a plate of food and a bottle of beer
    Nat S.

We were moving back to New England, and needed to eat food I found this local gem on Yelp tucked away from the interstate. Great family run comfort food restaurant. The staff are cheerful, and make you feel like you are part of the community. We had a couple of bottled beers, and chicken fingers, and a chicken sandwich. Did I mention fried chicken is a specialty here. I think the fingers came with a side, and we had a nice salad. I think I remember the daily special being tacos. Not sure how vegetarian friendly the place is, but you are in the middle of America. I think they may have some seafood, but you may want to call, and check first. They have outdoor patio seating, and tents. It also seemed they do as much take away as they do dine in. The locals eat here. They also take credit cards. You probably wouldn't find this place unless you set your GPS, or map it out.

    Ribs and sides!

Great food and drinks. Old school nice. I'd like to see the booths come back in the dining room.

Just wasn't good. I had heard a lot of hype but didn't live up in our take out order. Does not observe Covid protocols.

It's crowded and smallish, but friendly and cozy. The fried chicken is outstanding. The au gratin potatoes can't be beat.

We had dinner one time while there - and the food was very good (particularly the fried chicken!) and very inexpensive for what you get.

You see, my husband has been confined to a nursing home with dementia. Tonight was our anniversary and for many years, we've celebrated at Prime Quarter. As I sat there, crying while looking at pictures, Jessie and what was wrong and listened. I told her about my husband, my anniversary and that I will never get to spend another one at their steakhouse with him She constantly checked on me, always asking if I was ok and did I need anything. When I went to pay my my dinner, she said that it was paid for and brought me a piece of cheesecake to bring home. Then she hugged me, told me that everything will work out and that she would pray for me and my husband. This simple act of kindness brought even more tears. The food is always amazing and the service is impeccable, but tonight, Jessie went above and beyond to comfort me. Thank God for people like Jessie, who in a simple act of kindness, can help a person when they are in despair. Thank you Jessie. Clean small town bar and restaurant. Very friendly staff and great food. My Philly was tasty and was super impressed with the size of mom's fish sandwich. Better value than other similar places. But I went just the same. This is decor wise, a simple bar. Tables are available, and a separate room is to what I think was the south (left side as you enter). There were slot machines along the wall and the the room to the south. The mens room was nice and clean, and had good water pressure. No bad smells! I ordered lunch. After asking what was good - the menu was pretty extensive and had a bunch of options, I kept remembering the chicken reviews, so I went with the chicken fingers and fries. The Root Beer soft drink server was down for maintenance, so I ended up with a lemonade. The chicken fingers didn't disappoint. They were served fresh from the fryer, and somehow held the heat quite well - better than the usual fast food fare. I agree, the breading was out of this world in terms of lightness - it was very good, and the chicken tasted fresh and good. I found the fries to be good as well. The Cole slaw could have used something more - it was a bit on the bland side. Give yourself some time, take the drive, and try the place out. The server was quite pleasant. Keep in mind, there is a 3% upcharge if you use a credit card, which isn't unusual.
