Upon arrival, I see that I'm the only patient to see Dr. Wininger and assumed that I would see the doctor shortly. I filled out a two page paper of my insurance and personal information as a new patient. Within five minutes later, a nurse called me into a room. She took some personal and medical information. She rudely asked me of why I didn't do certain things and take certain supplements and questioned my own judgement, which I told her flatly that it's none of her concern. I paid to see a doctor, not a nurse. I'm told to get undressed and that the dermatologist would exam me from head to toe even though my reason for coming into the office was for my scalp. I thought it was strange but I did comply. Two minutes later, I'm completely naked with a paper robe on and waited for 30 minutes until the doctor and the same nurse to enter. Yep, you read it right. 30 minutes, no apology for the wait and still no other patients I hear in the rooms nearby. Dr. Wininger exam in less than two minutes and was more fascinated with my old tattoo, which has nothing to do with my reasoned to visit a dermatology office. He told me to get dressed and will come back to discuss my scalp condition. One minute later, I'm dressed and waited for him for an additional 20 minutes. The first thing he mentioned when he re-entered the room, was about himself and his education experience at Rutgers University. (my current employer) I was so frustrated with Dr. Wininger as I'm not here to talk about Rutgers but my medical matter. I stopped him and asked about my diagnosis. He provided a reason and said that I should apply certain topical foam on my scalp. That is when I know this doctor is a quack! How can you provide treatments to a medical matter, when you don't know for sure what medical problem is it. The blood work must be done first to rule out anything. I'm not a doctor and even I know common sense here. Avoid this place!!!!

He scraped the nail a little bit for lab exam and told me for another visit. However, I was told during my 2nd visit that the sample was lost and he needed to do another scrape and another following visit for treatment. I was too nice without asking him reimburse my $40 copay for the extra useless 2nd visit. I then scheduled a 3rd visit for lab result and subsequent treatment. Prior to the 3rd visit, my son has an emergency for a small pustule in the hair right next to his ear. I took him to visit this Doctor as he was my dermatologist. The doctor said that he would perform a surgery to remove it. I thought a little penetration to release the pus would do it and questioned him for cutting off the whole skin that might leave a scar. His reply was that his responsibility was just to cure but leaving a scar or not. I did not stop him right then from proceeding and regretted to this day that I felt guilty about the overkilled cutting, which resulted in a visible scar on my son's head that could be avoided. With that unpleasant encounter, I then cancelled the return visits of me and my son's. To end this story, I subsequently visited another Doctor who just prescribed me with some pills for 10 days or so without scraping anything. It cured my nail issue completely with just one simple visit.

Very thorough…read more Quick, doesn't leave you waiting in the room, but also makes sure you are heard and doesn't BS. Lisa made me feel like crap. She is sweet but 3 visits and she did nothing but take pictures and send me for bloodwork (I had no insurance either and have been out of work bc of this issue) $1400 later, I brought it back and she didn't even look at it. She did not address my issues or even my symptoms and she did a lot of "Awwww" ing. Like i don't need or want sympathy! I need to be heard, seen, and treated. In 2 visits Jason did more than I got in months from Lisa. Last but definitely not least! And the reason I came to write this review, Corey the PA is top notch. He is sweet, kind, caring, hardworking, skilled, always a wonderful attitude! He makes the visits here so much better for me. I could not have better things to say about a human being! Thanks to everyone from this office who has helped me on this healing journey!
