They provide stencils and examples to guide you if you feel stuck, but there's also plenty of room to have fun with it. Centrally located downtown next to the 3rd Street Market Hall on Wisconsin Avenue, it's worth a walkthrough at the very least if you're in the area. Open Tuesday - Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. the rotating exhibits are done by students, faculty, staff and even alumni of the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. I visited when the After-Hours exhibit was on display, and I really enjoyed it. I was warmly greeted the moment I walked in and was left to enjoy the art to my hearts content. The art on display was thought-provoking and included a variety of artistic mediums. I especially enjoyed the hand-crafted goods available for purchase like homemade fishing lures ($50) and pendants with Wisco flare. Prices are on the higher end but keep in mind these are made by artists/hand-crafted. High quality and one of a kind! You can also purchase some of the work on display in case you fall in love with a piece and want to enjoy it forever. Great spot to enjoy a bit of Milwaukee's artistic side and celebrate local talent in an easy way!
