My State Farm Agent, Alex Hartman in Schertz, TX, is not only extremely knowledgeable and professional, but one who truly cares about his clients! After I moving into my townhouse I was absolutely devastated to find out my entertainment center, master bedroom furniture set (including my mattress), to only name a few items, had been stolen. The day I moved was very chaotic and I trusted the moving crew implicitly, as my friend arranged the move. These items were not only of sentimental value, but expensive to replace. I had renters insurance through Alex/State Farm, but I had no idea how I would ever replace them as I did not believe renters insurance would do me much good. I did; however, contact Alex and he encouraged me to file a claim. I did not think it would be to my advantage to move forward because of the depreciation involved, but Alex encouraged me to file and walked me through each step of the process. I still was not convinced, but as Alex always does, he followed-up and asked if I had filed my claim. Once again, he advised me to move forward with the process and answered a few questions I had. Finally convinced, I filed and a State Farm agent was assigned to my claim. She too was simply amazing. Thankfully I had some receipts, so she walked me through the process of placing a value on everything that was stolen. Much to my surprise and great blessing, State Farm gave me a very generous settlement! I was stunned! Renters Insurance is not a joke at least not through State Farm. Thanks to Alex and the State Farm agent, I no longer feel like a victim and was able to replace many items. This has alleviated so much stress and I cannot thank Alex enough!! I have been a customer for many years and I am not going anywhere! I have told many people my story, including my Landlord, as I want people to understand that you don't have to be a victim if you have an outstanding agent who represents an outstanding company! My family and I have been State Farm customers since November of 2007. During that time we have moved state to state three times so we are not unfamiliar with either State Farm nor the transfer process. I had contacted a competing agent prior to moving to get new in state rates, and initiate the transfer process. This office failed, in more ways I care to list, totally in getting our policies transferred quickly and correctly. After tiring of the other office's lack of doing anything really, I contacted Mr. Hartman's and asked that he now take over the process. He and his staff were most helpful.
