I visited Turning Point this morning and wow -- this will always be one of my favorite brunch spots! We ordered the huevos rancheros, the breakfast combo (which comes with a side of French toast or pancakes -- I chose the French toast), salmon Benedict, and Belgian waffle with eggs. The highlight of the meal was definitely the huevos rancheros. The salsa and sour cream mixed with the eggs, cheese, and potatoes tasted amazing. So flavorful and comforting. The salmon Benedict was also really fresh and delicious. The breakfast combo was a little more simple, but still super satisfying and perfect if you want a classic breakfast. The view here is also really nice, which makes the whole experience even better. Every time I've come on the weekend, the place has been packed, so expect a wait for a table -- but honestly, it's worth it! read more

Went to Turning Point on a Saturday around 1:30pm for lunch, and it was packed. We made a reservation in advance, which was very much needed, otherwise there would have been a pretty long wait for a table. There were five of us (three adults, a toddler, and a baby), and we were able to get a large booth with a nice water view. We started with a French press coffee and tried the Costa Rican blend, which was very enjoyable. They offer a good variety of coffee options. The menu is extensive, with lots of options especially healthy options. I ordered the "Bug Easy Benedict," a unique take on eggs Benedict with cornbread, chorizo, and a Creole-spiced hollandaise ($15.25). They also have plenty of kids' options, along with sandwiches, omelets, juices, and lighter/health-focused dishes. Portions are filling without being excessive, and the prices are very reasonable for the area. Service was quick and attentive, and our food came out promptly despite how busy it was. Tried this restaurant close to Hoboken's waterfront which was absolutely beautiful. Had a so-so time celebrating my son's birthday on cinco de mayo! Our server was nice but not as attentive as I thought she would be. No recommendations were given. We went for brunch, and I ordered the chicken & waffles with bacon and the birthday guy ordered a Caesar salad wrap. Loved the meal with the spicy sauce for the chicken but the dish would have been better without the crumbled bacon!! I would have rather strips. This is a wonderful spot for breakfast or brunch in uptown Hoboken!! We came here on a Saturday morning and were seated about 10minutes after arrival. The inside is so cute and well themed, plus, the view is amazing! Our waitress was really helpful and funny, making sure we ordered the right items and answering all our questions. Came here a few months back without a reservation on Veteran's Day and they were so accommodating and patient. We only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, and the service was also great and our server was very attentive! Celebrated my best friend's birthday here for brunch. Had a great experience. Little bit of a wait even with reservations, but the service was good once seated. Always come here for brunch. Great views and value for what you pay for. It was a coz and laid back spot to catch up. I used to love coming here but now not so much. The service is slow and the people that work there are nice but act like they've never worked a restaurant in their lives. We had to ask for everything to go with our meal. I got French toast and had to ask for syrup. We asked for honey and had to ask two people before we got it! Also, the food has fallen off. I ordered French toast and there was no flavor to it. It tasted like it was dipped in egg and nothing else. No cinnamon, nutmeg, nothing. The best thing now, is the chai tea, which I love. Everything is mediocre and expected but the waiting time on Sunday is just insane. It took us 60+ minutes in the line and some 20 minutes before we got the food. You're definitely paying for the view at this restaurant. That being said, I am not normally a pancake lover, and the cinnamon swirl pancakes were delightful. Bacon could have been more crispy. I appreciated that we were able to get a table for Saturday brunch, but my party of two was sat at a table of six in a room off to the side. I met friends at the Turning Point for the first time this past Sunday 6/6/2026. We had a few minutes wait for 5 people but the staff was gracious. We sat at this beautiful table by the window which looked out on the Hudson. Our server got our drink order immediately and was there when we all were ready to order. Once again she was gracious, helpful and knowledgeable. Our food came out complete, hot and delicious. The generous portions were also presented beautifully. I was with special friends from out of town who were extremely impressed. I must add that I left my sunglasses there. Turning point is such a fun breakfast diner! I heard there can be a wait to be seated, but we called ahead and we barely had to wait at all when we arrived. The menu has so many options. It was really hard to choose. I went with the breakfast combo so I could have a little bit of everything. And I upgraded my pancakes to get the cinnamon roll pancakes (yum!). The eggs and bacon were standard. The potatoes were not my favorite but everyone else loved them. The pancakes really won me over because they were delicious and unique! They tasted just like a cinnamon bun. The lattes we ordered were HUGE, just FYI. The French press coffee is yummy but expensive. We did take to-go cups for the coffee we couldn't finish. Turning Point has been a brunch favorite of mine with a large selection of hearty home staples. While I've never frequented the Hoboken location until recently, I felt that the overall experience left a lot to be desired. *AMBIANCE* The decor here is consistent with how the other locations are decorated and feels like you've arrived at the Jersey Shore. They have an online waitlist function which is convenient if you are coming here with a large party on a weekend. This restaurant is on the waterfront and is great for looking at the NYC skyline over the Hudson. *FOOD* The cold brew here is great and comes in a large jug. I like how you can opt for the sweet cold foam which they give to you on the side. At other locations, I've always loved the skillets and decided to order a Wilbur Skillet here, but must say the food at this location is disappointing and not fresh. My dish tasted average, which came with ROTTEN avocados that looked like they were intentionally hidden in the dish. There were questionable black moldy spots... *SERVICE* Our waitress was friendly, but on weekends, it's hard to get attentive service since the place is packed. Came by with 5 friends on a Sunday and we were expecting a long wait time, so we put our names on the waitlist online on our way over. Thankfully we did, because when we got to the restaurant, there were crowds waiting outside. When we checked in, we were told our wait was another 10 min, so definitely check in with the host if you put yourself on the waitlist early. Still a good place! The best thing that I have had hear is def the chicken salad. you can get it on a wrap or on the cosmo salad. The salad has pineapple, dried cranberries and other things. The dressing is great too. I prefer it that way. The turkey club was alright. I liked the thick cut bread but the turkey was a little slimy. Still a long wait. Big Easy Benedict has been my go to for the past couple years but I've been ordering to go--we will be back to dine in, soon! It made me remember how much I enjoy this place right by the Hudson River overlooking the NYC skyline. The to go service has been spot on! I order via Uber Eats pickup and it's always ready within the 20 min timeframe and still warm and delicious when I drive home to Weehawken. The hollandaise today, was especially delicious, creamy and flavorful--I ate the rest with my morning potatoes. The poached eggs were perfectly poached, egg whites were cooked well and firm while the yolk still runny. Love the chicken chorizo, I wish there was more of it! The peppers and onions are ok a little overdone for my preference and the avocado perfect touch of healthy fat on here! On a Thursday morning, there was no wait, so my friend and I were able to be seated immediately. Although we weren't seated in a booth by the window for the waterfront views, we still had a great time at Turning Point! My friend has the cinnamon roll pancakes and I got the strawberry cheesecake french toast. My friend really liked the cinnamon roll pancakes but she was unfortunately only able to finish one, I enjoyed how the pancake had a cinnamon swirl in the middle to resemble its namesake cinnamon roll. I found my strawberry cheesecake french toast to be slightly underwhelming. It came with a warm strawberry compote, with sliced strawberries on top of the French toast and the cheesecake frosting drizzled on top. I was under the impression that there would be more frosting and more strawberries, but the meal overall wasn't bad. So first of all this place is packed like crazy and I went on a Sunday so only got a spot around 2:00 after a 40 min wait. Honestly brunch here is over rated. I got the creole egg platter and they did offer a sausage replacement (to chicken) which was kind of them, but the whole meal was honestly not that tasty and I felt the quality of the ingredients is not high. I was happy that the pancakes did not have too much icing to overpower the cake. I also ordered the shrimp and grits to share and it left a lot to be desired. I wouldn't recommend. There was a lot of bacon on top but the grits didn't really taste seasoned and the shrimp could be cooked less as they were tough. I took one star off because of the shrimp and grits but also because the floor around the table we were sat at was very dirty with large crumbs left from the parties before. I understand they were busy but presenting a clean space is influential on how much some may enjoy their meal. Overall I would recommend. Server was great and food was good. Great food for brunch! I have been to Turning Point in Westfield and my friend suggested this location and I said say no more! They only seat completed parties I was first in line for a while before the seated us (outside even) but it was nice outside (especially for March) so it ended up being fine if not a little chilly. I got the Fez Moroccan tea which was in a tea bag--not what I expected but the flavor was above average. For food I got the eggs with salad and chicken sausage--made well to order and enjoyable. My friend ordered the Benedict but didn't finish so will leave that up to interpretation. The pancakes were AMAZING. Hands down so tasty and while sweet I feel well balanced. I used to love coming here and it never really took to long to sit down, add yourself to the waitlist and check in upon arrival. I added myself to the waitlist at 11:28 which was early got seated by 1:20 pm knowing the had an hour wait. But what my partner and I found interesting, was that there was plenty of people coming in and seeming to know the hostess and checking in and being sat. Interesting enough my waitlist place stated there was 0 people ahead of us around 1230. When we asked the host who was playing roulette with who he felt like seating he stated those were people on the online waitlist to which we indicated we had signed up online and checked in, he then stated we were 3rd to be seated but when I showed him our online wait list place and brought up that their seating system wasn't making any sense because people were just coming in and checking in and being sat and giving one another looks he seemed like we had caught on to his game and had them seat us right away. While the food here is great, if you won't play fair it's not worth our time not service moving forward unless you'd like to spend your entire afternoon being overlooked because you're not a usual regular.
