She is not an endometriosis specialist. She does not specialize in anything other than basic gynecology (pap smears) Do not go to her for endometriosis or anything related. She preformed excision surgery on me and when I was still in pain she told me to get pregnant. She told me that multiple times completely disregarding the fact that I have already been pregnant and had a baby yet it didn't fix my endometriosis. Since then I have had to have 3 other surgeries for my endo. She is does not listen because she thinks she knows everything. She is absolutely clueless when it comes to endometriosis, it is way above her education and pay grade. read more

Please Do NOT go to Dr. Alexandra Kidd she is completely unprofessional and should not be practicing anymore. The PA and Nurses at Gynecology Today are awesome! But when it comes to Dr. Kidd you should stay away. My first time seeing Dr Kidd was for a surgery consultation after having seen the nurses several times having various blood tests and images they ordered. The surgery consultation with Kidd went like this. She walks in says hello, sits down with her laptop and seems like she is just now looking over my chart, images, tests, etc even though I had this appt scheduled for several weeks. She didn't take anytime to review all my issues which is complex. Then she gets a phone call on her cell and tells me she is on call (excuse me for what, I don't believe you deliver babies anymore). Proceeds to take that call and hands me pieces of paper that has information regarding a hysterectomy. She comes back in after 5 mins and spent a couple mins barely going over anything with me and says okay let's get some labs while you're here and walks out of the room and that was it... I had a biopsy couple weeks later with Dr Kidd. My appt was the first appt of the day. I showed up on time, was placed in a room and sat in the room half undressed starring at the procedure instruments for 40 mins! A nurse came in about 25 mins into me waiting and told me she is running late and said she is not even in the building yet! When she gets there I can hear she is rushed and comes in the room and says Hi, okay let's get your feet up and immediately just goes at it. No warning or anything like you're gonna feel a pinch (I have never had a biopsy or IUD) so I had no idea what was coming. I screamed! and she immediately stops the procedure and comes up to my face and says she's not sure if she can continue if I'm going to be screaming!! I said, I had no warning and then she proceeded to talk like a baby to me. I told her I'm a grown adult and don't talk to me like I'm a child. I said you your clearly already have something clammed can you please just finish. She finished after a couple mins and I was left shaking on and crying on the table. After I was home and resting and told my husband what took place he is wondering if she was possibly not sober and/or should not be practicing anymore. It's been 3 weeks and I not received a call regarding the biopsy results. Just a call this morning wanting to set up a surgery date! Are you kidding me? Needless to say I have found a new gynecologist and provided her with all my tests results. I told her about my experience with Dr Kidd and she wad not surprised and that her office tends to see patients coming from Kidd. read more

I think Dr. Kidd is one of the best In her field. I always feel exceptionally well cared for by her and her P.A. Her back office assistants are sweet and helpful. The front desk, with the exception of Myrna, is a different story.. no one follows thru or gets back to you. It's happened more than once. I have been trying to have a prescription refilled for 2 weeks. My pharmacy has contacted them twice and I have called 3 times. I am completely exasperated at this point. I managed a 3 office medical practice some years back and one of the biggest lessons I would teach was the front office was the 1st and last impression a patient would have of an office....no matter how excellent the doctor was. Horrible! She does not care about her patients, did a grotesque job on my surgery and almost no follow up. I ended up back in the hospital due to a "botched" job. I just called the office and Myrna was extremely rude to me and even though I have a follow-up appointment scheduled, would not allow me to speak with the doctor. Dr. Kidd is honestly dangerous in my opinion and I will seek legal advice. Obviously, I will not return and will find a legitimate gynecologist to help me. Compassionate, competent and talented. A great doctor if you need laparoscopic hysterectomy. Surgery went super well, healing going great. Dr Kidd is amazing. It took her 5 minutes to correctly diagnose a female issue that had stumped multiple doctors over 10 years, and fortunately it was a relatively easy fix. Bedside manner is great- just the right mix of caring and humor. She was also available by phone after the procedure when I had follow up questions. Office staff was efficient and friendly and did what I needed. The only real downfall is driving from where we live in Glendale out to her office in Scottsdale, but she's worth the drive. If I could give a zero, I would! The office check in person was sooo rude, the office staff was arguing, the check in was on a kiosk that you touched...very unsafe with Covid. Also, no one was wearing their mask properly over their nose. There were magazines all out that others could have touched. Very unsanitary. I saw Dr. Kidd back in August and this was my first OBGYN appointment and I saw her for a well woman exam. She came into the room with a great attitude and greeted me with a smile and a hand shake. She is fast and efficient, which is exactly what I was looking for in a OBGYN. She listens and takes care of your issues. I will definitely be going back if I am in need of a OB again! Only downfall is I had to wait for a while (around 45min to an hour to be called back) which I was ok with, I know things come up with other patients sometimes. I would rather be waiting in the waiting room than in the exam room in the nude.... haha! Overall- Great experience. Go see her!! read more

I cannot speak to the quality of Dr. Kidd herself because unfortunately I could not bring myself to go to her office after multiple negative experiences with Rita, a member of her office staff. I was referred to her office by my primary gyno to be scoped to check for endometriosis. When I called to schedule my appointment I spoke to Rita and told her that I was referred for a scope to check for endometriosis. She proceeded to ask me questions about different procedures using medical terminology that I don't understand as a layperson. I told her I am not a doctor and did not understand her questions and restated that I was refers for a scope to check for endometriosis. She said that she would need to get the notes from my primary's office before she could confirm which procedure I needed but put me on the books for a specific appointment time. It took two more phone conversations in which she always sounded too busy to be bothered with me to confirm that I was scheduled for an endometrial biopsy. Since I am not a dr I did not know that this does not involve a scope...so I googled the procedure and what I read sounded nothing like anything my primary had discussed with me at all. Honestly, I almost called my primary after the first two conversations with Rita to request a different referral...now I wish I had! After reading about the biopsy procedure I called my primary's office and spoke to a member of her office staff who pulled up the notes they sent over and read that it stated very clearly that I was being referred for a scope. She also informed me that the biopsy is not even something that they would refer me out for because they do them in their own office. She called Dr. Kidd's office for me and when she called me back let me know that they had changed my appointment to a consult. I called Dr Kidd's office myself to find out why I had to have a consult if I was referred by a dr that I had already consulted with. Rita explained that this is required since Dr Kidd has never seen me before. I was trying to explain that these appointments are not easy or convenient for me and to inquire as to whether an exception could be made. As with our previous three conversations Rita was in no way interested in hearing anything I needed to say. I asked her to let me speak but she refused because apparently she already knew everything I was going to say. I tried to point out to her that she was constantly interrupting and talking over me. I finally got her to be quiet long enough for me to bring to her attention the first time we spoke when she refused to listen to me resulting in her scheduling me for the wrong procedure. Of course, she didn't want to hear it so she said she would let me speak to her manager but not until she gave her HER side of the story first. Her manager came to the phone and immediately assumed that she knew what I was going to say based on what Rita had told her so she jumped right in with, "to answer your question" at which time I stopped her and let her know that the conversation was not going to go that way and that she should not be assuming to know what I wanted to say or talk about. Her response was that she already knew what my question was and could just answer it. I told her I did not have a question and expressed some frustration to which she told me I needed to calm down. I told her that I was calm and that she should not be assuming to know what I was going to say. So, finally, I was allowed to speak. I recounted the four conversations I had with Rita. She apologized and then continued to "answer my question" letting me know that the dr requires a consult with all new patients before performing any procedures. So essentially she didn't really care about the way I had been treated and was just waiting to answer the question that I no longer had. I cancelled the appointment for the consult and will calling my primary for a new referral. I sincerely hope that Rita receives some coaching regarding communicating with patients. Although I doubt she will since her "manager" wasn't a whole lot better. read more

I have been going to Dr Kidd for 4 years prior to her move on her own. I moved away for a year & came back. Wanted to see her Dr Wilsons office was nice enough to give me her new info. I called the office & very nice on the phone. They verified they take my insurance. Made an appt. Appt wait was about 15-20 min. Dr Kidd was nice & very fast. I ran into problems after the visit. Her staff is HORRIBLE! I got a generic vm to retrieve my results on a web site address with nothing but numbers or call a phone line. I called the phone line but i needed a PIN# . VM never gave a PIN#. I called the office & dealt with the front desk girl. Advised what happened & she stated she would have someone call me back & hung up, didn't get my phone number or anything. I called back & she said; "Gurl... I gotchew". Then hung up. I never got a call back. The next 3 weeks consisted of me calling every 3 days requesting a call back. I ok'd them to leave the results on my VM. Plus, I got a full bill for the appointment. Called my insurance & they stated the office was not active with them till 10 days AFTER my appointment. So now I have a $200 bill. Week 4 I got a call back requesting a call back. I called again & they told me they will have someone call me back. I told the girl of me waiting, the back & forth. I got "mmmhmmm... we'll call you back" Click. I am livid with this office. Dr Kidd may be good, but not worth the bunch she has working for her. I am not returning. read more
