We were traveling to NYC via Hoboken'. It's Friday in Lent so the dinner must be no meat! We stopped here. The food was delicious. I ordered a bowl with shrimp. My husband ordered a sandwich. The service was quick. The dining area roomy and comfortable. We enjoyed the food and the ambuan
I absolutely love this place. They had a deal on those sweet and spicy chicken and I got a nice discount. The staffing and recommendations and the food and drink were really good. The sweet and spicy chicken was a perfect amount of sweet and spice and the entire dish was very filling. The Thai tea was also smooth and I enjoyed it as well.

While the food was decent, the portion sizes felt a bit on the smaller side. The setup is casual and feels like a fast-casual chain--clean, spacious enough to order and grab a seat for a quick meal. The curry was flavorful and served piping hot. Overall, it's a solid spot for a quick bite if you're in the area.
Decided to head to Hoboken to try Toast x Bowl on Washington Street. They had various sandwich options, rice bowls and salads. The place was new and unique I've never had a sandwich quite like it with the fluffy egg and chicken. The flavor was great in both meals. I'd love to go back and try some of the other stuff on the menu. This place screamed cozy vibes once we walked in. The staff was very attentive and helpful with choosing options. Great addition to a plethora of food spots in Hoboken.
A little overhyped, and I feel it was trying to advertise itself as a Japanese sando place but it felt like a regular sandwich spot. We got it to-go, and got a little insulated to-go bag. The flavors worked well, but I'm not sure I would come back for such a pricey sandwich. It does taste like something I can make at home. That being said, it could work as a lunch spot if you want to splurge.

The staff was super nice and the fact we were able to order from a self kiosk made the experience quick. Ordered the steak rice bowl for takeout. The steak was very delicious, the eggs were fluffy. I do wish the asparagus was put next to the eggs like on the menu photo instead of buried underneath. It was definitely yummy, but not sure if I would order this specific dish again because of the price $20+....the portion seems too small
Went for a Sunday lunch. Modern style restaurant, very nice vibrant interior. There are about 6-8 tables to sit and dine. Menu includes sandwiches, rice bowl, hot and cold drinks. They make the drinks in the front counter, pretty cool to see while waiting. I am a fan of sandwiches made of toast in general. I was really excited to try theirs. Got the bulgogi bliss sandwich. Pretty large sandwich with lots of beef bulgogi, good vegetables, fluffy egg and a very tasty toasted bread. Really enjoyed the sandwich. Also got chicken pop corn. Chicken was tender, fried just about right. The strawberry fizz was a refreshing mocktail type drink. Overall we had a wonderful lunch there. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our food came out within few minutes. We also got free drink cards for filling out post meal survey. Looking forward to visiting here again soon.

We were in search of a cafe in Hoboken and were going to head somewhere else, but ended up going here after seeing how cute it was from the outside. We had dinner plans, but wow their sandwiches look so good, I love these kind of sandwiches with the brioche buns. We didn't get to try them this time, but opted to get their strawberry fizz, which was nice and light, perfect on a hot fall day! I can speak that this place is super clean and has a nice aesthetic. Staff is friendly, place is clean, nice music with a good volume. Love all the plants, wood, and the design in general of this place. We are already planning to come back here to get the sandwiches, because both me and my husband have to hold back from ordering one since we have other dinner plans. I would come back here quick, since it seems to fill really quickly with people who are just walking by and then deciding to walk in and enter, I can see this being the new hotspot cafe!

its been a while since ive been fully satisfied with an establishment at Hoboken and so this was a real treat!! Toast x Bowl was exactly what i was looking for! Asian meals that pack flavor, thoughtfully prepared, and at an atmosphere that is pleasant and welcoming! Service was quick too and just what we needed since we have a restless toddler lol the casual ambiance was very appreciated as well. The bulgogi bowl was delicious, the sandwiches satisfying and the drinks refreshing! there are ample seats too and the design is modern and bright. I would definitely love to come back and try some more from the menu! read more
The drinks were definitely 5/5! We ordered the matcha latte, Jolly Rancher Fizz, and iced Thai latte, and enjoyed all three. The food was decent, and we really appreciated that they offered a good variety of vegetarian options rather than just a few basic dishes with minimal vegetables. The sandwiches were tasty, with soft and fluffy bread, flavorful chicken with a nice spicy kick, and fresh-tasting vegetables. The portions were also filling. Stopped into Toast & Bowl for a quick lunch and had a solid experience. Ordering is easy with the self-service kiosks right when you walk in, and our food came out in about 10 minutes. Staff was great super attentive, offered us free water (nice touch), and even made some conversation. You can tell they've got a good team in there. The food was very good. I got the sweet and spicy chicken bowl and really enjoyed it, chicken was great, rice and egg were both solid. No complaints on quality at all. The only downside is the price. A little over $20 for that size bowl makes it hard to justify going regularly. That's really the only thing holding this back from a perfect rating. Ordered: Bulgogi Rice Bowl (~$15): bulgogi, shrimp (+$5), parsley, spinach, sliced radish, sautéed white mushrooms over white rice and sauce on the side Aya's take: I was looking for something to order in for dinner, came across Toast x Bowl, and decided to give it a try. As the name implies, they predominantly sell toast sandwiches and rice bowls. Let me get right to the point - I was so impressed with the Bulgogi Rice Bowl. The bowl looks small but is packed to the brim. The amount of bulgogi is decent, however I added shrimp for ~$5 and only got 3 pieces. That's ~$1.67/shrimp which is outrageous. The shrimp was deliciously seasoned and well-cooked. It turned into a little surf-and-turf action with the bulgogi. The sauce they gave on the side was a real winner! It was sweet, spicy, and savory all at once. I need that recipe asap. I was putting some on every bite. The spinach, sliced radish, and mushrooms gave the dish some freshness that cut through the bulgogi and shrimp. The rice was also super fluffy and pillowy. Overall, this was an absolute home-run of a meal! I would give it a 4.5/5 given the quantity of the shrimp but other than that, I'm a big fan and would have this again! read more

This have to be my top 5 spot so far in Hoboken. The aesthetic is very holistic and calming. It sorta rival or best Starbucks as an atmosphere where you can just come and just chill,eat and drink a refreshing fizz. The food is delicious with a lot of proportion. The sweet and spicy chicken as well as the bulgogi is to die for. $15 in Hoboken is pretty the norm but it is expensive if you plan to eat out all day. read more

Our food was ready more quickly than anticipated. We've had Korean toast sandwiches like this before but this was better than other competitors. The sauce was perfect, the egg fluffy and the shrimp warm. The service was so nice and we felt like they really cared about their food. read more

What an amazing addition to Washington St! It reminds me of a cafe, but it's inviting enough where you want to sit and enjoy your food. Their sandwiches are so so good! Every bite is perfect, there's the right amount of each ingredient so you enjoy your food from beginning to end. This is one of my new favorite spots at a good price point and the food is actually filling. read more

Tried this restaurant one day after taking my daughter to a doctors appointment and the service was excellent. The staff was friendly and welcoming, delivered your food to your table with a smile and was very knowledgeable of the menu when making recommendations. My favorite is the shrimp rice bowl, the shrimp is super flavorful and not too salty and the avocado adds a refreshing touch. Overall the restaurant is really cute and clean with cute wall art as well. I would totally recommend, show this newly opened restaurant some love! read more

I saw Toast X Bowl advertise on Yelp and normally I don't pay attention to ads, but the Korean style egg toast looked pretty good. I'm so glad I decided to check them out because their food is amazing. So great I ate there twice in a row, lol. The store is bright and welcoming with a well rounded menu that tickles anyone's fancy. They have egg toast, rice bowls, salad, drinks, and dessert. My favorite by far was the grilled shrimptastic. The fluffy bread, lemon mayo, shrimp, onions, lettuce, and avocado is such a lovely blend of amazingness. My boyfriend ordered the bulgogi toast and loved it. The popcorn chicken was amazing and the sauce is great too. Their sweet potato fries have a nice blend of salty and sweet with a kick of cajun spice. Drinks are great and not sweet at all. My boyfriend and I have been trying to find places that served ades like how they do in Korea and this is the only place by far that nails it very closely. Staff is super friendly and the owner is so nice! He came to give us our food, as well as checking up on us. It was great to learn more about the chef and the influences of Asian cuisine they incorporate into their menu. It was also nice he recognized us the second time we came in. Like someone else said in their review, I want to gatekeep this place so badly because it's so dang good. As of this review posting (8/13/23), they're in their soft launch period right now. I truly hope they become successful and a staple in the community because their food is truly delicious and the staff is amazing. Kids Friendly & best for work lunch & healthy but tasty meal Service is great without doubt for this new hot spot at Hoboken. One of the best recent addition to Hoboken. I highly recommend you get the toast sandwich. My go to is the steak or bulgogi. It was worth every penny. Highly recommend. Also, I am not a fan of the rice bowl. It was good, but rather spent the money on the toast sandwich. read more

We love egg toast and usually have to trek down to our old stomping ground Semicolon in JC (and deal with their long weekend lines)... but ToastxBowl is now here in Hoboken, a few minutes away from us. Hooray! They're still in the soft opening phase (grand opening is Sept 1!) but there's still plenty to love - the space is bright with ample seating, the staff is super friendly (and dog lovers!), and the food is tasty. We got the bulgogi and sweet&spicy chicken sandwiches to eat along the boardwalk today, but eyeing the rice bowls and salads to try on our next visit. D wants to gatekeeper this spot so we don't have to fight lines when we come next, but we also want the good ones to succeed. So go on and give them a try - bet you'll want to come back again (like us)! read more
