They also ship "maintenance meds" from a central warehouse which takes 4 business days which means if you don't call in your medications a week early it will likely be late. Most insurance companies won't even allow you to refill a 30 day medication a week early. Pretty much everything about the way this company does business is downright awful. Find any other pharmacy or use Walgreens in an absolute emergency if you must.

I simply called this afternoon at 5:00 to ask if they could get my medication, which was due to be refilled tomorrow, prepared so that I could pick it up going through the drive-thru tomorrow morning because my husband and I have several appointments tomorrow, and I'd like to pick it up on the way out of town. The pharmacist was incredibly rude to me and just kept saying, "I won't do that!" and "If I do it for one, I'd have to do it for everyone!" and "There's just not time!" I couldn't imagine what the big deal was--to refill one prescription before the next day when they had 4 hours before closing time! He just kept yelling at me, and truly, I thought I was talking to an inexperienced high school kid. I finally asked, "Is this the pharmacist"' and he replied, "Yes," to my shock. I just tried to explain that I wanted to pick up my medication the next morning on my way through Alexandria and that I already had one medication there waiting for me, but he kept yelling at me, "I don't care! I won't do it! You can call back tomorrow!" He kept making me feel like I was asking him to do something wrong--"I won't do it!" So, then I asked if it was because it's a refill on a controlled medication, and he absolutely would not give me an answer! I thought maybe he couldn't get that prepared early, but he wouldn't TELL me this! He just kept saying, "I won't do it, and I won't keep going around and around with you about this!" He was literally yelling at me, when all I wanted was for him to answer my question. My husband was looking at me with concern at this point, and I was shaking and on the verge of tears with confusion and anger. I didn't want to pick up the prescription early; I just wanted it ready for me the following morning. But this man treated me with such unkindness, impatience, and true unprofessionalism that, after the call, my husband was urging me to change pharmacies. But, not every experience is like this one. This particular extraordinary experience occurred around 5:00 on June 9, 2026. If I'm ever treated that badly there again, I will leave, even if another pharmacy is less convenient. When you become older, convenience becomes important, but not at the sacrifice of courtesy, graciousness, and good manners. I still value these qualities.

Monday I called, they couldn't find it. (They later did.) Tuesday I called and was told they didn't have the drug to fill it. I was also told to call the Doc because instructions were missing. I did. Wednesday I called, it was promised that evening or the next day by 3:00 PM, IF I confirmed in writing that I wanted it. I did. Thursday my husband called at 3, it wasn't ready. He drove there anyway and the Pharmacist claimed "computer problems." Too many days, too many excuses, compromising the health of customers.

I've been here many times over the past few years, and I am glad to say that I really like Walgreen's (and this particular location) as my pharmacy! I am able to drop my prescription off during convenient hours (later evening hours which is great for after work) and the staff has been nothing but nice to me every time I've gone in. I have received great service whether I go in the building or zip through the drive through window to drop off/pick up my prescriptions. I recently stopped in at the Take Care Clinic for a sudden sinus infection that began affecting me out of the blue one day. I had never gone to one before, but my boyfriend had suggested it so I was pleased to find this location had one available. I popped in and only had to wait around 10-15 minutes after signing in before I was seen! I'd been warned it might be a long wait, so getting such prompt service was great. They accept most health insurances, so that was a plus, and the nurse practitioner who saw me was very kind. She listened to my issues and took some time to be sure it was indeed a sinus infection and then handed me a prescription. The nice part is the pharmacy is right there, so you don't have to take additional time to get the prescription in if you have one. I was in and out in around an hour (getting my prescription included!) and when I left I was ready to battle the sinus infection. I was VERY pleased and would definitely return!

Now let me explain, I'm a 76 year old, white haired, Army veteran. I explained that I did not have my wallet but I did have photo of my driver's license on my iPhone. The clerk was emphatic that without my actual driver's license she would not sell me the wine, "corporate policy". I offered to show her both a photo of my driver's license AND my US passport. She refused both and again stated it's "corporate policy". Had not a lady behind me offered to use her driver's license I would not have been sold the wine. Where has common sense gone, if anyone saw me, they would say that "old dude", he's definitely over 21. I'll leave it like this, Walgreens just lost a future customer. I will not purchase anything in there stores in the future. To Walgreens, you can shove your stores and your "corporate policy" up where the sun doesn't shine !

We combed through the aisles and found the items we needed. After paying we quickly went on our way but got a Lyft back to the hotel. Again the guy let us stay in the store until Lyft picked us up.
