The creamy tomato was good, boasting perfect texture, thickness, and seasoning. The garlic cheesy bread was toasted well, not too hard or soft, just right with some give in the middle. However, the zuppa did get saltier at the end. We also shared a half sized Seafood Spaghetti, which was lightly flavored. The sauce itself was not too thick and rather fairly watery. The cheese was amazing, but the texture needed some work. Overall, our meal here was enjoyable, made even better by the staff. Since we need fluids, I ordered the 1.5L soda and garlic bread as well. Grand total: $25 NZD! WHAT!?!? That's about $17 USD . . . I could NEVER feed a family of 4 in Honolulu for that. Bargain! After 10 minutes or so, we were notified via a monitor upstairs that our order was complete. I headed downstairs and this dude was standing there with 4 MEDIUM sized pizzas. I verified that this was my order and, surprisingly, he nodded . . . why, yes it is. Shocked, I grabbed the pies, soda and bread, and headed upstairs. My wife saw the full sized pizzas and the look on her face said it all: guess we're having pizza for dinner, too. The service was fantastic and efficient. The store was exceptionally clean. All the ingredients were incredibly fresh and had wonderful flavors. I love the concept of slower and healthier foods being served in accessible and easy way, and Big Fig is a great example of that. I didn't get to try their coffees or desserts, but have heard great things about them.
