spinning from ropes and wires ...way too often... you'll love Volta. The blue seats are tiny. My butt still hurts and I'm just a regular sized guy. read more

Let me start by saying that I LOVED this show so much! I had pretty high expectations going in due to Cirque du Soleil as a brand and I'm so happy they met those expectations. I was lucky enough to score a pair of tickets through yelp (thanks Diandra!!) a few days before the show and could not wait to check it out. We were in section 201 which was center left-ish BUT I swear there are NO bad seats. The venue was surprisingly small and intimate so that no matter where you're sitting you get a great view and feel connected to the show and cast. As mentioned parking is $30 which kinda sucks but at least it wasn't difficult to park of to get out of the parking at the end of the night. When you walk up to the tent there's a drink & food stand to your left but just skip it and go inside because there's a ton more inside with a few extra options! The price of beer is insane ($12 for budlight) but a double vodka/rum cocktail is only $19 so that's definitely the way to go here. I also purchased a large bag of sour patch kids ($5) to have something to snack on during the show. I don't want to give anything away regarding the actual show because it was so unexpectedly funny and entertaining-the whole crowd was laughing out loud. I highly recommend everyone buy tickets for a fun and different night out in Miami! read more

We just came back from Volta after a rainy afternoon in the city. Although the acts were fine, I can't help but feel it's lost some of it's magic. Yes, this is probably the 5th Cirque show I've seen so it may be harder to be "wowed," but overall, it felt flat and SHORT. The music was fine, but unmemorable like other Cirque shows I've been to. The first half (1 hr) of the show started strong with some a great jump rope act and a standout trampoline act. We were expecting more excitement after the 25 minute intermission. However, there were only 2-3 acts after intermission and the show finished in 1.5 hrs + intermission. Coming home and reading reviews, it was clear there were at least 2-3 additional acts that just didn't happen. Amazing woman hanging by her hair? BMX bikes doing aerial stunts?? Not during our afternoon performance... Were performers sick? Was there equipment failure? Was staff on an early Xmas break? Whatever the case, can't help but feel shorted on the performance given the price of these tickets. Feeling like a partial refund is in order. Bathrooms were outside and you had to wait in the rain for the port-a-potties. Again, management could of done better. This is probably the first Cirque due Soleil show that I walked away asking, "was that worth it???" read more

I've watch the magic of Cirque shows since their 250 seat tent debuted at the arts festival attached to the 1984 Summer Olympiad in Los Angeles. Of all of them, Volta is high energy but seems low budget for Cirque. Costumes not as magical, story thread weak, and, to cut down on performers they do a lot of platooning that seems to compromise the acts. You see one flub, maybe, in a Cirque show. There were MANY. The staging was not magic. The set is sterile, and the comedy limited and even that they screwed up. I'll come to another show. Volta is short-circuit Cirque du Soleil. read more

It's always a pleasure to experience Cirque no matter the location or theme. We were not disappointed with this year's Volta, filled with lots of laughs, beautiful costumes and amazing performances. I was lucky to have won a pair of giveaway tickets with Yelp. We arrived at the Hard Rock stadiums parking lot, $30 parking rate, with enough time to grab a cocktail at the specialty drink concession stand. The lobby/concession area was spacious and offers various snacks, drinks, souvenirs and photo op sections. These tents don't make you feel like you're inside of one. They were extremely comfortable and temperature controlled. And I must mention that the porter potties were the fanciest I've ever seen. Plenty available and as clean as they can be. We thoroughly enjoyed this show and look forward to what next year brings. read more

Wow !! What an amazing show! I truly enjoyed my evening and highly recommend this show to couples and families alike. From the second the show begins to the funny banter in between the acts, I enjoyed every minute! Volta is a colorful, jaw dropping show that stresses the importance of living in the moment and most importantly living in COLOR! The entertainers are SO talented ! I loved each act but I think my favorite was the girl who was being pulled up by her hair . Truly astonishing! I would go back again in a heartbeat . read more

I am so very lucky to have gotten to see this performance. I was absolutely blown away. It being my first ever Cirque Du Soleil experience, I really didn't know what to expect. I was not disappointed. I love how the make it such an intimate setting. You can see the show from no matter where you are sitting. Part of the stage was even motorized and moved around certain acts. Being under an actual tent was an incredible surprise! I had no idea they did that. The storyline was incredible. The music and singing was also unexpected and excellent. There was also a comedy aspect that I freaking loved and appreciated. I was fortunate enough to go with my bff, it was also her first one. We haven't stopped talking about it since. This was first cds show and it was very underwhelming. I kept waiting for the wow factor and I never got it. I do appreciate the athleticism presented by the acrobats but the show overall lacked so much. I do not recommend this show. I assume other shows are better executed. read more

I've been to several Cirque du Soleil performances over the years. I've watched the events get more and more 'corporate,' with ever more opportunities to squeeze the audience of a few more bucks, whether it's the $20 program or the $8 water. But the performers save the day in the end, because they are top knotch. And so it is with Volta - the performers are top knotch, but just about everything else falls flat - the story line (if there is one), the music, even the set. It's the worst one so far, which is still pretty good because the performers are incredible, but the show is simply not worth the price. read more

Other than the steep prices on the above Volta was an amazing experience! All performers were extremely talented and you can tell they were passionate about their performance. I've seen 6 or 7 Cirque shows and my daughter was visiting so I thought it would be a fun evening. I was terribly disappointed. I thought it was an expensive show...and parking was another $30! It wasn't any of the oooo's and ahhhhh's of other shows I've seen..thought it was kind of amateurish. And kind of silly with a terrible lead singer (man) and attempts to be slap stick funny. Volta was fun! Parking is $25 or $30 depending on if you use cash or Sunpass ($5 discount w/ Sunpass). The line to get inside wasn't bad at all. They have a wine and beer tent outside or they have everything else under the big tent! They have alcohol, water, drinks, snacks, etc - which all take credit cards or cash. The seating was a little tight but wasn't too bad. Overall the show was fun and interactive but isn't like the shows in Vegas... still a fun experience and good performers. read more

The show tonight was not up to Cirque previous shows. It ended half hour early and no explanation for 3 missing acts. No hair hanging girl, hoop jumping, or BMx bikes on the Ramps which is the finale for the show and why we went. Read tonight one of the bike performers was injured on Dec 7th, but we were told nothing about none of them performing tonight. We left at the end surprised by the boring performances and wondering what was missing. Looking up on the internet at least 3 acts were missing. Usually we are wowed by Cirque but this time we were speechless from the lack of performance. read more
