What really got me was the notice on the wall that if you, the customer, were 10 minutes late, they would cancel your appointment. During the COVID crisis, they are still open and taking in animals, but are limiting people to their vehicles and calling in. So they are maximizing safety of their customers and associates, while still being a resource to our community. Our most challenging, and not routine, visit was when our larger pup was having severe rear leg pain. His back left leg could not be touched, and a dog that almost never cries out in discomfort was screaming in pain. This isn't an issue with most dogs, as one can easily pick them up and move them. Tonk, a 172 pound Caucasian Ovcharka with a 700+ pound bite force, is not so easy to do this with. When we called, they made sure to squeeze us in for a visit (emergency reaction without an emergency cost!), and after evaluating at the car, they brought out a gurney, and were especially careful in helping to move him over.
