"No, I've been here 20 years!" she replies cheerfully. Which means this is the exact same shop I've browsed the last eight summers running, and I had no idea what the name was. "Oh," I say sheepishly. "Then you've redecorated?" Fortunately, she replies with an enthusiastic nod. New jewelry cases, a ton more women's clothing, a reorganization of display stands and shelves, and a funky new Anthropolgie-esque inventory of home goods. This means that I have rather a few souvenirs in my possession that've come from Golden Valley Trading: a pair of amber teardrop earrings, some metallic sandals, a fleecy Muskoka sweatshirt, and a deliciously-scented tub of Fruits & Passion Monoï body butter than disappeared years ago and she hasn't carried since. *pout* My powers of observation are clearly suffering; but it *is* good to know that one of my most reliable sources for cottage summer souvenirs isn't going anywhere any time soon.

AO was well stocked even in the mid season and we had plenty of great options to choose from and lovely staff to help with our sélection. It was a bonus that all kids jacket and pants were on sale for 30% off. Woot! While we were browsing for the pants, we decided to get the binding adjusted on her skis and the gentleman (Bob) was so helpful with tweaking my daughter's gears to make her first day back on the slopes as easy and enjoyable as possible. It's shops like this that I miss in Toronto, with that extra attention to customers experience and willingness to go that extra mile to make it great. Thank you, Bob and staff for helping us be ready for our first day back on the slopes. We will be back to visit the shop next time we are in the area and need to pick up some great stuff!

Awesome selection of name brand men's and women's swimwear and sandals/flip-flops; huge array of high-quality waterskis, kayaks, boat bumpers, floaties, and life vests; wide variety of outdoor and patio furniture, including recycled plastic Muskoka chairs and patio umbrellas; all kinds of cabin accessories you'd never known you needed, like miniature rowboats, stained glass landscapes, pine cone nightlights, and aloe balm for your sunburns. It's easy to spend a lot of time in here, despite the siren song of a beautiful Muskoka day! This is a really fantastic store, especially on main Street Huntsville here. They have a variety of…read moreused albums, but also carry a wall full of brand new records. You're looking at about $40 for a new album, which is pretty much standard no matter where you go, but there's some great deals on used ones as well. It is a really open environment, and there's space to look around and flip through all of the different albums in comfort. This, of course, is one of the most important parts of any record store experience. The people in the store seem incredibly kind and delightful, and it is definitely worth stopping by. The only reason you may not have seen it already is because it is slightly farther up main Street than the traffic light most people use as the turnback point. Make sure you keep going until you're across from the gas station so you can experience this place for yourself!
