In particular, my son needed some medical assistance in the infant room and all the teachers were very responsive, taking special care with him and following instructions that I gave them, while keeping me in the loop. The primary room is also great, the class is diverse and the kids are always busy with many activities. This school is fantastic if you are looking for more of a home day care feel, all of the teachers are friendly and wonderful with the kids.

My daughter has been attending this center since she was an infant and will soon move up to the two-year-old classroom. I admit I previously felt uneasy regarding the teachers in that specific classroom; however, since the individual who sent out that message has been fired along with another employee, I feel much more comfortable and confident about my daughter moving up. I want to encourage other parents to see the center for themselves. This facility is much more than what a bitter person who was fired for their own actions has to say about it. False accusations are not the way to handle these situations.

We were at this center for nearly five years with two kids. We probably stayed too long, mainly…read morebecause a few teachers genuinely loved our children and made it worth it. But over time, things just kept getting worse. I highly recommend you do not trust this center with your children. We experienced bottles and naps being skipped in the baby room, three-year-olds told they couldn't play outside because they couldn't zip their own jackets, and constant leadership changes. They have had at least four directors in 5 years, and no director at all for the last year. At one point, we raised concerns about our baby not being fed, and the regional director told us we should maybe find another center. We should have listened. The assistant director left in charge the last year has allowed things that really shouldn't happen in a daycare. She brought bleach into classrooms (so strong the smell burned your eyes and stained kids clothes), changed the menu to suit her own kids (cereal and crackers EVERY DAY, let teachers take the daycare bus for coffee, and had her husband and older children hanging around the office all day during the summer. One day she left and put the cook and a teacher who had multiple complaints against her in charge of the entire center. The final straw came when we learned a weed vape had been found under a toddler's cot a few months ago. The teacher responsible is still working there and was even moved to the infant room. She made comments about not wanting to work with kids and joked about hitting one. When parents raised concerns, regional director Phebe either gaslight them, dismissed them, minimized them, or lied. Meanwhile, two teachers who repeatedly spoke up about these issues, making sure everyone in Kindercare leadership knew, even above the regional director, were recently fired. While the girl who brought drug paraphernalia and threatened to hit a 2 year old still employed working with infants none the less. Their dismissal looks like a clear case of retaliation if I ever saw one (in my many years in HR....) There are other serious concerns too: kids were apparently checked in who weren't actually at the center who get government assistance, and with all of this mismanagement, it wouldn't surprise me if the center comes under investigation soon. We recently moved our kids to a center down the street. The difference is amazing. There's a real curriculum, staff actually engage with the children, meals aren't just crackers, and the kids come home happy, not stressed and anxious. Leaving was hard because of the teachers our kids loved, but it was absolutely the right choice. I only regret not doing it sooner. I would not recommend this center. I would recommend you take your children ANYWHERE ELSE. There are serious safety issues, leadership failures, and disregard for the children's safety and well-being, and the regional director is an absolute joke. There is no trust and no hope for change.

In fact I get a completely different review of my son from his other school teachers than at this school. This school seems very limited - a one trick pony & incapable of addressing special needs. The school is inflexible with credit toward vacation time and just wants your money and are indifferent to our son's needs.

I know my daughters are safe, loved and enriched. The teachers are really wonderful! My daughters love going each day and absolutely love their teachers. I have a kindergartener who spends half her day at MPCC and half at Westbrook. The daycare gets her on the bus, and provides enrichment for when she's not attending grade school. The director, Mr. Michael, loves his work and my kids adore him too. We looked at many options for daycare before deciding on MPCC and I'd highly recommend this daycare. Once it was time to enroll her somewhere, I kept taking issue with aspects of other day care centers and in-home places. My neighbor has lived in this community for over 25 years so I asked her for help. She suggested MPCCC and added, "they are not new, but they are great." She was totally right, they're great. The building itself isn't new or shiny like a modern one, but it's clean, there is TONS to do, and the staff is caring and nurturing. I believe all of the staff are either attending school for their childhood education degrees or they have a degree already. There are senior staff there who have been in this business for decades. They do tons of inventive activities with the toddlers for sensory play, music and dance, group circle games, and crafts crafts crafts. The outdoor play space may not look like much but it's enough to keep even the older kids excited and busy. The teachers have a large treasure trove of art supplies somewhere and they do endless projects relating to holidays, seasons, cultures, etc. There was a holiday concert where each class sang a few songs with the help of a music instructor. Fire department guests have visited, as well as the Northwestern University football team. My daughter loves her teachers and looks forward to being dropped off each day -- it has become her second home. I look forward to her starting preschool here next year and enrolling my infant son.

My son attended there for two months at the end of 2020 in the toddler room. The teachers and directors are absolutely amazing. They have an app to get constant updates and photos/videos and they all have been very accommodating to certain needs I had in order to support the work being done with my son's speech therapist and nutritionist. They also take Covid-19 very seriously. They don't allow anyone but the children inside the building(pickup/drop off is done on the porch), teachers and students over two always wears masks(and parents have to wear masks at pickup/drop off), they take the temp of the children and parents at drop off, and every day when I would pick up my son I could see teachers/aids through the window in the door cleaning/sanitizing toys. Also, the few times they did have a potential threat they closed the school for a week, longer in the rooms where the threat occurred, and had professional sanitizing done in the entire facility. Yes, it was a pain to go without childcare for a week or two but we didn't have to pay for that time and I personally think it is worth it for the safety of my family. However, in December my son was suddenly diagnosed with a cancerous tumor. In fact, it was the detailed reports from Kindercare about my son's urine output and behavior change that helped us determine something was wrong and led to the discovery that he has a tumor in his bladder. Being non-verbal at almost two we may not have discovered it as soon without their thorough attentiveness and feedback. Needless to say this was a very emotional and stressful time for our family and the angel of a director started a meal train, as well as working with the staff and families to put together a giant gift basket of toys and snacks for my son. The outpouring of support from the staff and the other families(who didn't even know us) has been absolutely overwhelming, in the best way possible. Just writing this brings tears to my eyes. We had only been with them for a few months, but we were already a part of the family. They held our spot, at no charge, and now that we have a grasp on handling his cancer treatments, we will be returning later this month. They are letting him return to the toddler room, even though he has since turned 2, because it's familiar and he's a bit out of sorts right now from everything he's going through. They will wait to move him to the 2 year old room until he gets comfortable being back. In the short time my son was there last year his language and social development increased DRAMATICALLY. He's still non-verbal, but before we had to take a leave of absence he was so close to talking I could taste it!!!! I can't wait to get him back there as soon as possible. To say they are amazing is an understatement!

He loves the staff and is always smiling when we pick him up. The daycare workers are very friendly and engaging and he seems to love them. The hours are of operation are great (open to 6:30 instead of 6) and the rooms are very clean compared to other places we toured. They are also very flexible in scheduling, we have consistent days but can add an extra if needed. If you are looking for daycare I would definitely recommend going here!

Our daughter has absolutely thrived since starting as a 2-year-old-- her language, imaginative play, and sense of responsibility have grown so much-- and Lunch Bunch classes give her an opportunity to experience other fun classes- like Yoga-- and spend a bit more time at school every day. She's made so many friends and we've had a ton of opportunities to meet socially with families and parents, as well. We're excited for our son to start in the young 2's class next year, and our daughter to move into Pre-K! Cannot recommend NCNS enough!
