Finally, long I've been waiting and for years of waiting, I was able to get my citizenship, all thanks to Attorney Alex and the rest of his staff. Please don't go to this place. Diana is the laziest paralegal that I have met. She made me go to ciudad Juarez when I didn't even have an appointment with the consulate. I was 17 and had no way of going back to the country as I had willingly left the US for my immigration appointment leaving me stuck in Mexico. 7 months later I finally got my appointment and even then Diana hadn't sent all the documents so my green card was denied. I was stuck in cuidad Juarez for 3 weeks while the required documents were sent to the consulate and then my green card was approved. This man is a con artist. He put me down as having two houses when I am on food stamps. He was supposed to notify me when my accounts for my 5000 went below 2500. I got two messages one when I was down to $1000 and just now where I found out I Owe 2 hundred. Save your trouble and run. Very very bad. Stay away. Not worth your time, not worth your money. We were referred to him by our company and we were told that we cannot do the consultation on phone so we made a 3:30 appointment. We arrived at 3:22, and his previous client just stepped out at the same time. We told him our issue (maintaining citizenship/greencard name change alignments required for greencard holders) he did not even listen to us. He did not sit, he did not invite us inside, he just talk to us literally for 2 minutes at the lobby, repeating I dont know that as many times as 2-3 minutes would allow. And we were asked out at 3:27pm, even before our 30-minute appointment was supposed to start. Could not be worse. And it is at a very sketchy part of San Jose, beware. I am not surprised that he cannot afford an office at a better location with this attitude. read more

I never thought in a million years I would need a lawyer for a traffic ticket but my attempts to modify a commissioners decision in the matter failed I came to Alex Lubarsky for help. I was 6 mo pregnant at the time and in no condition to be battling the court for justice. Mr. Lubarsky may be an expert at immigration law but he also is an expert at dealing with even minor traffic ticket issues! After filing an appeal and oral brief on my behalf and going to court Mr. Lubarsky won for me exactly what was originally "denied". CLC referred me to Alex, but unfortunately it was not a pleasant experience. The main problem is that although our agreement is based on a flat fee, Lubarsky asks for additional payment in the middle of the case, and then we terminated the contract. The retainer fee for CLC referral is low and attractive, but within two months, he asked for 2X more to continue the work on the same case. Based on the contract and our conversation, this engagement should cover all that are prior to jury trial (which to my understanding is the industrial standard). Surprisingly, when a charge was filed against me, he requested for additional payment and became unwilling to even obtain the Police Report. He started to play games, such as he could not contact Police without being my lawyer (with our engagement letter, wasn't he?) There are a few items that he promised, but he did not do. Since I retained Lubarsky, his strategy was to do minimal and hoped the case would be dropped on its own. He did not represent me when I interviewed with case worker, and at the end, the interview report did not look good (I think some wordings could be much better, had my lawyer been with me). I do not think he even asked for a copy of the interview report. Besides, he is not proactive. He did not keep me informed of the actions and results in a timely manner, several times, and I had to wait and then to remind him in order to know the status. After we terminated the contract, the documents that he returned to me were unprofessional: he mailed me partial files that I sent to him via email and nothing more. Lastly, the last time when I discussed with him in his office about the next step, I was basically kicked out of the office because he said he had 5 or 6 people waiting outside. I felt horrible and do not think Lubarsky is passionate about helping his client. Money, time, and effort were wasted. He did not help my case at all, if not made it worse. Not satisfactory We were referred to him by our company (Hyatt legal plan). I was eligible for a free phone consultation and 30 minutes of personal consultation before we decide to hire him. But I was told I need to wait for 2 weeks to talk to him by phone but I can meet him in person in 2 days. I was booked at 3.30pm for 30 mints. But he was double booked on all slots. Wish I was advised before about this ahead of time, so I would have booked some other time and used the time effectively. read more

Alex and Eugene (very talented young lawyer at the firm) did a great job and thanks to them our case has now been resolved in our favor. Without going into details I will say that the case was very complex with some huge roadblocks set by immigration services which is why it went on for over 4 years. I was referred to Alexander H. Lubarsky to represent me on my Ch. 7 Bankruptcy. During my consultation I told him that I was married but my wife was not going to file for bankruptcy. I filled out all the paperwork and paid him the $1500 fee. I went to my Bankruptcy court and the judge asked me if I was married, and I said yes. The judge said i had to come back with the proper paperwork and after that was told by Alxander that I would have to pay him another $750 to reschedule another court date. I told him that I am not going to pay the $750 because it was not my fault that he was not prepared. Alexander is very unprofessional and rude. As we were talking on the phone about the unjustified fee he hung up on me and said he was going to cancel my file. This man is very rude and unprofessional and would not recommend him to my worst enemy. I am going to do everything that the law permits to exploit this man's malpractice. read more
