My first impression was "wine cave" (in a great way). We arrived just before they opened so we spent several minutes in the bright parking lot and it felt like stepping into a different world when we walked indoors. Arriving early on a weekday in March meant that we had the place to ourselves and got a quick tour of the different rooms. The charcuterie platter was delicious and we enjoyed our wine flight while chatting with the host (and briefly also a... winemaker?). We (especially my husband) don't drink much and he was driving so we just shared one flight. The tasting fee was $25 but it was waived with a $40 wine purchase. Bonus: It happened to be Wine Not Wednesday and the bottle we purchased was on sale. If we lived near-by I would happily visit again. read more

I wish we went here during normal times. They seemed super nice and the inside was really nice but our experience lacked spark. It might have been that we didn't get a ton of interaction. It seemed more happening on the member only side. We liked the wine and bought four bottles so definitely go! We truly enjoyed our visit to Alexandria Nicole Cellars. It does not look like much from the outside but once you enter, it is like entering into another place altogether. We were seated in big cozy leather chairs in one of their rooms that I would describe as edgy yet sexy. Our server treated us as if we were her top customers. We opted to both taste wines and worked our way down their extensive tasting menu. Since we had not had lunch we ordered their charcuterie board which was massive considering the price of only $20. Everything was first class and the various meats and cheeses went so well with our wine. As a bonus; Yelpers that check in receive a very nice wine opener. As with many of the Eastern Washington wineries, Alexandria Nicole waves your tasting fees with the purchase of a bottle of wine. That is a no brainer since their wines are delicious and priced good. We really enjoyed our visit to Alexandria Nicole Cellars and would recommend all give them a try if in the area. This is by far one of the easiest 5 stars for me to give a business. Found this place here on Yelp. Normally, we like to go to estate tasting rooms in order to get a feel for the a whole operation and perhaps enjoy a nice view. So we were a bit skeptical of the strip mall facade. These concerns were set aside as we stepped into a well-designed space much bigger than the exterior suggests. We were warmly greeted by Theron who gave us an excellent tasting, nice rosemary bread and information about the winery. We enjoyed almost all of the wines, especially the blends. If you find yourself in Prosser, give it a try. There are at least three more wineries in the immediate location, so you can definitely make a full afternoon of it. read more

How is it the saying goes, so many wineries, so little time? It's wonderful that my husband doesn't drink wine so he always drives while I drink which is the perfect solution I think. We were driving through going east and of course when in the area you must taste wine. Knowing that I couldn't drink my weight I needed to be selective so based on the Yelp comments this was one of the wineries that I chose. Since I was looking for a present for a friend who likes whites, I further limited my tasting to just those varieties. What a great tasting room! The server was pleasant and knowledgeable and they serve a great white wine. My favorite was the Shepards Mark which she also knew the story behind the name. No I'm not telling you have to go to the winery to find out. Since we live in the Tacoma area, she gave me the name of the wine distributors they use so I could get my wine guys to order some for me, as well as mentioning where they have a tasting room in Woodinville. This place was wonderful. Four of us had an expansive red and white tasting for over an hour near the fireplace. Wonderful wines, pleasant service on a Saturday afternoon and their bread and cheese plate was to die for. It included roasted marcona almonds that were tossed in olive oil and coated in truffle salt. Killer. We were granted access to the members area through our wine tour guide and it was lovely. Great winery, wonderful wines and a truly pleasant atmosphere. Definitely a place I'd like to return to on my next wine country visit. read more

The attitude, however, of another server/hostess (N) left much to be desired. From the moment we arrived until we were basically shown the door so our table could be turned, she was rude, even though several people bought wine. The wine was great but the staff was even better. My girlfriend and I know nothing about wine but wanted to do a tasting for Valentine's day, so we were lucky when we met Di. She was awesome; very pleasant, funny, and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the many different wines we tasted and the tips that Di had to fully enjoy them. We did not feel rushed at all and enjoyed the romantic atmosphere with the intimate lighting and private seating. This is one of my favorite wineries and if you're doing a wine road trip, this the BEST! They specialize in bold reds, I had a devasttingly delicious 2006 Sarah that came home with me in great quantites. The space is wonderful, club like and cozy. And if you're lucky, on a busy weekend they will have a local chef preparing food on the BBQ. TIP: If you love the wine, but don't want to drive 200 miles for Eastern Washington ambiance, they also have a shop in Wooodinville. read more

Alexandria Nicole is hands down my favorite winery. The wines are delicious and the people are awesome. Last time in, I got to taste the Destiny Reserve '06-- an amazing blend of Cab Sauv, Merlot, Cab Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. The time before that they had a delicious (crab? it was a while ago) pizza with the tasting. I ended up getting some Destiny Reserve shipped to me in Chicago by a family member--Tasting room staffer Kristine remembered our visit and included a card with a personal note to me and a free wine journal to track wine notes. read more

If you are big into red wine, you have GOT to come here! All of their red wines I thought were excellent! Their wines are definitely on the pricier scale, averaging about 25+ per bottle but man they were delicious. The staff their was super friendly and sassy which was refreshing. Definitely have a personality to them and I really want to check out their Woodinville location and taste their wines again. My grandpa ended up getting 3 bottles and originally he didnt want to come here but his mind was quickly changed after coming in. I am not a big fan of oaky chardonnay but this chardonnay was so buttery and smooth it was almost like a dessert wine to me, but I thought it was delicious. It was priced at $28 so I would compare it to an Ethos Chardonnay which is Chateau Ste Michelle's Reserve label. I cannot say enough good things about this place. You got to come check it out for yourself! read more

We had a fantastic dinner here at Alexandria Nicole Cellars! Their in-house Chef Frank Magana presented us with a fancy, fancy dinner in their hidden bookcase room and made the evening an unforgettable experience. The website says he does house parties too so keep him in mind for your next shindig. I could not be more pleased with our meal here. The room was quiet, candlelit, had our own choice of music playing, the menu was personalized and the food exquisite. The staff were so helpful in planning this special evening for my husband and I. From the outside looking in, yeah, this seems a bit dubious. But once you're inside, it feels just like visiting a family Estate Winery anywhere else around Columbia Valley. Great staff and service (Matt and Therron were especially helpful), and lots of extra pours and tasting options for wine club members. For me, I tend to be more of a red drinker, so for the other red wine drinkers, stock up on the Jet Black Syrah. They have a few other blends that are also delicious, but that one should be near the top of your list. I'm not a huge white wine drinker, but the new Alberino (one of only 3 wineries in Washington with that varietal) is amazing, as are the Rousanne and the Shepherd's Mark blend. read more

I can't say enough good things about the wines at this winery. Delicious wines, several of which came home with us. Why not five stars? Well, their tasting policy is a bit off-putting. The price of $10 isn't an issue. But $20 for reserve wines? And, to get that fee waved, you have to buy two bottles PER PERSON. When asked, they said it is because of the policy at their Woodinville location. Woodinville is known for drunk tours, bachelorette parties in limos, etc, where Prosser is known as more serious wine tasters who will actually buy wines. I would re-think this at the Prosser location. read more

My husband and I just stayed two nights in the Jet Black tiny house for our 11th wedding anniversary. Since we were late in arriving (so sorry Ali!!) we didn't have our arrival tasting with Ali, but we were greeted by Jarrod who gave us the super casual and hilarious tour of our house. He then took us to their new tasting room and gave us our own private tasting. Jarrod and Ali made us feel like we were friends of theirs from way back. Very hospitable, generous, and laid back. It was a great start to our romantic getaway. The Jet Black tiny house was spectacular!!! The garage door in the living room, the wine on tap, a/c, gourmet kitchen, fire pit and deck!! If we forgot something, they already had provided it. All was phenomenal. Literally the only thing we were missing was a spatula to flip pancakes, they had everything else! Bringing bikes would have been a great idea for an activity, though we did walk in the vineyard quite a bit. We brought years worth of photos and built an album for our 9 yr old Which was the best thing we could have done! Drinking wine and crying over the memories we have made over our last 15 years. read more

We LOVED this winery. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We tried a bunch of wines and came back with a pinot gris. To make it even better they have CUPCAKES! The cupcakes are baked in the morning in their kitchen! We tried a cab cupcake, mango, bacon n maple, and something else. ALL were delicious. Light and fluffy and went perfectly with wine tasting.
