I went into this tailor by myself (young girl) and had the owner barge into the fitting room as he…read moreknocked with zero question of it I was clothed or not (I was not. and received zero apology.) and then used the excuse a customer needed their sweatshirt from the fitting room after he had told me to go into the room and change into the clothing I was having altered. He never asked if I could hand it to him through the door or anything and just came in. I felt disgusted and after he marked the gown, I had decided I would not be giving this man a single penny and told them I was not interested anymore - the woman working there then took the dress and "ironed" off the markings leaving discolored marks. Would not recommend for women or children or anyone getting an expensive wedding/prom dress altered! Side note: I visited another tailor down the road and they did it perfectly and said the markings he had put were very off from how they should be for the style of the dress (supposed to have a ruched texture in the front.) EDIT: he also told me he was ironing it off because i looked like I would basically take advantage of his time in marking and do it myself (i know nothing about clothing and i just wanted my prom dress shortened.)

I brought in a vintage leather wool lined bomber style coat I purchased at a vintage clothing shop in England. It was stored in a damp environment, was musty smelling, and needed the zipper replaced. Lee did an excellent job with the cleaning and the zipper replacement which ended up costing him more than he anticipated but he stood behind his original quote. Lee and the Sunshine Cleaners team will have all of my cleaning business from now on, thank you for your quality work and service.

On June 10, 2025, I picked them up and found they were all damaged. Z Zegna Jacket: Returned with two holes, one in the wool knit and one on the shoulder. Loulou Studio Coat: Returned with widespread discoloration across the fabric. Faux Fur Jacket: Returned with the fur severely matted and coarse. The items were in good condition when dropped off. The owner denied responsibility for the damage. I sent a formal demand letter via USPS Certified Mail on Jun 20, 2025, requesting a refund and compensation for the documented value of the destroyed items. The business received the letter on Jun 24, 2025, but did not respond by the 15-business-day deadline. Due to the damage to my property and the business's refusal to resolve the matter, I have filed formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Michigan Attorney General's Office. I would advise other customers to be cautious when entrusting valuable items to this establishment.
