Christine and Abbey run this school like all of the children are their own. They are warm, inviting, caring and thoughtful. My daughter is 4 and in the pre-school program and the activities she participates in are endless - art class, karate, woodworking, cooking etc. The teachers are top notch and really put a lot of effort into each and every day. My other daughter is in the nursery program and the teachers in that classroom are unmatched. The teachers go above and beyond for the babies as well as the parents in sending home adorable crafts and activities that your child will do during the day. My daughter is always clean (which is a hard feat to accomplish for a 1 year old) and I truly feel like I'm dropping her off with someone in my family every morning. The teachers put up pictures daily on the internal website so you really feel as if you have a good grasp on what your child/children are doing everyday and as a working mom, that means so much to me. There is a wonderful outside playground that the kids love to play on and pickups/dropoffs are seamless and easy without rigid rules that don't work for working parents. The school itself is new and clean which was a huge plus for me. I compared a bunch of different schools in the area prior to our move and I know I made the right decision for my girls.

There is a lot of drama at this school between teachers and other staff members. Unfortunately,…read morethis has contributed to fairly substantial teacher turnover, which is not good for the kids. Many parents have ended up pulling their children out of the school. I've lost count of how many school presidents have come and gone. The school has also cut back on meals and snacks to save money. Not too long ago, the school was open on most holidays. Now, almost every holiday is a day off, which means parents have to make arrangements to watch their children. The current president, Sonia, does not seem to be very familiar with the school's policies and practices. Half the time, she doesn't seem to know what she is talking about, which can be very frustrating for parents. Based on the school's track record, however, there will probably be another president sooner rather than later. On the positive side, there are a few teachers and teacher assistants who are truly some of the best people I have ever met. They put their heart and soul into caring for each child, and I honestly believe that is one of the main reasons some families continue to stay at the school.

The staff is wonderful and it is run by the most caring, supportive and dedicated family. My boys are always so happy to go to school in the morning and have truly blossomed as the year has gone on. The facility was newly remodeled this year, and it is very clean and bright which facilitates such great energy in the school! They provide Organic hot lunch and snack, and our boys really love it! They have even started wanting to eat more healthy options at home! When that time came I begun searching for the right Montessori school. I was willing to travel more if I have to, just wanted to find a good one. I visited every Montessori school in 10 miles radius from my home and I can't be more happier with The Grove Montessori School. I'm writing this review with tears in my eyes, I can't believe my little baby grew up and time past so fast-he graduated kindergarten and now he is continuing his educational journey. We are missing The Grove Montessori so much!! The school is amazing, the teachers are awesome, every single thing in the school environment is touching you in a peaceful and a calm way. My son enjoyed every single day spend there. When I had to chose his elementary school I walked around many public and private schools, and there is nothing to compare to The Grove Montessori environment. I feel so fortunate, that I found The Grove Montessori, my son received a wonderful training. The owners of the school carefully choose their stuff and everyone is very knowledgeable, dedicated, passionate, giving the best possible care for the little ones. The kids get prepared really well. My son became very social and independent, he is completely ready for first grade, he can read, he knows so many things and when he got tested at his new school they told me that his math level is for second grader. For which I'm giving all the credit to the great program at The Grove Montessori and especially to the great teachers, who were preparing him with love and patience every single day. I really appreciate their hard work and admire their dedication. If you are on a search for quality educational daycare this is the right one!!!

Being so young and a sensitive kid in nature, we definitely are a bit nervous about his experience at school. We toured several schools around the area before deciding CLP, since it immediately feels right to Reid and us. It feels a more homy environment with very close interactions between principle, teachers and kids. Ms. Rai and Ms. Anna are so caring and compassionate about their works. Compared to a bigger facility, I feel Ms.Rai and Ms. Anna knows Reid's character and support his very personal emotional needs. And I want to address one of the comments down below about Mr.Rai as administrator does not provide enough interaction with parents about children's daily activities. That is so NOT the experience for us. Actually quite opposite. Yes, CLP does not have a online reporting system like many other daycares. However, every time I need to talk to either with teacher or administrator about how Reid is doing, with regarding to eating, napping, emotions, activities, I wan responded and explained immediately. I was invited to watch how he is actually doing in the daycare. We also had difficult times that we need to do adjustments for Reid's schedule, and Ms. Rai was always very patient and accommodating to our requests. So, I love the experience there and will send my second child to this daycare.

The teachers love our kids and we have been amazed at the skills our kids have acquired. As an early childhood educator myself, I struggled with the idea of putting my children in a childcare center, but Riverwoods Montessori is far beyond what you find anywhere else! I have looked at many different options for our kids, and nothing has come close to the experience we have had there. This Fall, our third child will begin his infant program at Riverwoods and it is the only place I can imagine trusting with my baby! We highly recommend their programs!

In our particular case at the Riverwoods, IL location, with only one parent teacher conference months before stressing a few correctable problems, were the director's tone was very optimistic, it was a surprise to later hear that our child is no longer welcomed. When we were told of the expulsion, the director's response, which felt more like a lecture, was very cold. We were given 7 business days, that also happened to be during a major holiday week were schools are closed and providers are unavailable/limited, to find a new care provider. The director's handling of our situation was irresponsible and disrespectful. Perhaps, if she would have suggested and worked with us to create and document a mutual plan, provide progress reports and establish a clear channel for communication, we would have had a different outcome, (or at least a better understanding and respect for how they acted.) Happily, we found wonderful care for our child who is thriving and well adjusted. I would never recommend this provider and ask other parents to reconsider placing their child under the supervision of this director.

They clearly love each child, and know them very, very well. I also appreciate Busy Bees' willingness to communicate and partner with parents.
