The cheesesteak may be one of the best sandwiches in Birmingham. The goat soup was also pretty amazing itself as well!

Amazing food, definitely worth a wait. Service was great, although indoor seating is a little tight so be prepared to order togo if needed

My husband found this place after I said I was craving Egusi and Fufu. I had not heard of this place and I wanted to go right away. We stopped by for a lunch date today. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and was all smiles. My husband ordered the lemon pepper wings and fries. He enjoyed his meal. Of course, I ordered the Egusi and Fufu, which was very delicious. The food and service were great! I loved the music playing in the background. I will definitely be back.

if you're looking for some authentic african (kenyan) food in Birmingham make sure to check out sahani! this is my first time ever coming to the restaurant although i've tried their food truck before. this is a family owned establishment, and every time i come in the owners are so nice and the service is always 10/10. everything i cooked to order so expect to wait at least 15mins for your food. previously i've tried their lamb quesadillas, masala fries, wings, chipati bread, and samosas. this time at the restaurant tried out the nyama choma (lamb) with jollof rice, tomato salad and a beef samosa. overall i'm satisfied with my order and the food was delicious as always and the portion was great!

I'm so glad I found this place!! Just moved from LA and was craving African food and this place hit the spot. The food is cooked to order but it still came out pretty quickly and everything was so flavorful. I got the egusi with fufu, collards, and tomato salad. The chicken in the egusi was so tender and falling off the bone. Can't wait to come back and try some of their other dishes!

Stopped in here while in B'Ham for a doctors appointment. I have never tried Nigerian food but I'm glad I did! They didn't actually have my first 2 choices so I had to go with the beef stew. I was not disappointed! It was very flavorful and a little spicy. It came with greens, fried plantains and fufu. For those who don't know what fufu is, it's basically plantains that have been smashed with a mortar and pestle until it turns into a gummy substance. That was actually pretty bland but good in its own way. You dip it into the sauce of the stew and you're supposed to swallow it whole ( I chewed it) lol. I would definitely recommend that you try this place if you're ever in the Birmingham area! You won't be disappointed! OH and the fries were amazing! I had a side of those also

I came to Sahani Kitchen and had an amazing lunch! The whole fish was crispy, flavorful, and overall delicious. The sauces that come with were both incredible, and with a bit of lemon over the fish and greens it was a fantastic flavor combo. I've never had fufu before but it was so good. And the MASALA FRIES I can't wait to get back. The place is casual and friendly, and the employees are so nice and helpful. I highly recommend this for any meal, it is such a great spot!

Incredible food and atmosphere. Extremely friendly staff. I was around the block vending a market at Haven and stumbled upon this little gem. Tiny hole in the wall almost under a bridge with a food truck parked outside. I got the steak philly and a samosa. Damn delicious. Their fries and sauce are great, too.

If you're looking for some authentic African cuisine this is the place to be. They're service is impeccable and it feels like home. Everything is made fresh!! Their location is perfect, in the heart of Downtown birmingham. The food.... 10/10 recommend. I've had almost everything on the menu and I have no complaints. So flavorful and seasoned so perfectly!! I recommend everything but today I had their lamb quesadilla with fries and a samosa(street taco). And whatever you do, don't forget to ask for their signature sahani sauce. It's to die for!!!

This was First time visiting Sahani and not gonna lie the Nyama choma (Lamb) with ugali was pretty good (being that I also like my food fresh also). The meal really embodies the Kenyan cuisine of the Nyama Choma to its fullest. The lamb was seasoned to perfection, juicy and hot and the ugali being a little average was still a good addition with the vegetables and lamb and even though I (chose) to wait a little while for my meal to be cooked fresh so I could watch the LSU and AUBURN game, it was definitely worth it. I will definitely be returning for another great and tasty experience.

Leo is just plain good people. We met on a warm Sunday afternoon while I was driving by Protective…read morestadium to see how construction was coming along. his food truck sits on the western side of the construction site just north of ASHOF. The menu looked interesting but we weren't hungry at the time. He asked me to pull over and he would give me and my son some samples. We chatted for a few mins then he gave us both a homemade tortilla chip topped with smoked salmon a crawfish tail some roasted corn salsa and cheese sauce. My son doesn't eat seafood. Like at all. He ate tail first then devoured the rest. I did as well. I asked him if he wanted some nachos and he replied Yayyah (Lil Jon voice). So we got some kid nachos. He loved them and I snacked on his left overs which were delicious. When we got home later that evening I started looking for Leo on IG, yelp, etc. I saw he was grilling some patty pan squash topped with fresh Maine lobster. I told my wife he mentioned he made some fire vegetarian nachos so I headed back down to see if could catch him. There were several folks there when I arrived. Picking up slabs and fixins, plus some sandwiches. I saw the prime rib on his IG an it looked so good I had to try a wrap. He grilled up some fresh asparagus to top my wife's nachos as well. Everything was super fresh and delicious. The pepper sauce on my wrap was spicy and the roasted corn and prime rib were tender and smoky. It was an epic portion of food. No I mean seriously the vegetarian nachos could easily be an appetizer for 6-8 ppl. I am really excited to have met Leo and I can't wait to go back. He also mentioned that if I have clothing or shoes to donate his foundation needs them and he would take them there at the truck. I told him I would put a review up on yelp and be back soon. Please check out his social and support and donate to the foundation. 24kchef.leo. The truck itself is really nice, with bright colors, a large sun visor, and many pictures of menu items decorating it. I really like the variety of drinks and chips they offer, and I appreciate that they are visible to customers. The staff were very friendly and were happy to answer my questions regarding their menu. I got the chicken tacos, and they were delicious! I could tell right off the bat that they put a lot of effort into serving high-quality food full of flavor. I really enjoyed the sauces as well. Additionally, the service was great, and everyone was super friendly. Even though it is a food truck and can get fairly busy, everything was super fresh and prepared very quickly. It is a food truck, so the atmosphere is super casual, and there is normally a small crowd, but you likely won't be waiting long. They are located in a super convenient spot, so it is never too much of a task to stop by. Overall, Dos Hermanos is a great choice if you want a quick, affordable, and delicious meal. I will definitely be back! One thing to keep in mind is that they close pretty early, but works perfectly for a nice lunch.

And good thing I did! I looked at the menu and honestly wanted to order everything cause it all sounds good. I don't eat much so I went with the two piece chicken tenders kids meal. The lady who took my order said they have a regular chicken tenders meal but I said I wanted the kids meal cause I don't eat a lot. She then said "It's the same amount of food." which, ok cool, but I don't think that should be said cause they can lose out on money. Just my opinion. And FYI, I very often get kids meals cause I really don't eat a lot. Not trying to save money or anything. The meal came with two chicken tenders, sauce, fries and a drink. Fries were good. Nothing to complain about. Those tenders tho.....YUM!!! So much flavor. And the ranch I got with it....yes! Not sure when I'll be in Birmingham again but I will 100% go back and try other items!

A huge disappointment…read more I'd always imagined that fried chicken in the South was better than fried chicken in Omaha. Wrong! The fried chicken at Tracks and Surfside Club is way better than at Eugene's. The cole slaw is also better. My girlfriend is a native of Alabama and she was no fan either. She thought her chicken was tough. I got two different styles of beer and they were tasteless. I might as well ordered a Bud Light. And, of course, the music was way too loud.
