Stopped here on our final day of our girls trip to make a take home souvenir and was very pleased with our experience. We went as soon as they opened around 11am so there was no wait. They have an expansive array of patches and hats to choose from. You are able to try on the hats and take your patches before they are pressed on. Staff was friendly and provided great recommendations of other areas to visit. The store was clean and organized.

Wifey copped a hat here while in Chicago. The store was super busy with customers. The service by team members was great, they work as a team really well. The press on patches to apply to hats were all six dollars a piece. Cool store to visit while exploring Chicago.

This store was cute . I expected to pay a pretty penny based on the research that I heard about the store so I knew what to expect. When entering there is someone there to greet you at the front door. The store isn't that big but it's enough room to get what you need to get done. They have a fitting room downstairs. There's a big variety of hats to choose from along with the iron on patches. My one gripe is that I just wish there were a bit more variety with the iron on patches.

IF I COULD GIVE 6 STARS I WOULD! The staff, the creativity behind the TikTok moment that brought me to them, etc. etc. Nothing was missed in this store. I would love to come back to Alice & Wonder when I return to the city. The hat creativity was endless within myself but nearly doubled when I was speaking to the cashier. She was great! & even left me with great food recommendations. Loveddd this location!

This hat bar is truly a unique concept. Whether you are a Chicago local or have traveled afar these hats make great gifts and souvenirs. The store was super crowded and the line was a bit hard to navigate. Eventually, one line becomes two. One line is to choose your hat style and color. The other line is to customize your hat by choosing patches that reflect your personality. As the line moved along, my friend and I began conversations with others. We met people from Atlanta, Ohio, San Francisco, South Carolina and of course, Chicago. Most said they heard of Alice and Wonder from Tick Tock and were excited to visit. The employees all had very good energy and were happy to help or answer any questions. My patches included a smily face, pink heart, espresso martini, cherries and a sign that says 'always a good idea.' This store also sells t-shirts, sweat shirts, dresses, baby clothes, and posters. Hats are 32$ and each patch starts at 6$ each.

Alice & Wonder has become a must stop when in Chicago. They always have a selection of boutique style clothing and Chicago sweaters and shirts that are nice quality. They now have a hat bar where you pick a hat, then they have a giant selection of patches where you design the hat and then they use a machine to adhere the patches while you wait. My daughter and I had super fun designing hats. A very short walk off of Michigan Ave and makes for a collectible souvenir.

Went here for the hat bar and was sooooo impressed with this shop. Not only do they have the hats but they have such cute Chicago stuff and other boutique items. Also the hat process was so fast! Each person checking you out has their own machine to create the hat so it was so so fast and I was very happy with the hat and the experience!

I would say this is a nice establishment but be aware it's really small. I probably should've went as soon as they opened to beat the foot traffic. Because it was so tight I dont feel like I truly got to think about what I put on my hat. Everyone was just scattering around the hats and the patches. The hats are about 30 bucks & each patch is 6 dollars each. I do think thats a bit pricey honestly but overall worth it. As I checked out the staff was great, make sure you have card because they do not take cash.

Alice and Wonder was recommended to me by a local as a place where I could get cute Chicago keepsakes that didn't scream souvenir shop. Locals come here for woman's clothing and for hats. Apparently they have cute Chicago themed patterns that you can custom embroider on hats that they sell. At least twenty people were in line for this process and it looked really cool. I was able to find some things to bring home for my wife. Got some cute Chicago socks and a hair clip. When they rang me up, they nicely wrapped it and put it in a cute Chicago tote. Totes awesome. My wife will love that. This can be found on state street less than a half mile from the river

this place is really cool and i saw it on tiktok so i decided to check it out but it was super pricey. if you want the hat experience make sure you go ahead of time since someone was out there taking names! I think the hat on its own 30 dollars and for each patch its around 6 dollars so be prepared ahead of time!!

Alice & Wonder is a Chicago attraction that is trending all over social media. I had this on my itinerary for my Chitown trip. Upon arrival last Saturday, the shop was p-a-c-k-e-d! By the entrance, there was an employee checking in guests for the hat patching. They instructed us to scan the QR code & then we'd be added to the wait list. We were at least 40th in line. We had another reservation booked that conflicted, so we canceled our place in line & decided to go on Sunday morning around 11AM. We got added to the list & were 18th in line. In the meantime we went to Ralph's coffee. Once we were 8th in line, we made our way back. When we got there, there were several young ladies in the patch section which was roped off. It was very crowded. There was a decent variety of hats to choose from. The patch options could've been better, I did like the Chicago options though. The process to tape the patches on the hat was fun to do. Very arts & crafty. The cost for the hat & patches was a little costly, but, since it was the store's 10th anniversary, there was a 15% discount. The cost for my hat & patches was about $65. This was a fun activity to do & my hat is a nice personalized souvenir of my Chicago trip. My complaints would be the long wait times, & the cost.

Cute clothing store with fashionable pieces and all things Chicago. Stopped by while visiting home for their hat patch bar. They have several Chicago hats and patches to choose from. You can place the patches on the hat yourself or allow them to place it for you. However, you aren't pressing the hat yourself, they will press it. Customer service was amazing! I was assisted every step of the way and didnt feel rushed. Since I missed home so much, I almost left with the whole store but settled for socks and patched hat. I did suggest they add 773 patches to the bar.

This is the third location. This location has a hat patch bar, where you can pick unique patches made and designed in-house for a hat of your choice. The staff and service are superb.

I had to visit after seeing it on TikTok, especially for the Blackhawks collab ahead of the Winter Classic.

We were shocked, confused, and honestly embarrassed, in public for something we didn't do. They didn't ask politely or explain anything. They just assumed. No proof. No apology. nothing We cooperated and showed them we had nothing, and instead of admitting their mistake, they gave us attitude and let us go like we were guilty. This kind of treatment is completely unacceptable, especially when you treat young customers like criminals just because we're teens or don't "look" like your usual shoppers. We came to shop, not to be profiled or harassed. I will not be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone who values basic respect.

She is on the phone. "Hi, may I take a quick picture?"…read moreI asked politely. The lady responded, "no photo, goodbye." While this short poem pretty much sums up my 30-second visit at Oriental Boutique, it is also an acrostic that describes the lady's attitude and the service. I was looking for a traditional Chinese dress (i.e. Qi Pao) for my girlfriend, whom I am going to marry. However, most of the designs cater to kids or tourists (that might explain why most positive reviews were written by non-Asian customers... just saying!) and very few of them are for adults. As someone who grew up in an ethnically Chinese background, I had seen and worn more culturally authentic and better designed traditional gowns and dresses. Many designs displayed in the store seem "oriental" in a western sense or as in what westerners think "oriental" should look like, but this is just my subjective observation and honest opinion. The lady was on the phone all the time, and when I asked her question, she literally answered, "no photo, goodbye." Okay. BYE. NEVER AGAIN! Wish I could have given a zero or a negative number.
