I was really looking forward to trying Just Salad, but unfortunately, was deeply disappointed with my experience here. I ordered two Crispy Chicken Poblano Salads. Upon opening the food at home, I noticed that both of these salads were made completely incorrectly. As you'll see in the picture, the main star of the dish, the chicken, was not even in the salad! There was no kale, but only pieces of romaine. We got bread and it was not included either. They also did not include the lime. The salad dressing, I'll say, was very yummy, but we were just crewing on lettuce, a few pieces of corn, two small chunks of avocado, some tortilla chip bits, and dressing for our dinner. This was my first experience at Just Salad, and it left a horrible impression on me. This was not a filling meal, had multiple mistakes/missing items, and definitely not what I was expecting. I ordered delivery from Just Salad tonight. I ordered the build-your-own-salad. I started with a base of super green blend (kale, spinach, red cabbage). Added shaved broccoli, overnight pickled onion, hand-cut beets, fresh cilantro, roasted balsamic mushrooms (additional $1.99), and creamy goat cheese (additional $1.89). All mixed with medium homemade lemon basil vinaigrette. Delivery arrived early. Salad is fresh. It's delicious. It's about $15. A little pricey since there's no meat protein added. They also forgot the beets. And if you ask me, I'd add my own goat cheese next time. It's a small amount for $1.89. Not worth it. This was my first time ordering from here. DoorDash order took over an hour....to the point that one dasher bailed on the pick up and the other poor guy stuck it out and waited for about 40 minutes. Not acceptable. Dasher asked what was going on and there was no clear reason for such a delay. Just salad is the definitely a good spot to get exactly that... a salad. A good salad place is hard to find and if you're in the mood for one this place will hit the spot. What I like about the place is the variety of greens they have to make the salads base. The ingredients taste fresh and they have a variety of dressings. They even have vegan options for the ever so growing vegan population. The staff are always friendly and getting a salad is quick and easy. Not much seating so take your salad to go. Took off a star because they do not have many salad creations on their menu as I would think they would. Also I don't like a wet salad and they ask light , medium or heavy dressing and to me the light is like heavy. So I recommend getting it on the side if you don't like a lot of dressing. Otherwise.. To put in perspective, if there were 3 chicken tenders on the wrap, no one would consider it a large portion. That's simply an unfair amount for that much money. Though I typically make my lunch at home, I was so excited to hear that Just Salad opened in town that I just had to treat myself to a fancy salad. The shop was spotlessly clean, and the staff was very polite. Despite their name, they also offered grain bowls, wraps, smoothies, etc., though I pursued their namesake menu item. While I liked the sound of all of their pre-made salads, I decided to compile my own mixture to ensure that it would include all of my favorites. The salad started with my choice of a base, for which I selected the Supergreens Blend of kale, spinach, and red cabbage. I then got to select 4 "essentials" (more available for an extra charge), so I selected the Hand-Cut Beets, Sliced Grape Tomatoes, Roasted Butternut Squash, and Seasoned Roasted Cauliflower. Next, I added some premium, more pricy items - Hass Avocado and Roasted Balsamic Mushrooms. Lastly, I selected a side cup of balsamic vinegar as my dressing. I did not sit at one of their few tables, but took the salad home to enjoy. I loved that some of the items that I had selected were seasoned or cooked, as it made the salad more interesting. I'd take this over Sweetgreen any day. Excellent service and friendly staff, and generous portions. Ingredients are fresh and they never skimp. I also appreciate the flexibility when it comes to swaps, and that you get 1 free topping when you bring your reusable bowl. First I have to say, Hoboken was way late to the game of the tossed salads with your choice of toppings that has been a thing in NYC for like 20 years. I was very excited when Just Salad opened and have enjoyed it many times. Since then Alfalfa has also opened downtown which is a bit closer than JS. After admittedly going to Alfalfa more times than JS over the past few months I just got JS tonight and I have to say I think JS gets my vote for best salad. I don't know what it is but I just really like them more, the chicken, the toppings (maybe more generous?). Not sure what it is but that's just my 2 cents. Summary: not quite the same as it used to be Just Salad was a staple in my pre- pre- pre-pandemic work life. Like clockwork, my coworkers and I would head to the subterranean food court at Rockefeller Center and munch on tasty (but questionably healthy, especially when dousing with dressing) salads, including my favorite the smokehouse steak. It's been years since I visited a Just Salad, and I was eager to try out the newly opened Hoboken location. While many of the classic signs were there (the anachronistic little sheets of paper as they take your order), this location seems to be missing a few things: - no smokehouse steak on the menu. In fact, no steak at all. Not sure if this is company wide or just this location. Bummer - some other tweaks to the menu: the buffalo chicken salad used to have chunky cheese cubes, but this location opts for thin, barely there cheese strips The staff is friendly but I'm not loving the new menu. I got lunch here around 1 pm on a weekday and it was very quick and efficient, and the food was delicious! I got the Thai tofu salad except the dressing was not gluten free so I got a different dressing. There is a list of which dressings are gluten free, but the main menu does not have allergen information. The staff let me know what options were gluten free though! This location is terrible. They literally effed up every single ordered item with absolutely no regard. Ordered a spicy tofu crunch bowl rancid mushrooms, burnt tofu that was inedible, and my bowl was poorly packaged with some of its contents spilled out in the delivery bag. Also, ordered a custom salad with Hass Avocado( omitted from salad but was charged for it) and chose the dressing as honey mustard vinegrette and instead got Thai peanut dressing. And, finally my drink order was incorrect ordered the raspberry poppi and instead got the watermelon one. Will be avoiding this location like the plague. read more

When you call, you are directed to contact the delivery service, but when I spoke with the delivery service they said they couldn't do anything because Just Salad messed up the order. I finally got Just Salad on the phone and was given two unsatisfactory options: get a credit for a next order or wait for them to remake and deliver. Would not even refund the delivery fee.
