Saturday, January 18, 2025 11:30 AM Scheduled Appointment…read more MY REVIEW I left out of the dentist office around 1:50 PM today. I am still sitting here in the parking lot. He's an AMAZING dentist . This dentist has the PATIENCE OF A SAINT, especially having to deal with me and my anxieties. He did something that NO OTHER DENTIST has ever done for me. He took his time. He didn't try to rush the process. He talked me through. First he numbed my gums with topical anesthetic. Shortly thereafter he followed up with a needle injection with local anesthetic. Whenever and wherever I told him that I could feel the pinch or hit a nerve, he IMMEDIATELY provided me with additional local anesthetic. It got to a point where I NO LONGER COULD FEEL A THING. I settled in my seat and let him work. At 61 years old, this is the first real dentist visit that made me feel that he listened to me, he heard me, and he obliged me. He focused on my comfort. I was crying with all of the needle injections, but then the meaning of my tears changed from pain to joy as I realized that I was finally going to get through the dental service that I needed and I now have a dentist that I am going to stick with forever. I still can't feel the right side of my face, but the anesthetic is slowly but surely wearing off. I was given a couple of prescriptions for the pain, but I am going to go ahead and try to sleep through the pain without any medicine. I have a short visit with the dentist on Thursday and then I have another Saturday appointment for him to work on the left side of my mouth. The dentist mentioned those slightly loose teeth at the bottom front of my mouth. They were loose enough that if he removed 100% of the plaque between the teeth, he said that he was afraid that they would fall out. Thus, during my next procedure in February, he's going to create a type of splint to keep those slightly loose teeth stabilized while my gums begin to heal and get stronger. Ultimately, if everything goes as planned, I will KEEP ALL 32 OF MY TEETH. Heading to Smoothie King and then home. I don't think that I will be able to eat nothing but soft foods for a few days. This is a fairly expensive journey, but it's one that can yield an abundance of dividends. I'm finally going to have both my of daughter's smiles. But Dr. Ademola Adekola Jr., DDS (Dr. A) and his team were compassionate, transparent, and very accommodating, which made a huge difference for me. Today my wife called ahead and let the dentist practice know that she was running 15 minutes late for our daughter dentist appointment. The staff and dentist said that it was fine and come in to our appointment. When she arrived the dentist refused to see our daughter and wanted us to reschedule. There was no one waiting and she gave us prior confirmation to come on in for the appointment. When we conveyed these issues to the staff they were rude and dismissive. I have never been to a dentist office either security..........it is a big red light showing that their services create more harm than good. The experience at this office is enough to call the dental association file s police report a grievance with the insurance company and contact the health department. I repeat do your research because any dental office is better than this one. I didn't have a root canal as of yet, but they have my insurance Co money. I ask them to submit a corrected claim, they tell me they will get back to me.
