I recently needed to get a floral arrangement for a funeral service. I reached out to Victor based on the recommendation from the funeral home. Initially I was hesitant as I was not sure I was calling the right number when I called. He spoke broken English and I speak broken Spanish. But after asking my buddy to speak with him in Spanish, it was much smoother. I cannot say enough good things about them, they made the process very easy, very responsive and reasonably priced, moderate fee for delivery. I called on a Wednesday and needed a very nice arrangement on Sunday delivered by 10am. They made a beautiful, large arrangement and it was there when we arrived for the service Sunday morning. Want to thank them and I would recommend them highly. The picture I have here is the arrangement, it was about 5 or 6 feet tall for an example of how large it was, looked amazing and thank you again. I went on Saturday to buy flower arrangements for my mother and aunt. (The next day is mother's day) I understand that due to the holiday the prices were marked up, and i was ok with paying $70 for a simple arrangements (no vase). I dove it home and the next day the roses were dead. The lady told me that it's my fault I didn't properly take care of them and I needed to cut them and re arrange them. Isn't the point of buying from a professional that you're buying and arrangements? I told her I wasn't a professional and I wouldn't know how to put the arrangements back together. Hector was very helpful and has great customer skills. 3 stars: I was supposed to pick up my order at 10am, I even called to let them know I was heading out since I live 40min away. This is BY FAR THE WORST flower shop I've EVER bought from. I've been a loyal customer for YEARS. I buy flowers and arrangements here for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, my fiancée birthday and our anniversary and again in December for the Virgen on the 12th. That is 5 times/ year. For my anniversary I usually have the flowers delivered to her job. Well twice they had said a certain time and were over two hours late. I called and they said they were running late. NO APOLOGIES OR ANYTHING OF THAT SORT. One of the those days. They delivered the flowers once my fiancée was already out from her job. I figured I've been going there for the last 7 years. So I gave them another opportunity after my two bad experiences. So this last time I went in and purchase an arrangement and asked if they can deliver. the lady there said yes. I asked her for a specific time and she told me they were unable to do then and gave me the time they had available I said fine I would take that time. But the arrangement that was out there had flowers that were already dying. I asked the woman several times if she can make sure the flowers I'm buying don't look like this and that they are fresh flowers. She assured me several times that she was going to make the arrangement fresh and they would not look like that. At the time they had given me they still had an arrived with my delivery. It was about an hour and a half after the time they had given me and still no flowers. I called the number and the owner Victor answered the phone and he said he would call his staff to see where the flowers are at. He then called me back and said they would be there in about 30 minutes I expressed my frustration to him because they had promised a certain time and they did not deliver at that time. I let him know that that was a big a irresponsibility on their behalf. He then got upset cursed me out and said he wasn't going to deliver anything after and told me if I wanted my money back I can go to the store and pick it up otherwise I was screwed out of my money. I did not want to start any problems since I obviously put down my home address on the order forms and he has my credit card information and everything so I just told him to go ahead and deliver please and forget I even called him. They went ahead and delivered the flowers. Once I saw the flowers I was even more angry. Most of the flowers looked dead. And TWO DAYS LATER the flowers were completely DEAD. I spent $80 on flowers that were dying when delivered and completely TRASH on the second day. I've read other reviews here and everyone seems to complain about this man Victor. PLEASE PEOPLE DONT BUY HERE!!!!!!!! HE STEALS YOUR MONEY AND GIVES YOU TRASH. HES RUDE, ARROGANT AND EXTREMELY IRRESPONSIBLE. THIS PLACE HAS ZEROOO STARS FROM ME. Update: Given the great circumstances i attempted to order valentines flowers via Victor where he knew my relationship by now and naturally i wanted to support his business. Upon placing the order he quoted me $3 a mile for delivery, 21 miles, total delivery $100! I questioned his math and would've likely paid the $63 delivery just to keep up with appearences cause this is really my wife's connection. Then he admits due to the busy day he will likely have he had to charge a premium. I think it's wrong to gouge your customers due to holidays. If you have a delivery fee, and you claim it to be $3 that's what it should be at all times. read more

Overcharged a lot for a flower bouquet. They claimed a dozen of roses was $25 each so we ordered 3. Time comes to pick up the bouquet we were charged $120 for just a regular 3 dozen bouquet with some added regular white flowers (not sure what they're called). I was upset at how it looked considering bigger arrangements were much cheaper and nicer yet 3 dozen roses wrapped in black paper and tied with balloon string was $120. I tried to voice my concerns but was met with unprofessional attitudes and was ignored until I called over a manager. We hired these people to do the flower arrangements for my dad's funeral last month. The arrangements were cheaply made. Low quality flowers and the arrangements looked rushed. This is a few months late, but about a month or two before my wedding this past November wedding my sister in law brought me Downtown to find a place who could do the bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres for my wedding party. We looked at various spots before finding this shop. I had brought pictures of what I wanted and they didn't try to give us the run around on pricing and try to get us to settle for other arrangements like nearby spots. They were pretty easy to work with, were able to put together what I wanted, and pricing was actually very reasonable. My sister in law ended up picking up the flowers for us on the day of the wedding so we wouldn't have to worry about delivery, and overall we were very happy with our flowers. They just kept telling me to return it but I had no choice but to buy it since I was leaving out of state that same day and I knew no one would make a handheld bouquet within the next hour. I placed an order for a funeral I asked for sunflowers he didn't use what I asked him to use when I called to talk to him he flat out told I ran out of sunflowers and used yellow fillers. I told him he should of called me and gave us that option not take it upon himself and did whatever he wanted he told me well what do you want me to do. I asked him some kind of compensation would be nice he said no no no we don't do that here we for don't give money back. We first used alexanders flowers for my sons wedding. They delivered them on time as promised. The arrangements and brides bouquet were spectacular and we received many compliments from the guests. Since we had such a positive experience, we decided to have Alexanders make the arrangements for our formal 30th wedding anniversary. Once again, they came through. Delivery was ahead of schedule and set up prior to our arrival. The centerpieces were fresh and delivered a fragrance throughout the room. Guests from another wedding came into our party and asked who the florist was that did the arrangements. I ordered flowers for a funeral service a week in advance. Victor assured me flowers would be delivered . When I went to the viewing for my grandmother there was NO flowers . I immediately called Victor and he stated they closed down for 3 weeks due to the Coronavirus !! My question to him was why didn't he call me so I could make other arrangements and all I got was a sorry. I completely understand them closing down due to the virus BUT CALL YOUR CUSTOMERS especially if they paid for a service. This review is based on one of their drivers. This happened today in the city of Downey. Both the driver (male, might have been Hispanic wearing a baseball hat) and I were traveling eastbound on Stewart and Gray Road and woodruff Ave. I was on the left lane and he was on right lane. A truck with hazard lights was stopped ahead in the right lane and this driver rather than stopping until it was safe to change lanes, decides to cut me off. It's kinda hard not to get bothered by this so I obviously honked my horn. Long story short. He didn't like getting called out and made some gestures that were not very professional at all. I hope someone acknowledges this review and most importantly trains their personnel on how to better share the road with others. After reading Gabriel's review, I was hesitant to keep my order with Victor at Alexander Flowers, however, I reached down to my instincts and decided to give him a try. I felt he absolutely cared about costumer service as he listened to what I was asking for and did everything he could to give me what I wanted. He communicated with me during the week leading up to my delivery and even sent pictures of the process. He was always professional and his wife did a beautiful job with the arrangement.
