They even have a rooftop which offers incredible views of the skyline and features several large sculptures, just bw aware that it's closed for winter. I took an hour and a half to get through it, and that's just taking a peak at the rooftop. I would say you could spend upwards of 2 hours here with little difficulty.

Every room was full of rare treasures carefully curated by the owner, being a deft artist, who understands how to create and how to collect with expertise. I found many things I loved and managed to purchase what I couldn't live without. The building is an 1800's masterpiece and every room is a world to explore. The owner David, gave me lots of personal insights and anecdotes on his inspirations that led to journeys, to creating, and finally to acquisition. There are many masterworks here from tribal African sculpture to European modern masters.There is something for everyone here truly. Go on your own journey there and find your favorites. Close to National on 2nd, and on the 19, 23, and Blue lines; also close to the 15 and Green Line.

The gallery displays an eclectic mix of creative works, which currently includes a number of multimedia pieces. One series plays with line art on looped video screens in a way that emphasizes seemingly random moments of action in a static fashion. Another trio of pieces contain exposed electronics and speakers, each one with a prominent button that dares you to push it. (Go ahead and do it -- you'll be rewarded!) A small bar in the center of the first floor offers bottled beer, wine, cocktails and sodas. Given how art can be.a conversation starter (and the creative works at Var will get you talking), this Gallery is a great alternative to a bar or coffee shop when meeting someone for a first date (or planning date night with that special someone who's been your first date for the last decade). I was impressed with the drawings of colleges and stadiums available by state. I loved the framed display with a diploma and the college/university drawing on top. I think I'm going to have to get that for both my bachelors and masters degree.
