General - My family stayed here for one night while we were driving through the Florida Keys for…read moreour winter getaway trip in January 2025 (crazy enough, winter followed us and we enjoyed mid 50's in Key West, sheesh). Location - The hotel is right off of Interstate 1 and in the middle of Key Largo. You are just down the road from a Publix, shopping center, and a number of restaurants. John Pennecamp State Park is really close as well. Rooms & Building - The hotel is going for a retro tropical tiki vibe. It is probably not for everyone but I digged it. Rooms are spacious and offer the typical Hampton Inn layout. The grounds were not like typical Hamptons though, well manicured and full of beautiful tropical plants. This location had a much more Hilton resort vibe without the resort price. Amenities - The hotel had a small beach area that overlooked the ocean. You can borrow kayaks to take out on the water but it was so windy the day we were there, you would have no luck getting anywhere (we watched a poor couple try to no avail). There is a pool with a pool bar but everything was so cold, it was closed and the pool was somewhat uncomfortable to swim due to the temps and wind, so we passed. Food - Pool bar was closed but we did enjoy the free breakfast buffet. Typical Hampton Inn offerings including make your own waffles, eggs, breakfast meat and an assortment of continental offerings. My kids loved that there was a ton of toppings (including key lime syrup!) available for the waffles, we made some pretty crazy combos. Vibe - Easy going and super friendly staff. No complaints. Reality vs. Online - Pictures that I saw on their website and online matched the quality and condition of the hotel and rooms in-person. No surprises. Price & Final Verdict - It was more than what I normally would pay for a Hampton Inn at $240 a night but the Keys are spendy during tourist season. Too bad it was so cold it didn't feel much like it! Oh well, our MN luck. Weather aside, the property was nice and it would have been cool to utilize the water sports and water area. On a nicer day, I feel like these would be great bonuses to the property and added value to the stay. If I'm back in Key Largo, I'll give this place another view.

I really love this place! It's a great location! It seems so small, but yet when you start…read morenavigating it, there is quite a bit of property. It's a little confusing at first, but you catch on pretty quick. There is a great beachfront area with lots of lounge chairs to watch the sunrise or sunset or just feel like you are right on the ocean. This is almost right across the street from Jon Penny camp State Park. I went snorkeling and went right back to my room. It was all an amazing experience! There are several great restaurants and stores to shop around here. Oh, and let's not forget the warm cookies when you arrive! Just like all Hamptons, this place offers an amazing breakfast offering for free. Everything from homemade waffles to scones. The lead attendance name was Norma and she was so passionate about her job and about making people happy and keeping the area clean and tidy and stocked. It was a pleasure meeting her!

Our room was newly remodeled, everything first-rate, super comfy. Lush, tropical grounds, fun gallery in the office, botanical gardens Lon grounds! We needed a late check out, no problem! An awesome place to stay, reasonably priced, great staff! Highly recommend!

First the plusses: beautiful and private setting. Meticulously manicured grounds. No young children…read moreyelling and splashing around in the pool. Pristine tennis court/pickleball court. Friendly staff. VERY QUIET....nice list of suggested places to eat. Some minuses: Kayaks are missing the "snap in" backs (pretty annoying for a longer paddle) and the gear has seen better days. The Guava room has zero counter space in the miniscule bathroom, and the two tiny nightstands don't do much but hold lamps. No microwave, one tiny rickety luggage rack that barely supports a small carry on. You can't buy a soft drink on the property or anything like snacks or sundries so make absolutely sure you have everything BEFORE you settle in. Maybe other rooms are different... That's it. You have to decide what you value more when staying here. I'd give it 3 stars based upon my preferences vs. the nightly room rate.

Steps away from the water, so nice to have coffee and breakfast at our little table in the mornings. The room was neat and clean, though could use ceiling fans to circulate the air. Kitchen has a sink, microwave, coffee pot and fridge. We brought our own Keurig to make coffee though. Quiet, old Florida vibe. Friendly people. Free breakfast on site. We drove to Publix to get supplies to make sandwiches for lunch and frequented local restaurants for dinner. We would stay again.
