    Large horchata
    Alan B.

Found a new locally owned business, seen a previous review and wanted to try it. Don't judge a book by its cover.. it's not a brand spanking new building but the food here took me by surprise! I ordered a large horchata, 3 x asada street tacos, chicken quesadillas, and caramel filled churros. I ate the tacos there, they have a little bar that has peppers, salsa mild and hot, and a couple other little things you'd put on your tacos. The mild sauce tasted great and it was legit mild. I tried a quesadilla and shockingly they weren't heavy and greasy tasting, which is awesome! I enjoyed their taste. The tacos were awesome, but i'm a sweets guy.. the horchata was good but the churros weren't as sweet as expected. I could be wrong, my taste buds could be affected by the salsa and lime. But I'll definitely return, these tacos were good!!

We just tried Taco and I. My husband got the the street tacos with asada and barbacoa and I got a barbacoa quesadilla along with their cup of corn (elote). It was all very delicious. The street tacos came with a cup of charro beans that were amazing as well. Service was friendly and personable. Restaurant was clean. Great location on the Main Street. We will be back for more! Sorry we didn't get a picture of the food. We gobbled it down too quickly Edit to add: we ended up getting a churro for dessert with caramel and fudge. Delicious as well!

Great street tacos! Yes it's another Mexican restaurant in town, but this one has unique flavors! Best pastor tacos I've had in a long time.

Azteca: Where My Stomach Says 'Me Gusta!'…read more We've been to El Azteca a handful of times now, and it's truly one of our go-to spots for Mexican food. We usually stop by after church, and it never disappoints. Our latest orders were the Carne Asada and the Texano Fajitas--both so flavorful, and the servings are just right. We have to ask to-go boxes after. The ambience is really nice--clean, cozy, and I've always loved their booth seating. The staff is always welcoming and friendly the moment we walk in. And yes, they serve freshly cooked chips right away (always a plus for me!) along with their perfect salsa. My husband and I both love Horchata, and we never skip ordering each of us a big glass of that creamy cinnamon goodness. We've also tried their Camarones a la Crema--shrimp sautéed with mushrooms in a creamy sour cream sauce. Rich, comforting, and perfect with the rice and refried beans on the side. Their fajitas for two with steak come out sizzling, exactly how fajitas should. The flavor is on point, and honestly, it could feed more than just two people. The chorizo and eggs always hit the spot, and the enchilada suiza with egg and green sauce is another favorite. It is simple, comforting, and solid every time. Always a great experience here, and we'll definitely keep coming back.

We tried every restaurant in the area and Azteca is our favorite. Los Corrales is good but inconsistent. El Azteca is always fresh and perfectly cooked. The margaritas are also very good. I order chicken fajitas mostly and the meat is always fresh and very tender. The lunch servings are enormous and much less expensive than others. Miguel, the server, is always busy but takes the time to serve properly.

We were highly disappointed with our visit to Licano's. As out-of-towners and vegetarians, we were…read morealready trying to carefully navigate the menu, but the experience was made much harder by inattentive service and a lack of menu knowledge from our server. She repeatedly had to go to the back to ask basic questions, and each time she left, she would get sidetracked helping other tables and take a very long time to return. That made the whole ordering process feel drawn out and frustrating. We were told that the green corn tamale, which is apparently usually meat-free, was made with pork lard. She mentioned it was in the green chili, though it sounded like she may have meant the masa itself was made with lard. Either way, it was disappointing and made the menu feel even more limited. What really stood out in a negative way was being told, "Usually when I have vegetarian customers, they just eat a salad." That did not make us feel welcomed at all. It made us feel like an inconvenience instead of paying customers trying to find something suitable to eat. We ended up sharing a quesadilla with a side of whole beans, and my wife ordered the veggie fajitas, which I had not even noticed on the menu since I only saw protein-based fajita options listed. The food was okay, but only because sautéed vegetables are hard to mess up, and that is essentially what my wife received. Overall, it was not a great experience. Going out to eat should not leave you feeling like a burden to the wait staff. I have worked in customer service for over 30 years, and making guests feel welcome is not that difficult. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here.

I don't know how the cashier managed to serve so many people in line while answering the phone and taking orders to go as well! She was amazing! My brother got tacos that Cabeza , they looked delish!! My hubby got the Birria tacos and he loved them! He's a chef so he's picky, but they were very good! My 94 yr old dad asked for an enchilada combo so we asked if the sauce is very spicy and the cashier suggested she would put the sauce separately in a little container so he could taste it for himself, which I thought was a brilliant idea!. I had the taco and enchilada combo and it was very good. Their rice is very flavorful and their beans are definitely homemade! I'm Hispanic and I totally can tell the difference between canned beans and homemade beans! We will definitely be back next time we're in the area! Unfortunately, we were so hungry that we started eating and I forgot to take pictures! But check out the pictures on their website or the yelp page. Very delicious! And they have free self serve chips and salsa, which are also very good! Highly recommend this place if you're craving great Mexican food at a very reasonable price! The ambience was great only because it was bustling with lots of business!

The problem I have is that it's always been FILTHY. There's a standard in restaurants, if the customer area of the restaurant is a pig sty, then the kitchen will be at least twice as bad. I've never been in this place when it was clean. Always trash, garbage and food on the floor. Never a clean table. It's one of those "Clean your own table with whatever you can find to wipe it down" type establishments. How this place passes Health Inspection, is a big mystery. Someone in the Health Dept is getting kick backs. Check it out! It's nasty.
