So, everytime I've been here. It's taken 30 minutes at the drive-thru window. That takes the convenience right out of it. Whether there's no cars, one car or 2. If there's more...good luck. With every order I ask for Carrots and peppers. 1 time out of 7 visits did that actually happen. Tonight I mentioned to the gal. To member the Carrots...you forgot them last time. She made a lame excuse that they didn't have them last time. Like she remembered me on that day 3 weeks ago. They NEVER remember the Carrots or the hot sauce they ask you if you want. Tonight I ordered a taco salad with chicken instead and extra sour cream on the salad. With 3 mentions of the jalapeños and carrots. Got home after the one item 30 minute window wait only to find no peppers or carrots and 2 sour creams and a guacamole in separate containers. I'm done. This place sucks. The gal at the window has never listened to me about any part of what I asked for. 1 item was 20.00. I gave her 2 extra bucks and the change from the order in the tip jar. Thinking she was on the same page....finally ?? No luck. So I drive a city bus in town and my dissatisfaction is past along to people at my work and in the bus. But when we tried to go through the drive through, we sat there for ten minutes while the person in front of us and the gentleman at the window had a full on conversation. Arms flying talking laughing the whole time. They had their food, because when we started backing out, he signaled for us to come on up, and that's when the person in front of us left. So bottom line is, I will go back, but I will never do their drive through again. If I don't feel like getting out, I won't go there. Rating would have been a 4 or 5 easy, their drive through only gets a one, if even that! read more

I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito at 10:00 am. It wasn't busy but still didn't receive the food until 10:15. Once I began eating the food I realized they gave me a bacon/egg/potato/cheese burrito. Pretty embarrassing since the guy even said "chorizo burrito" as he handed it to me. read more

So I'm going to try to forget I'm a nice guy and just give a good honest review here. My sister and I are fiends for Bandidos down the street and have eaten there probably 8 times in the last 2 weeks lol. Unfortunately they're closed on Sunday so we decided to try this place as we'd heard about but never eaten here, so here goes. There was only customer in the store who appeared to be a regular and was talking to the cashier but he still put my sister and I first and came to help us immediately so that was good. He was also helpful about the menu items but the customer mentioned the tacos here are the best so I decided to try those while my sister had her regular cheese enchilada with no onions. We both love the tacos and enchiladas from Bandidos so these were going to have to be great to beat that lol. We did our order to go, so I'm not sure how my sister liked her enchilada as I live down the road from her but I'll speak for my tacos. 1. The first thing I noticed when I opened the box at home was there was no cheese I have to have cheese on everything so that was a bummer. 2. The Salsa choices were Red and Green and that's it. The red isn't really salsa so much as hot sauce. I like hot sauce too but I wanted mild salsa today so that was a bummer, too. The Green Salsa was also very thin, they didn't appear to be fresh made like Bandidos every day, but they were ok. Also they're jalapeños appeared to have been there a very long time. Those were my only two criticisms really. The tacos were very good despite the lack of cheese, but I still like my Bandidos better. The chips were hot and spicy as advertised, but like I said I think their salsa was actually Cholula lol. I give 3/5 stars as the meal was good, but didn't really blow me away. I would probably eat here again if my Bandidos was closed, but not sure if I would on a regular basis. read more

We were given a number and asked to park and wait for our food to be delivered to us. Great! Except, we waited a long time (20 -30 min). I called to order for pick up. After looking at the "menu" on their website, I decided on Birria tacos, which I was told were not available at this location. So I changed to a carne asada taco combo, and also a chile relleno burrito. I told the young woman that I wanted the Chile Relleno burrito "Pinetop Style", which is what the owner calls it when I have ordered it in the past. At the Show Low location, they put rice inside the chile relleno burrito, but I like mine with pico and guacamole, no rice, which the owner has told me is "Pinetop Style". When I told the young lady this, she said, "oh that's how we make it anyway". Well, when my husband arrived home with the food, it was not made the way I requested. It was filled with rice. NO PICO and NO GUACAMOLE as I requested. The carne asada tacos were dry and the taco shells were soft and falling apart, not crunchy, which is the way a taco should be. All told, I haven't been to the Show Low Aliberto's in over a year, and I would have to say that it will be more than another year before I will give it a try again. So disappointed. read more

And the truth is I walked into Aliberto's today very cordially, respectfully, and excited like I always am, and I asked the gentleman behind the counter does he have green chili chicken that he could put over rice in like a bowl. Also beans and he says yes, and I said it's chunks of chicken correct? And he said yes. So I ordered two orders to go. When I get back to the office and we opened it up I realized I was totally lied too. I'm sure he thought because I am Caucasian that I have no clue what Mexican food is, but what he didn't understand is I've been married for over 30 years to a Mexican woman from Guadalajara. My Children are half Mexican. I know Mexican food as well as he does. But because of my respect and love for Mexican people I didn't think he would lie to me or play me like some stupid gringo!! So I called him back and a lady answered and then he came on the phone, and I told him he knows what I ordered and he says we don't have that, so I said why didn't you tell me that when I was in the restaurant? So I told him that I didn't like whatever this was he gave me, but he basically said yeah that I ordered it, so eat it! I know one thing and I spend a lot of money when it comes to eating out especially Mexican food. I had a pleasant experience here with my dad. It was late when we swung by the counter lady was pleasant and chatty and explained much of the menu items. My dad took a California Burrito and I took a Chile Relleno one. They were good and held together, which is a compliment to the tortilla. They had some sauces and little bags with onions/pepper/carrots to enjoy. Strange little building next to a hotel, you'd barely know it was one of those fast-food Mex places at first glance. It looks like an old diner, which is probably because it is an old diner. Getting to the bathroom involves going through the kitchen. Pretty odd. Check out the very old looking motel lobby next door. They have really gone down hill. Use to be the best place to eat. 3 Times i have gotten burnt fish. And when i question it the older woman yelled at me that they do not burn the fish, that i did not know what i was talking about.
