Appreciated they offer this option, though I know it is not 100% GF since the facility has gluten items, but it works for me. The Donair had a ton of saucet was just dripping off, and there was extra on the plate. It was really good. The garlic fries were so good but I got them with pizza sauce as I didn't want the sweet donaire sauce. Overall, it was good food. read more

Been there 3 or 4 times for breakfast and although nothing blows me away about the place, the food is decent (big enough portions), service friendly, and it's usually quiet if you go early, so good for reading the paper or just a peaceful sit. The breakfast burrito that I had today was good, I barely was able to finish, filled with egg, lots of sausage it seemed, but of pepper, maybe tomato & bacon? A favored pizza place in Downtown Sydney. They recently expanded and now have a dining room. Three of us went to breakfast to try it out. The food was very delicious. I had a egg omlette with feta and broccoli it came with hash browns. Also ordered was the pancakes and the Donair omlette. My sister raved about the Donair omlette which also came with hash browns. The service was a bit slow but that is to be expected just opening the dining room. Our waitress was very attentive. We had asked the other waitress for water which never did come. Price wise hands down a great buy. Plenty of food very reasonably-priced. Came back later that week with a large party for breakfast. I think we threw them for a loop. The waitress was not even there yet. I ordered the same thing. The omlette with feta and broccoli since it was enjoyed the first time. However this time the broccoli was omitted and no hash browns. Despite being disappointed. I enjoyed what I had.. I hope they get into the swing of things and the food is consistent as it wasn't from my first and second experience. read more

Fantastic food with gluten free options. Free delivery is a big bonus too! Prices are outstanding. Where else can you get a 3 piece fish n chips for 10 bucks??? In the same location as the old Island Greek Donair but so much better since they shut down and Alexandra's opened. read more

Alexandra's Pizza is the best! I ate there and tried out the "ghost pepper" challenge. Success! It was a great time, and I really appreciate small businesses that have cool little challenges, "local colour" etc. In a world of interchangeable franchises and bland faceless corporations-- it's totally refreshing that there are still places like Alexandra's. When we first moved to Sydney we swore buy this pizza, But the food has gone downhill fast, its either really good or really bad. Most of the time half the pizza is just a giant bubble with nothing on it. I dont no what has changed in the year we have been here but hopefully they get things worked out. read more

Once I had a good experience, ordered it twice after and I didnt like it. Had it when other people ordered and I couldnt eat it at all.

I tried their pizza once i had ordered a pepperoni pizza and when it arrived it hardly had any pizza sauce on it and there was hardly any pepperoni on it plus it wasn't fully cooked. So i called to complain was on hold while i was connected to different people about it then i was told i would receive a replacement pizza when the guy cane to the door he apologized then i gave him the defective pizza and he gave me the replacement pizza was not happy if they were really sorry they should have compensated us with a free bottle of pop with the replacement pizza for example. I don't care if the delivery is free i will never buy a pizza from there every again. read more

So I thought I would update my review as I tried to order again to see if maybe it was just the delivery driver skimming off the top for a $1.25 delivery charge. I ordered the exact same thing this time. No delivery charge HOWEVER when the delivery driver showed up he was on his phone. He never got off his phone for our whole interaction. He just talked to whoever else was on the phone and proceeded to point at stuff and hand me items. No hello. No thank you. No "is this your order?" . No verbal communication whatsoever. Now I don't know if the driver is a 3rd party or if he works for them directly BUT it should not be on myself as a consumer to even be asking those questions. This is 2 negative interactions in a row. Even after trying to give a second chance it seemed to fall flat. I'll proceed to another pizza place from now on. 2 stars because I got my food for the correct price no hidden fees. read more

Worst experience ever ordering from this place....ordered a med donair with a cup of sauce on the side. Was told it would be 40 min to an hour; waited 1.5 hrs called the restaurant again and it finally arrived 5 min after I called the second time. I received a cold small donair and no sauce. I have eaten here a few times now and I haven't had a great experience any of the times. Fish and Chips - Everything was very greasy and overcooked. I couldn't even eat the fries they were so bad. The Fish were burnt and hard, in fact I don't think I've ever had a dryer piece of fish before. Pizza - Wasn't anything special or something I think I would get again. The food is ok, at best. My issue is with the fact that when I picked up my pizza, all I could smell was cigarette smoke inside (disgusting), and weed outside when I walked back to my car. Drifting from the alleyway where people were just hanging out blazing. Here I thought, smoking in a restaurant wasn't allowed, and weed still wasn't technically legal. read more
