    Lemon Thyme Doughnut

Great Alfalfa location with indoor and outdoor seating. Indoors sat around 8 people, and outside there were a few tables. The interior is clean with eye catching displays of merch and items to buy. The service was great and the cashier was very friendly, offering recommendations. Ended up just doing a quick stop with a Cappuccino and donut. The Cappuccino was solid - Flavorful and generously sized. Ordered a Lemon Thyme donut - very citrusy! Good texture.

    Sunflower Wrap

Alfalfa has perfected the Big Salad and I rarely want to go anywhere else for exactly that. Their uptown Hoboken location has been a long time favorite, but now that they have expanded to downtown Hoboken as well as JC (and also Princeton!!!!) there is even more big salads to love. I usually will always get the sweet pear salad if it is on the menu since it is seasonal but if not, the Greek salad the Sunflower salad are also delicious. And I will almost always add chicken. And boom, the perfect lunch. On my last visit to this location, I opted for the Sunflower as a wrap for the first time and it's just as delicious. I am a notoriously messy eater, so this was not the most ideal meal for me to be eating out in public. But that's no ones fault but myself. The Sunflower comes with the classic Alfalfa leafy mix of a few different greens, avocado, walnuts, chickpeas, apples, sunflower seeds, quinoa, and a really great balsamic dressing. It might be my new go to. I also sometimes will get the ginger turmeric iced tea if I need something cold, but their lattes are delicious and all of the locations have self service water canisters. Like their others locs, this new spot downtown is great for grab and go (order ahead) but also grabbing a table and the wifi password and staying for a bit for some remote work. This location used to be an old general store, and while I miss it, it's definitely been replaced by a local favorite.

    Peruvian Chicken Salad

Alfalfa 92 Bloomfield St. Peruvian Chicken Salad The overall salad was decent. In addition to hearty chunks of chicken, It was topped with black beans, corn, grape tomatoes, tortilla chips and Oaxaca cheese. However, I was not a fan of the avocado tomatillo salsa as I feel it was too thick for a salad dressing. The dressing kind of reminds me of slime. Minus the dressing, I was highly satisfied.

    Spicy Caesar wrap.

Location is cute. Staff is super nice. Ordered the spicy Caesar wrap. The wrap is supposed to be a dollar cheaper than the salad, but it was only $.50 less when they rang me up. They also ran out of one of the ingredients in the wrap and compensated another guest who ordered via the app with a free drink, which was nice, but they didn't offer me anything since I ordered in person. I got about five small pieces of chicken. It was very overpriced and very disappointing. The staff did step up and make it right. All my friends rave about this place, maybe it was just an off day but probably won't be returning for the nearly $17 I paid for the chicken wrap that was 90% croutons.

    Green goddess custom salad.

I absolutely love this location, it's so much more convenient! I've had two salads from Alfalfa recently, their Greek salad and a custom salad with green goddess dressing. Both were great and I like that you can also get any salad as a wrap, which my fella prefers. Ordering ahead and picking up has been a very smooth process and my order was ready by the time I arrived to pick-up. I also like that the portion size is generous. The only thing I would change about this place is I would like a piece of bread on the side with my salad.

I tried the pistachio and rose flavor, and the sponge-like, moist texture was so good. It would have been perfect and super absorbent with a cup of tea. These are definitely specialty donuts that feel handmade and would be great for events like a birthday or a wedding, something with real significance. The service was excellent. The owner of the donut stand, when I saw her at Holi Seaport (downtown Manhattan), was very nice and humble. Even though she was working a packed station, she still took the time to serve me personally. She sold out all her donuts, which tells you just how amazing they are. The ambience depended on the event, since it was just a stand -- I didn't go to her actual shop in Weehawkens. Given that she does a lot of events between New York and New Jersey, the vibe will vary depending on which one you attend.

We got both vegan options they had that day (tiramisu kulfi cardamom and spiced chai latte), and they looked great for our snack. We didn't see the prices before ordering (not my usual MO, but it was busy and they brought over the unit to tap our phone), and when we saw the charge later, we were floored. Smorgasburg pricing is always kind of ridiculous, but this was so high that we thought something went wrong with the order. Over $30 for TWO donuts after taxes and fees? I'm all for supporting small businesses, but for two small donuts, that's kind of outrageous. For the price we paid, I'd expect the best donuts I've ever had in my life, and while these were fine, they were not that. Since the flavors are Indian-inspired, they're flavors that are not common at other donut shops, which is great, but the pricing is just completely off. Pretty donuts, but can't see spending this much again.

I've never eaten anything that I didn't like. My faves are: milhojas, breakfast croissant sandwich, and any and every cake with dulce de leche filling. Absolutely zero gatekeeping here. Please everyone keep patronizing this establishment. I need this place to continue to exist in my hood.

So get anything fresh, like made to order cakes or things you see come out right when you're there. Otherwise you run the risk of getting old stuff, which sucks that they don't manage that at all. On a Sunday afternoon lines moved quickly and we were able to find seats. This is a cute cafe that offers plenty of savory items and lunches, plus drinks like matcha, cakes, pastries and cookies. There is also a bathroom! The women behind the counter were all nice and patient with my questions, they also kept the line moving and were quick. I had high hopes for the Alfajores as this is an Argentinian bakery but unfortunately the ones given to me were stale. The cookie was very hard. Also the Dulce de leche was too sweet and burnt tasting to me. I also got a chocolate covered one and the cookie in that was also hard and dry. The strawberry croissant was amazing. Never had anything like that before. Not too sweet and very flaky. It has a ribbon of red on the outside which gives it a unique look. I would love to come back and try savory items. I'll continue to stick with the cakes and croissants for desert and make sure it's fresh!

In fact, I work so close and the donuts are so good that I have now become a regular at The Donut Pub. I normally get two donuts, and have been exploring the types of donuts. So far I've had the chocolate dipper, double chocolate dipper, Brooklyn creme, vanilla creme, strawberry creme and Boston creme. They never disappoint. All of the staff members are efficient and sweet, even when the shop is busy. Even if there's a line or they are making a bunch of orders, their service is consistently extremely fast without sacrificing quality. Their matcha latte and regular coffee latte are also pretty good. The cups are adorable. The interior is the old diner from back in the 90s style, and surprisingly they have a decent amount of seating considering how small the establishment is. Run, don't walk! (You might feel like you should run off the calories if you try the food but I personally feel like the donuts are worth it)
