While visiting a food truck event, I noticed that they were there and I quickly made my way to their truck. I've never tasted corn like theirs and I mean that as the utmost compliment. My best friend ordered the Mexican style street corn and I ordered the buffalo ranch corn. Both were absolutely divine! The workers inside of the food truck were very kind and that made the experience even better. The hype behind Aww Shucks is definitely worth it, the corn is unbelievable. It's almost hard to believe that you're eating corn because of how gourmet it really is. It's the perfect mix of creamy and flavorful and if you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend it! After seeing that they also make baked potatoes, I will definitely be back to try those!

I was ecstatic when they started the Aww Shucks food truck and of course my excitement went through the roof with their brick and mortar. You want flavorful fire roasted corn? They have it in several different flavors! Be careful it is addictive. I personally get a 10 cob pan most times. You want tacos? See if they are offering them on a taco Tuesday. In the mood for a baker? Baby they have it and it is offering all the flavor! In the mood for a plate of plant based foods? Their hot bar always delivers! They don't skimp on portions, quality or taking your taste buds for a ride. Service has never missed for me. The location is easy to find and I don't have to fight for parking. Make your way to their store front or their food truck. Be sure to check their social media or sign up for their texts to see where they are beforehand. They're super involved within the community and getting out there so they may not have the store front open, but be out in the Bham streets instead.

I know) to a food truck event mainly because my favorite lemondae truck was supposed to be there and they ended up having to back out (shout out Lemonade Junkeez still love yall) so I ended up going ahead and checking out the food trucks that were there and honestly nothing really caught my attention but this one. Guys say hello to Ry Ry's Wings Fries & Pies! It's a black owned food truck kicking out some actually really good food. The customer service was great too. Everyone was very nice but my only gripe was the wait was a touch long for my liking but the food made up for it. I'm going to be honest the pizza for what it was was pretty good. They made it fresh and loaded it with toppings. Yall know how I am I prefer my toppings to be on top of the cheese not under it. This pizza reminded me of a much better version of a Subway pizza and that's not a bad thing I like their pizzas which means I liked this pizza even more. It was cooked perfectly and I can't really say much else but give it a 7.2/10 on my pizza scale. I would get this again. Now the star of the show is this polish sausage that is unlike any other. This thing was HUGE and covered in ground beef with peppers and onions covered in cheese and drizzled with bbq sauce. When I tell yall I was in Heaven! This bad boy was legit. The only thing I have to say about this is they may want to invest in boxes for these things to fit in because I couldn't close the box other than that it was perfect. Easy 10/10 Go check these guys out asap. They deserve to have a line down the freaking road man and I need to see them popping up at more food events and just areas in general because I hate that was my first time and I haven't seen them anywhere else since. #bhamfoodie #foodreview #foodreviewer #foodie #pizza #pizzareview #polishsausgae #polishsausagereview #ryrys #ryryswingsfriesandpies @highlight

Throughout the years they have been inconsistent with the seasoning and how the meat is cooked. They have a variety of meats and always have to ask if they have certain meat available. I love how they cook the tortillas with a little oil and the meat juice which is very savory when eating them. Another dish I really love getting is the Huarache, which is a fried corn patty with your meat choice, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, jalapeños, sour cream and cotija cheese. Other dishes are either a hit or miss, which I rarely get. So if you in the neighborhood you should try them and hopefully is a hit.

They come with cilantro, onions, and shredded cheese. The chicken is his go to meat choice for the tacos. I was able to try a bite of the chicken and thought it was juicy and had a nice grilled flavor. He has also enjoyed his steak burritos stuffed with beans, rice, onions, and cilantro. I love the soft and chewy flour tortilla. He likes the steak but says the flavor is not like that of typical beef steak. I ordered a torta with Alpastor (spicy pork). The Alpastor was very good with big chunks of tender meat. The bread was not quite as soft and chewy as others I've had, maybe this roll was a little stale. Overall the flavor of the sandwich was good and even better with a dash of hot sauce. Grab a drink from the ice chest underneath the window. They offer a variety of sodas in glass bottles or cans. Also spotted some bottled water, Gatorade, and energy drinks. They have pickled vegetables sitting out with the drinks. Although I typically enjoy them as part of the taco truck experience I wasn't adventurous enough to try the ones that had been sitting out uncovered in Tarrant city. Hubby says the line is usually long at lunch so you may benefit from going at an off time.

They serve breakfast all day and the lunch/dinner specials are great. It's a hole in the wall place but it works. There is no dining area perse so it best to get take out. The gentlemen there were nice and courteous and offered their best seller which is the fat mama burger which is two ground 1/4lbs chuck patties, bacon, shrimp, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mayo, and mustard. It was delicious! The size of it was monstrous! It was magnificent! I had to cancel my order of fries! Lol They have beverages here but not on tap; everything is in a can. That's a good thing in my opinion. The prices of everything is very reasonable and manageable. The service is top notch but what I enjoyed the most was the conversation and recommendation as this was my first, but not last, time visiting. I'm so mad I'm just now trying them. I'll be trying their breakfast next time because I saw a plate the owner was making and it made my mouth water like a Doberman Pinscher finally getting that bone. They accept cash, debit, and credit, the latter via square and they'll email or text you a receipt if needed. Very convenient and practical. They also do catering so if you have a function coming up, give them a call. All in all, this was a great first time experience. Great recommendations, quick food service, awesome owner and cook, and worthy of service. Visit these guys ASAP!

Eating food at this restaurant is truly unlike anything available in the city of homewood and Birmingham as a whole. That being said, since this restaurant has been open I have noticed very clear and fixable issue regarding the service, which I deem to be subpar. Keep in mind that I continue to come back here because I really do feel like this food is worth coming back for. My intention with this review is to provide constructive criticism to the owner of the restaurant who may read this and may make these changes. 1.Tableware- every time I have dined I have always noticed that the house staff is never entirely prepared to service the customer, even when the restaurant has 1 or 2 tables full. By service the customer, I mean setting plates, forks, spoons and knives at the ready. I understand that mandi is a food eaten with hands but having a plate and silverware is always necessary for the American customer 2. Taking orders- many times while ordering with a big group, the hostess would take the order by memory without writing things. This would lead to moments where while in the middle of dining on one of the mains they brought out asynchronously from the rest of the order, the hostess would end up asking us if we had anything else missing. In fact while taking the check the hostess would ask us about our order, as if we were responsible for writing it down ourselves. This isn't a deal breaker for me, but if the order is written then it would save a lot of unnecessary questions and confusion about our order. 3. Missing sides with orders: the daqous or toum is routinely missed with specific orders. Not sure if this is brought out on request or part of the order inherently though. 4. Keeping tabs on order completion: this was mentioned in number 2 but it really isn't our responsibility as customers to inquire about parts of our order when we don't see them on the table and when the waitress asks us if we are missing anything it just adds a layer of confusion and loss of trust in the staff. Bottom line: The food is great, cooked to perfection, and delicious The house staff team requires real training and the issues can be fixed. Working in service is hard and it can be a very laborious job. It seems like this restaurant is family run which is great, but I really believe certain consistencies need to be implemented for this restaurant to have real, returning customers.

Dinner also come with a salad and a rich aromatic broth to start with. Quite refreshing! Beef kabobs were good, but once we tried the lamb dishes, it paled in comparison... First all of the lamb was SO tender it was all falling off the bone! We did not need any extra seasoning, though if you run on the salty side you may need to request... Then as we were headed out talking to one of our hosts, come to find out the lamb is from a local farmer/rancher, which in this old/ex chefs mind took this to yet another level. I will absolutely be back again and am so mad that I waited so long to try it! Please treat yourself to the local gem!
