Travelers TOOK OUR ACCOUNT DIRECT INSTANTLY - along with a 12 month instead of 6 month (our choice). - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Now, a month later, they pulled another BS "Ooops we did it again" and informed us that "Travelers Cancelled our Home Owners!". WTF?! Again, we contacted Travelers and they said "NOPE - Steady decided to not work with us anymore", and assured us in writing that we are 100% covered. So - CONTACT TRAVELERS DIRECTLY - get the BEST RATES and No Steadily BS Unethical Behavior.

Our new construction home had a builders risk policy with State Farm via the general contractor. I…read morehad a feeling and called to verify the policy status. I called Luke Smith and after 10 days of inquiries, I was told our policy had been canceled 2 months earlier leaving us vulnerable with no coverage. No notification from the GC or State Farm and I had to check with them to even find out this happened. We then had to buy our own very expensive homeowners policy through State Farm with a builders risk clause. Our home wasn't far enough into completion to go with our existing insurer. I called in 11/16/21 and spoke with Michelle. She was pleasant and listened. I told her I was not very happy with them and my insurance could provide same coverage for less than 1/2 the money. She indicated it was easiest to wait for the policy renewal to switch over. I agreed to wait until 1/27/22 to switch to another insurer to make it easy. I confirmed with her the charge would be effective 1/27/22. On 12/28 I received a letter from State Farm that my coverage was canceled in 11/16/21 when I called. What??!! I left a message at Luke Smith's office and no one even bothered to call me back. Negligent and put me in potential huge financial risk AGAIN! No apology or anything. Not sure how they are in business. More like a really bad neighbor!! I too will never do business with State Farm due to this agent.
