Talking to the guy I learned that it was "appointment only", but fortunately he had an opening after the guy he was finishing up. Really friendly guys, usually they have some car show on the big screen, it's your typical little barber shop. Calling a day or two in advance for an appointment is normally more than adequate. I think they do that because there isn't much seating or parking, plus you don't have to wait! I haven't even bothered checking out any other barbers in town, I'm more than happy with the quality and service here. As long as they keep things the same I'll be a customer for life.

Charlie does the same thing and uses his own made-by-hand shaving cream! I asked Charlie how long he has been cutting hair: 50 years! He was a very nice guy and the haircut was great. He doesn't accept card like all good places, so bring a $20, but you're only going to need $14. He has a sign on his shop that says "Profanity in the presence of woman and children will not be tolerated." If that doesn't tell you that this is a classic Barber shop, I don't know what will. I was hesitant in going back to Lew's because of the price, so I really needed a haircut. I was happy to find Charlie's because the value you get in a haircut, the environment, Charlie himself, and the price. The wait was a little long, but that's how a Barbershop works. Walkins only, no appointments. No frills, just a guy who's cut hair for most of his life. I noticed that Charlie's only had one review on Yelp. I hope that if you've made it this far, you're already on your way here. He deserves the credit. I will be returning from now on for future haircuts.
