    Shredded beef taco meal

Staff was very friendly and sat our large group quickly. We got the mini tacos with carne asada, shredded beef taco combos, and the fajitas. Everything was excellent. Highly recommend!

Azteca: Where My Stomach Says 'Me Gusta!' We've been to El Azteca a handful of times now, and it's truly one of our go-to spots for Mexican food. We usually stop by after church, and it never disappoints. Our latest orders were the Carne Asada and the Texano Fajitas--both so flavorful, and the servings are just right. We have to ask to-go boxes after. The ambience is really nice--clean, cozy, and I've always loved their booth seating. The staff is always welcoming and friendly the moment we walk in. And yes, they serve freshly cooked chips right away (always a plus for me!) along with their perfect salsa. My husband and I both love Horchata, and we never skip ordering each of us a big glass of that creamy cinnamon goodness. We've also tried their Camarones a la Crema--shrimp sautéed with mushrooms in a creamy sour cream sauce. Rich, comforting, and perfect with the rice and refried beans on the side. Their fajitas for two with steak come out sizzling, exactly how fajitas should. The flavor is on point, and honestly, it could feed more than just two people. The chorizo and eggs always hit the spot, and the enchilada suiza with egg and green sauce is another favorite. It is simple, comforting, and solid every time. Always a great experience here, and we'll definitely keep coming back.

Cozy family kind of place. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. Big , crunchy basket of chips and bowl of salsa. Not hot or spicy, chunky tomato and lots of cilantro. Wife ordered the fish tacos combo, I had to try the 3 item . Fish tacos not impressive. To me, fish did not taste in its prime. Supposed to be mahi mahi, a bit tough & chewy. On the other hand, we both liked the beans & rice. My tamale was mediocre but the chile relleno was excellent! Gave the beef flauta to my wife to sub for the fish tacos. Overall, filling, satisfying meal in a nice place with nice staff. Prices are the usual, kinda high! The option is eating at home, and we're on VACATION!

Mixed review for this restaurant. We had good service, which was prompt and courteous. Everything was very clean and the decorations were fun. Parking is on the back side of the building and we were seated right away. It was about half filled in the evening. We would give five stars for the service and atmosphere, but only three stars for the food. Hence, an overall four-star review. All of us felt that our food was a bit overcooked and oily. It was a little bit on the bland side.

We definitely weren't sure about this place when we pulled up. There weren't any cars in the parking lot maybe 4. But looks are definitely deceiving! We had delicious chips and salsa, carne asada and the enchiladas. We are so happy we went in and tried the food

Looking for that Mexican restaurant that gives you the smells and fell of being on vacation in Mexico look no further. The staff were polite and knowledgeable about their menu. The beer was cold and had many options for margaritas. The portions are large so we ended up splitting a meal and had food left over. The chips and salsa were on point for us just enough heat to let you know it's salsa but not too hot. Will eat here again when back in town.

Best Mexican food I've had in a really long time. The prices are fair and overall the quality, service and pricing is the best value in the area. The chips and salsa are homemade and delicious. The food was cooked perfectly. 100% recommend to anyone.

4-25-25 4.6 stars I live in Las Vegas and visit Show Low twice per year. I had the Chimichanga lunch special, with an Iced Tea. Your lunch starts with a large serving of Tortilla chips and Salsa; very tasty! I have included a picture of the lunch Chimichanga. The meal includes rice and beans. To dress your Chimichanga they provide Guacamole and Sour cream. Be sure to ask for the Hot sauce to spice up your meal Very tasty and filling meal. You might have to ask for a doggy bag? I definitely recommend this restaurant. Good value, good food, good service.

Nacho supreme with shredded beef on the side

We got the nacho supreme with shredded beef on the side and it was amazing. The service was great. The food was great. The price was great.

First time here and the food was amazing!! Mexican lunch buffet too? Yes please! Green enchilada sauce is really really really good. I asked for it to be spicy and they delivered! Margaritas OK. The vibe felt a little more family vibe, very low music, small, quiet, little weird vibe at the bar, needs to be a little more upbeat. Also the spicy salsa wasn't spicy but that's typical in this area.

Great service and delicious big portion food. I ordered the Ribeye and it was soft and delicious flavor but it wasn't a ribeye steak, more of a cheap cut of meat. Overall good food

We have been to El Azteca restaurant three times now and live not too far away. We've decided that this is our FAVORITE go-to restaurant for happy hour and really excellent Mexican food! Miguel is the owner and the whole staff is accommodating and wonderful. Service is super. Here is a picture of our happy hour tonight with Mexican pizza. Two ice cold beers and sitting on the patio. Great all around. Highly recommend!

Very good service à la cart or on the buffet. Food was 8/10 which is very good for a buffet.

Ask the Community - El Azteca Family Restaurant

Can dogs go on the patio?

There are no signs stating 'No Dogs Allowed'; therefore, one can presume that well behaved dogs are allowed on the patio.

Do they take credit cards or is it cash only?

They take credit cards, but El Charro in Pinetop is much better

All I…read morewant to do sometimes is go to somewhere with standards yet also simple (in the best use of the word). I ordered the hamburger with lettuce, tomato and cheese and a side of seasoned fries. I wanted a medium-well, and although it was closer to a well-done, the taste was still excellent and the extras made it all better. The fries were definitely seasoned, it's a very peppery seasoning (and they went a little crazy with the amount) but it was pretty delicious. Another plus is that the portions are very large, I've never left Cattlemen's feeling less than satisfied. Usually, Cattlemen's has very good service... not for me unfortunately. I had to wait about 5 to be seated (totally normal) but I was seated and just ignored for a long time, the waiters/waitresses kept getting mixed up on my things (except for Sam, he was great) and it took a while for things I asked for (like a water) to show up. It's totally fine, not a deal-breaker for me but not the usual five star Cattlemen's experience. Inside is great. I don't know why, but I had never seen the gallery, and inside was a handful of artwork, averaging around $150 - $200 per work. The restaurant is clean and comfortable in many ways, and that's really nice to come to after a long day. To sum it all up, Cattlemen's is a great steakhouse and burger restaurant for anyone's tastes. I think this time was just a one-off and I look forward to coming here again. Thank you.

What can I say that has not been said before ? Wife and I started coming here about 9 years ago,…read morewhen we finally became permanent residents, we walked in and the decor had changed, did not have the previous White Mountains "feel" . The "New" Cattlemen's experience , begun as soon as we walked in, sat down, order drinks and of course the bread, 15 minutes later, no drinks ,no bread, so we asked and they were delivered. A second person asked for our drink order, we informed him we had. drinks arrived with bread , that's it! no cutlery no straws!. Now for the "meal" I was ready for an end cut prime rib, medium , I could swear I could see the meat moving , it was so rare and spices must be a request I guess. Wife's 8 ounce sirloin was, medium charcoal ( was sent back) in exchange she receive a cold medium rare served on plate which could serve as a hub cap for 65 Cadillac with a "loaded" potato about 3 inches in length and about same in circumference salads ? had better flying economy on American Airlines. We had to kidnap a waitress to get a drink refill , tables next to us seem to have no problems, maybe friends of the owner (more on that!) We ate what we could and decided to speak with the managers, maybe he was not aware of the problems. We hit the jackpot! We were introduced to the most self-center person who identified as the owner, proceeded to tell us how we did not know what we were talking about, how he had been running restaurants,,,,, also threw workers currently working at Charlie Clark's under the bus,. from what I hear, this the norm,

Our food was correct (thus 2 stars - one for our chicken and one for our fries) but the wait was excessive (15 minutes) and I wanted a concrete and was debating with my husband on the size and opted for a small (we had this discussion in front of Madelyn) and after looking at the menu I ordered a "small concrete in the flavor of the day" and she placed my order without questions. My husband ordered a small chocolate concrete with Reese's PB cups but asked for them not to put too many in. After our 15 minute wait we were given a small chocolate concrete and a super tiny FOD concrete. I reminded her I ordered a small and she said it only came in that size. I said I wish she would've told me that when I ordered it. We didn't have time to wait to have it remade. It was supposed to be a chocolate and caramel concrete but there was no caramel on it so I asked if they could at least put that on it. When we got to the car I looked at my receipt and my concrete that was about 1/4 of my husband's small was $4.09! A small was $6.29. It gets worse: after asking for "not a lot of PB cups" he got ZERO. Sadly we did not realize this until we were a few miles out of town. My recommendations: if you are in a hurry go elsewhere and clarify what you are ordering and what you get. I think we'll just try somewhere else.
