Kids learn social skills and education is great. My son enjoys going to Busy Bees and he has been thriving for the last two years.

We've had our kids here since they were 1.5 years old and they've loved it. The teachers are warm and compassionate. Would recommend!

My kids are now 17 and 20, so I have no recent experience, but cannot imagine much has changed since we spent four years under their care. From the administrator Cindy to each and every teacher (especially Peggy and someone else whose name escapes me at the moment), it was a place chock full of learning and love. And somehow this flowed down by creating a very strong bond shared between the other families and Moms and Dads which did not diminish with time. Thanks again to everyone on staff for creating a nurturing, warm, highly competent educational experience for my children.

Their attention and care for children is second go none. The lessons are theme based each week and when my daughter comes home she cannot wait to talk about (ie: weather, eating healthy, writing...) whatever the lesson is. St. Marks has very accommodating hours (630am-6pm) and flexible scheduling options. I believe that this is a school/daycare that is truly 100% invested in the children and not just here to run a business. The school also provides a variety of heathy meals. There is also a large gym for the kids on gym days (I haven't found many other schools with this). A++++

I know my daughters are safe, loved and enriched. The teachers are really wonderful! My daughters love going each day and absolutely love their teachers. I have a kindergartener who spends half her day at MPCC and half at Westbrook. The daycare gets her on the bus, and provides enrichment for when she's not attending grade school. The director, Mr. Michael, loves his work and my kids adore him too. We looked at many options for daycare before deciding on MPCC and I'd highly recommend this daycare. We're so happy we found this gem!

Once it was time to enroll her somewhere, I kept taking issue with aspects of other day care centers and in-home places. My neighbor has lived in this community for over 25 years so I asked her for help. She suggested MPCCC and added, "they are not new, but they are great." She was totally right, they're great. The building itself isn't new or shiny like a modern one, but it's clean, there is TONS to do, and the staff is caring and nurturing. I believe all of the staff are either attending school for their childhood education degrees or they have a degree already. There are senior staff there who have been in this business for decades. They do tons of inventive activities with the toddlers for sensory play, music and dance, group circle games, and crafts crafts crafts. The outdoor play space may not look like much but it's enough to keep even the older kids excited and busy. The teachers have a large treasure trove of art supplies somewhere and they do endless projects relating to holidays, seasons, cultures, etc. There was a holiday concert where each class sang a few songs with the help of a music instructor. Fire department guests have visited, as well as the Northwestern University football team. My daughter loves her teachers and looks forward to being dropped off each day -- it has become her second home. I look forward to her starting preschool here next year and enrolling my infant son.

Apparently my 4 year old child fell at playground in the morning, broke both main bones on her arm, one was sticking out I saw immediately when I picked her up in the evening. No one called me nor did anything after she fell. They ignored and pretended that never happened. She could have been killed or seriously injured because of their neglect! Teachers did not notify me, instead they sent her to a room to sleep it off. She slept all afternoon, no one notified me of this unusual sleep pattern either, when she woke up 3 hours later, she sat on the floor holding her arm all afternoon, no one bothered to look, ask or cared to call me about it. I came to pick her up after work at 5 pm as usual, found her sitting in the corner of the floor, by her self, holding her broken arm all day. As soon as I looked at her arm I saw the broken bone poking out almost 1 inch, took her to manager office, manager/owner denied knowing nothing about, then I took her to ER. She had a cast for 45 days, both main bones broken. Do not risk your child's life leaving to these careless peoples hands. Unprofessionalism is top notch, safety and caring for your child is zero.

He has been there for 2 years now and absolutely loves going to school every day! Ms. Kelly has instilled a love for learning in him and encourages his curiosities by always helping him explore his questions. She has taught him many developmental milestones all while teaching him to be kind. My son truly loves and respects Ms. Kelly as his teacher and I couldn't be happier that he has such a positive role model in his life. Not only is Ms. Kelly a phenomenal teacher, but she is also a caring and loving person. My 7 month old son has been coming to Safari since he was 8 weeks old. Because of the quality of care my older son received, I was not worried at all about my transition back to work even though my son was so young. Ms. Mary, Ms. Claudette, and Ms. Nancy have exceeded my expectations in the infant classroom. My son enters his classroom every morning with a smile. The love and care they show my son while also providing activities that promote his growth and development are top notch. The teachers in this classroom truly know and understand children of this age and are wonderful at what they do. Ms. Julie, the director, has done a great job communicating with us and establishing a positive environment for the children and families that enter the facility every day. We absolutely love all of the planned social activities (holiday gatherings, muffins with mom for Mother's Day and doughnuts with dad for Father's Day, and graduation just to name a few). These activities take a lot of planning and allow for families to get to know the teachers and one another better. I feel extremely fortunate to have found such an amazing team of teachers to work with my children. They are well taken care of and learning so many new things each and every day! Thank you so much to all the hard working and dedicated teachers here at Safari!

Long story short, I wanted my son to start preschool tomorrow (his 3rd birthday), but it appears that the Post Office has misplaced the registration paperwork that I mailed in last Friday (at least, I will give the ELC the benefit of the doubt that this is the Post Office's screw-up and not theirs). Okay, what can I do to get him starting classes ASAP, I asked? "You need to come in and pick up the paperwork and fill it out." Can't you just scan the paperwork to me so I can fill it out and have someone drop it off, I asked? I am a single mom and I work during their business hours. My older child is disabled and about to have surgery and I am saving my paid time off for that. That is the whole reason that I mailed it in the first time instead of dropping it off myself. "No, you need to come in and pick up the paperwork, because we need originals." What on earth does them needing originals have to do with me getting the paperwork in the first place?? (Also, I registered my daughter at another CCSD59 school by scanning in the registration paperwork, so I really don't see why the ELC "needs originals"; I already brought in my son's birth certificate in person.) Here's the kicker: I begin poking around the CCSD59 Web site and what do I find there? The registration paperwork in PDF form. There should have been no problem with scanning it to me.
