The repairman said he was backed-up, and it would take a half-hour. I was a little surprised that it would take that long, but, I wasn't in a rush and had other things to do, so, I had no issue with that. Forty-five minutes later, after doing my chores, I came in, and was recognized by the friendly front staff, who, immediately, got my watch (i.e., they didn't even ask for the receipt tag I had been given). It cost $10, which is double the $5 I last paid at another jeweler (bad experience; won't go back), but, beggars can't be choosers (I hadn't asked for an estimate, and might have balked, but, I'm glad I didn't!). I was surprised that they didn't charge the 3-5% credit/debit card usage, but the woman (manager?) said that, for the quality and price customers pay, they "swallow" the credit company upcharge (a huge difference from an electrician, who charged me $7,500 for a day's work PLUS 3.5% for using a credit card (who has $7.5k cash on them???), which, when I protested, he just shrugged; fortunately, they did a good job)). While I was in the busy jeweler's, other customers were beaming from their new purchase or repair.
