They were so compassionate when we had to put our dog down, they came to the car and got her with a cart, and took her in through the back so I didn't have to see any one. I was devastated that I had to put her down, and they told me each step as they did it and told me I could stay as long as I wanted afterward. they kept the light off for comfort for the dog and me. I have been taking my dog into this clinic for the last seven years and have been very happy with them until now when my dog is ill and I needed to bring him in they had no time for me so I would have to wait till after July 4, that I should take him to an emergency I think it's sad that when someone takes care of your animal and when it comes near the end, they don't have time for you. I've been to many vets and never had a problem getting my dog in when he was ill. Just sad. read more

A few months after moving to Monroe, I had to refill my senior dog's heartworm medication. I looked at reviews online for vets in the area and Ark was sounding like a great option. I called and was able to make a morning appointment (ideal for my schedule) for an exam, heartworm test and lepto vaccine, as he was due. The staff and doctor were very personable, informative and responsive from the intial scheduling to the follow-up call the next day. Due to the current COVID restrictions, they met me at the door to take my dog back for his exam, the doctor then phoned me and we discussed the checkup, what was going to be done that day, any questions/concerns, and anything the doc had noticed. The staff brought him back out to me and we finished the transaction both over the phone and carside. My big goofy dog was happy and so was I! Absolutely recommend. read more

Woohoo! FINALLY! A place I can get my dog groomed that doesn't completely suck! I have a shih-tzu, who is not a big fan of getting groomed. After lots of failed attempts, we started having our dog sedated in order to get him groomed every few months. After having some dismal experiences with another animal hospital, I decided to find a new clinic that offered sedated grooming. I browsed their website, which is pretty nice looking and thorough considering most animal care websites are not very user-friendly. I called in and spoke to a wonderful receptionist who set me up with a 2 part appointment. He'd have the doc take a look at the dog, make sure everything was okay, and as long as they signed off, we could have our dog groomed that day while the groomer was in. My husband said that the staff was helpful, nice, and no-fuss. He spoke with the doctor as well as the groomer, and they said they'd take a shot at grooming him without any meds, and would dose as necessary to get the job done. While our dog was in their care, they had called a few times letting us know the status and cofirming that it was okay to increase his sedation as needed. Once he was done, they called and let us know he was awake- and gave us a specific time to come pick him up. They called the next day just to make sure the dog was doing okay after his long day at the vet. What a nice gesture! I'll definitely be moving all of our vet appointments/dog care needs to this location! read more

Our rescue dog Dusty had problems from the first day we got him, they have taken great care of him for the past couple years. Yesterday he had to be euthanized due to illness. What a compassionate and caring environment they have. When we get a new fur baby we will be coming back. We have been taking my 8 year old bulldog here ever since she was a puppy! We have a 1 year old kitten who has gone to ark since we got him too! They saved my bulldog when she was 6 & she is passing by the avg life expectancy for her breed. We chose ark because of their experience with bulldogs & they have not steered us wrong since. They know what they're doing & care more about the animals than they do the people. They've never once lied to us & have always been reasonably priced. It's $45 to be seen by the vet & her expertise is always well worth it. They give pawdicures for only $6. Never been disappointed & they have kept my beloved furry friends alive. read more

Although at first visit everyone was friendly and helpful, After they had Discovered our dog isn't the most laid back when visiting a vet, our Prices got higher and we started to receive a lack of good service with every phone call about our dog. Be advised that unless you're dog can walk in and be the easiest dog to handle, they will adjust accordingly for their inconvenience rather than being helpful to a dog who really does need a good vet who can handle him. Dr. Pogarch is considerate, incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and willing to go the extra mile. When my dogs go to the clinic, she and her staff greet them by name, make sure they are at ease, and treat them as if they are family!
