Ali helped me earlier today with a WiFi connection issue I was having with my gaming laptop. Having your WiFi connection drop repeatedly and unexpectedly is very frustrating and he took the time to try to troubleshoot it over the phone. After those attempts did not fix my issues, he recommended ordering a new WiFi card and gave me a quote for the part and the part + him installing it. Both were very affordable for someone on a teacher's salary. He got it in the next day and texted me to let me know it was there and he was available to help. I don't think I spent more than 30 minutes there and it seems like the issue has been resolved! He even took the time to clean out the inside of my computer which I found very thoughtful. Ali was awesome! About a month ago my laptop stopped turning on. I tried replacing the battery but that was not the problem. Today I called Ali to get some help and he was available right away. He got my laptop to turn back on by removing a failed ram. Even though it was working, it went very slow so he had also recommended updating the hard drive and the Windows system. I was able to get another hard drive and bring my laptop back to him same day. He got it installed and updated Windows for me. Way cheaper than buying a new laptop! I had the WORST experience building my first PC. It took several weeks due to various complications. I was about ready to throw in the towel and give up because I had already spent so much of my savings on it. I had done some research on taking it to a computer repair shop within the area and found Ali. He responded almost right away and was very professional. The wrong part was shipped, but other than that, his work is timely as he fixed/replaced parts in two of my laptops, and they now perform better than a brand new one I just bought. I spilled water on my Macbook and was really desperate to figure out if I fried any components or damaged my computer. I had an engineer friend who was ready to look at it, but we didn't have the proper tools to unscrew my Mac to inspect the inside. Around 6pm on a Saturday, I called Ali and asked if he could help me open it up so we can inspect. When I got to his place, he was very kind, opened up my Mac, offered further advice on the inner components and handling, and was especially generous enough to lend me a few screw drivers so we could deconstruct the board. In the end, my computer turned out alright and just needed to dry out. If I have any issues, I'll be coming back to Ali as he has an obvious delicacy and care for solving computer issues. Ali is the best! I had a hinge bust on my Dell Inspiron laptop (well know problem). Fortunately, my screen hadn't broken. Naturally, my warranty had ended about 2 weeks prior. I contacted Ali via Yelp, and he responded almost immediately, even though it was about 10 PM on a Saturday night! Ali quoted me an extremely reasonable price for the replacement part. (I had initially checked into extending my warranty with DELL, but the price was triple Ali's quote, and I'm pretty sure my laptop's pre-existing condition would have been excluded). Ali did a great job fixing the hinge on my laptop. In addition, he came to my house to pick it up, fixed it in his shop, and returned it to me! I don't know that he includes pickup and delivery services in all cases - I may have gotten lucky - perhaps he was going past my neighborhood already. Ali did an awesome job fixing an old iMac for me. He had great communication with me through yelp, trying to help me even before I booked his services. He found a used power supply for me and replaced it and now it is working perfectly. He picked up my computer from me and dropped it back off, masked and socially distanced due to COVID. After having spent $200.00 trying to get my laptop fixed by a big box store to have them say I would have to order a part myself and gave me the wrong part number, I was wary. I initially found Ali early this year (2014) while looking computer repair services on yelp. (to start with, I know a decent bit about computer myself (engineer + software programmer), so I could at least get a fair assessment of his skills with computers) anyways, my laptop had overheating issues . I found some services which charged on hourly basis as they will come to your home and do the repairs. Their quote price was very unreasonable . Then I found Ali's service. I called him and discussed the laptop's heating issues. He was very forthcoming and charged a reasonable fee for his services. He cleaned the dirt in my fan, replaced the thermal paste and returned a smooth running machine. I found him very trustworthy . I have used his help twice since then. broken laptop screen on two occasions and have taken help of Ali to replace it. (Sony E series laptop). He was very prompt with his response and answered all of my questions to the best of his knowledge. from what i had gathered through my online searches before I had called, his quotes reflected the true prices of hardware on ebay/amazon, and was really charging my only for his labor. Ali was very responsive and available. I was able to bring him my computer outside of hours and it was on a weekend! He was able to have my computer back to me in less than one week. It likely would have been sooner if my computer issue had been something in the software, but parts of my actual laptop were broken to the point that I could not close my laptop, so he had to order a part. I came to Ali with a newly built gaming PC that seemed to have a part DOA. I called him mid Sunday morning and he was able to see me literally 15 minutes later. Met him with the system, both of us masked up, and he did a pretty thorough but fairly quick diagnosis of the issue I had talked about over the phone. Fortunately it was a super simple fix of me not seeing an extra cable that needed to connect into the power unit that I had probably missed after the marathon of putting the machine together a couple of days beforehand. He not only fixed that issue, but touched up a couple other issues such as RAM placement I had misread, as well as recommending placement for the graphics card and getting the drives all set up. He did all of this while explaining what he was doing, and steps to walk through, that way he's not just rustling around inside the computer leaving you in the dark about what to do should an issue arise again. The price he also charged me is beyond fair, I wanted to pay him more! He deserves more! Before you go to that 3 1/2 star PC Repair place over in the strip mall by your house that'll charge you $100+ just to get your system on the table for a diagnostic, let alone a repair, call Ali. Each time I was able to set up an appointment quickly, and Ali was good about returning calls & texts timely.
