Ponti, the owner, made this birthday so special for our 6 year old and all her friends. From the beginning he was so easy to work with and very communicative. Ponti has kids birthday parties down to a science with different activities planned out that all the kids loved! Him and his team handled it all while we got to relax and chat with other parents. On top of that, we didn't have to worry about goodie bags because all the kids went home with a couple pieces of glow in the dark art that they made. There was a separate, and massive, room for food and drinks so when cake cutting came around it was so easy. Also he made setting up and packing up so easy. If you're looking for something different and special for your kid's birthday, I can't highly recommend Art Rebel Studio enough!

My son attended two days of the camp for kids. It smelled strongly of cigarettes inside for the…read morefirst hour. My son's aide (my son is disabled) said it could have been a casino given the smell. This was true for the two days he attended. We won't be finishing the week despite paying for it. Pretty sure smoking inside that building is illegal and definitely shouldn't be allowed right before kids come in. The instructor also left the room entirely several times for 15-20 min. While my son's aide was there, he is not an employee of the camp and should not be responsible for the other children present. Besides those issues, the camp itself was very underwhelming with minimal activities planned beyond drawing. We have done art camps at half the cost that put much more thought into it and didn't lead to lung damage from smoke inhalation.

I definitely did not come into the classes feeling like an artist but have gained confidence and skills. One of the things that stands out most is the incredible team of teachers. We've worked with several of them, and every single one is extremely knowledgeable, supportive, and talented at making art accessible for any level. Whether teaching kids or adults, they have a unique ability to meet you where you are and help you grow. As a family, we've explored so many different mediums--colored pencils, oil pastels, watercolors, acrylics--and we're excited to be starting oil painting soon. It's been amazing to not only try new techniques but to see real improvement in our skills over time. Sara, the studio owner, has been especially wonderful. She's incredibly generous with her time and has worked closely with us as adults to create a personalized plan aligned with our goal of making artwork for our home. I came here for a friend's birthday party and I had an absolute blast! My friend was able to set up…read morea three hour time period where we work on a 12"x12" rug. (Prior to the party, our hosts asks us to send her our design where the Tutu Fun crew reviews and examines it.) When I arrived to the studio part of the shop, our canvases are all set up in our workstations. There is a tutorial in the beginning where we are taught safety rules and how to work the tufting gun. I came to the party late but managed to get the party late but managed to finish my piece in the remainder 2 hours after going through the tutorial. Lily and Laura (or Lore? I apologize but I may have heard her name wrong) were THEEE best instructors. I managed to pick up the lesson pretty well but they were great at assisting, answering questions, checking our work and giving advice, and finishing our 10 pieces so we all didn't have to come back to pick it up. I had sooooo much fun and the feeling of joy is indescribable with bringing my mini rug home. There are so many crafts available that it is making me want to come back to try them all. Tutu Fun is a great way to try all the crafts, relax, get creative without breaking the bank in getting new supplies preemptively.

She immediately understood what we were looking for and assured me that she could meet Cooper where he is and help nurture his passion for music. After an in-person consultation, the rest was history! Linda's passion and incredible talent are clear from the start. In just a few months, Cooper's technique, posture, and confidence have improved immensely. Linda has introduced him to a wide range of music--from classical to jazz, contemporary, and even new age. Cooper is loving it all. He now plays during Chapel at school and is excited to join a musical ensemble in high school. This past Saturday I had a Sewing class, signed up through Renaissance Club. The reason I was…read moreexcited for the class is that I have a wrist issue and it's hard to use my fingers, so sewing by hand is getting cumbersome to fix things and I was excited to learn how to use a sewing machine. On arrival I parked on the street which is 2 hour street parking and walked up to the door, only 5 minutes before 4pm which was the start of the class and I rang the doorbell. I was greeted at the door by someone who said I have to wait outside and they will unlock the door at 4pm. I thought this was strange but I said ok and went to wait in my car because it's so hot and humid outside I did not want to just stand outside. At 1 minute to 4 I got back out of my car and saw people were already inside and the door was once again locked so I had to ring the doorbell again. I personally feel this door lock policy is strange, but perhaps the area isn't safe so maybe they are protecting themselves from anybody just walking in but it feels impersonable. Upon entering I was directed immediately to wash my hands, as was everyone else, which is a good policy I like it that they want everyone to have clean hands before beginning. Our class of 4 was going to learn how to make a pillow. We were asked to choose 5 pieces of cloth so I of course got excited when I saw sparkly ones and got all the ones that had sparkles and then the 5th didn't because there were no other variations with sparkles. Then we sat in front of the sewing machine and I remember feeling so overwhelmed looking at it that I couldn't imagine that I'm going to be able to learn. Well, if you feel like me, then have no fear, because the instructor was kind and thorough. She goes through the process twice while you watch, and the third time you do it yourself and then she has you repeat it 3 times to get muscle memory. This was quite effective and I got it fast, and now a few days later I was talking to a friend and I was able to verbalize to her what the steps were so I remember! First we did some practice stitches on some scraps, and then we got to sewing our cloth! For a few minutes I had a feeling like maybe my cloth will not look good together why did I choose these, but after they were sewn together it suddenly transformed into something that was meant to be. Despite different designs and colors, it just flows. After those 5 scraps are sewn together to make a square or rectangle, then you get to choose a larger cloth to use as the back of the pillow. After we sewed the whole pillow except for the hole to add stuffing, we then could stuff our pillows with as much filling as we want. Some want thicker pillows some like them softer. I have a thing where I hate when the corners of my pillows aren't all filled with stuffing, so I was horrified when right before sewing the rest of the pillow shut all my hard work to get all 4 corners perfectly filled with stuffing were removed because they pulled all the stuffing downwards to empty the top to sew the hole and then they shook it out to refluff the stuffing. But now that the pillow was sewn shut, I could no longer reach in to make the perfect corners. If I may give some advice, I think that pushing it down so drastically was too much, we could have still easily sewn that hole shut if we only pushed down the middle stuffing and left the corners stuffed in my opinion. I still until now keep fidgeting with it to try to get the corners filled back in the way I had it but what I may end up having to do is cut open the hole again to fix it and then reclose it. Overall an extremely fun class. I never thought I would have so much fun and a feeling of gratification after using a sewing machine. The stitches come out so beautifully perfect and so fast. I do hope to take some of the other classes, the 2nd class in the series would be to make a reversible bag, the 3rd class is pajama pants, and the 4th class in the series is a little kit bag. I really do want to take these classes especially the pajamas class. I love that they measured us in anticipation for the future so we know how much material we will need to make our pants.

I love the different themes they offer for each camp, it's always so engaging and they learn so much! The thing I love the most is it's not just a place that they practice art, Gassia will take the time to guide the kids to think things through as they are planning and improving each piece of art. The staff was…read moreattentive, everything was colorful and inspiring, and there were so many unique materials to create with. It truly felt like a magical creative space. Unfortunately, our visit today was a completely different experience. Most of the interesting craft supplies we remembered. fun stones, colorful glass gems, unique trinkets, ribbons , sparkly stuff and creative materials were gone. Instead, the crafting area was mostly filled with things like pipe cleaners, scraps, cardboard, paper clips, boxes, stickers and other everyday items that you could easily find at home and def not worth $50 an hour. We also noticed very young toddlers wandering around, banging on projects and breaking things, which made it difficult for older kids to enjoy the space and didn't feel very organized. It honestly felt like the studio had lost a lot of the creativity and magic that made us fall in love with it in the first place. I really hope they bring back the unique materials and imaginative atmosphere they used to have, because it was once such a special place
