I had an erupted wisdom tooth pulled by Dr. Khalid. When he walked in his immediate reassurance made me feel at ease. He pulled my tooth in such a manner I didn't know he was finished. Dr. B was amazing. I love coming to this office . His assistant Delia is so friendly. Honesty the entire staff is friendly and professional. I have been to many dentist and Dr B was able to pull 2 wisdom teeth and root canal . Almost no swelling . Recovery was great . I am sorry to say that Dr. Patterson is retiring at the end of next month. I am currently waiting in the chair for one of his associates to look at and hopefully fill a cavity. It is 40 minutes past my appointment time and this particular dentist had me wait for him in the past. The last time he was meeting with a representative who sells supplies. I could hear them talking and laughing in the next room. I find it rude and off putting unless there is an emergency involved. I will be searching for a new dentist. Amazing dentist, clean office, great experience! Service: I absolutely loved my dentist, Dr. Marouf. I had been putting off going to the dentist for some time because I needed to get my wisdom teeth pulled. I was honestly shocked with how quick and painless the procedure was. I am very pleased with the entire experience. The front desk staff were also friendly. Office: The office was spacious and clean. I will say it was a bit of an older office, but it is well maintained and kept. Really easy street parking right in front too. A few weeks ago , I broke a wisdom tooth in the top on a Granny Smith Apple . I waited and hoped that it would get better . Sadly , the pain became excruciatingly unbearable, maybe the worst pain I've ever felt . I was terrified to visit the dentist in general because of needles , or anything else associated with dental work . However, I chose this neighborhood dentist and requested Dr . Patel ! She is Amazing ! Such a gentle spirit and the hygienists made me feel VERY Relaxed and comfortable . I had music , sunglasses and she allowed me to start / stop things according to my comfort level . Everything was explained to me step by step and that made this root canal experience more comfortable . I no longer fear the dentist and I'm so very grateful for Dr . Patel & the other ladies there ! I have a few more visits before the root canal is complete and my dental anxiety is gone and I feel a LOT more relaxed . I wish I had initiated my dental procedure much sooner ! read more

Irene Gula is an angel! I was probably her scariest patient to date. I mean I was terrified! My teeth were in bad condition due to my fear of the dentist for the past 5 years. I needed 2 root canals, 4 fillings, and a few extractions (I know right!). However, Dr. Gula was sooooooooo patient with me. I was hyper ventilating; indecisive with the root canals, etc.... She did not pressure me; she would always say "well whatever you want to do." After we (me and my fear) finally decided on a treatment plan, then she had to deal with getting me numb; project impossible number 2! Whenever she would shoot me with the needle she would say "it's ok, we are almost done" just like a sweet mother would comfort her child. Now, let me tell you, she is VERY LIBERAL with the Novocain! I didn't feel a thing! If I did feel a little something, she would stop, shoot me up again, and get back to work. Also, she numbs the tooth, and not just the gums. This makes a huge difference! Never once did she huff and puff, or say "u r to grown for this nonsense." Her body language is always kind (you know how some people don't say anything, but their body language speaks volumes) as well as her voice. Millie is the office manager; another angel sent from God! She will listen to you, tell you about her experience, and then comfort you. When I finally ran out of money (after 3,000 for dental work) they put me on a payment plan! No questions asked no credit checks etc... This would good because I didn't have to use my credit card, or over extend myself. I have been dealing with them for almost 2 years now, and let me tell u, I will never go anywhere else. The only sad part is when I am all the way done; I will not be able to see Dr Gula anymore! I thought she could do my cleanings, but they have a hygienist that does that part. In conclusion, (finally!) for me to have been a woman that was absolutely frozen with fear (to the point that I would deal with excruciating pain before going to the dentist,) to a woman who loooovvvesss the dentist is nothing short of a miracle. If you need a dentist go see Irene Gula! Lastly, she is pretty sharp to! She is polish, but she speaks English and Spanish as well!! :-) P.S. YOU HAVE TO GET IRENE GULA ONLY. She is the absolute best. I will not deal with anyone else but her. Tried another guy in there and he was the devil, straight from the depths of HELL!!! lol. read more

I've had the same dentist since I was 5 or 6 years old, up until my mid twenties, when my dentist retired. I tried out a few different dentists, and was really surprised by the great differences in attention and care delivered during these sessions (mostly for the worse). I then found Dr. Kim at Ivanhoe Dental in Riverdale. Dr. Kim has a great talent in putting patients at ease (even when there are drills spinning at 1,000 rpm inches from my teeth, eek!). I was treated with the upmost standard of care, and have found my new dentist for a long time to come. Note to Dr. Kim - please don't retire anytime soon! read more

"I'm very displeased" with Dr, Exrorphe work ethic. She took advantage of my child when I was unable to attend his dentist appointment with him. "DID NOT" appreciate her discussing information with him that was not his concern, regarding an discuss with me previous to his visit. Having the patient wait more than 2 hours for service an then direct the patient to another facility with no compassion of the pain he is in for 2 weeks prior to this visit. Now my child is still in unbearable pain for another week until we can look for another dentist group. FYI: watch out for hidden changes regarding you dental treatment plans and bills..... The reason why I went to Ivanhoe Dental is that I was having a Baaaad toothach. But when I got in there I saw Dr. Patterson he ask me if I was scare I said yes he said don't be scare we are going to take good care of you and that made me feel a little better. I lucked up on this dentistry after many dental horror stories. I have been in a dentist chair all my life. I am now 57 years young. My experiences started with work done at Loyola School of Dentistry at the age of 11 after losing my permanent front teeth. Throughout the years I've had excellent dentist. But in the recent 8 years, no such luck until meeting Dr. Gula. She represents excellent work ethics and great doctor "bedside manners". When evaluating the work neccessary, she truly listened to my concerns w/out taking egotistical defense. I told her my wishes for quality bridgework at an affordable price. I did not want my teeth looking like a beaver's, foremost because I model and act. My looks earn my living. Dr. Gula completed the work in good time, and I was sooo happy and amazed w/the remarkable results. Other dentist told me that they could not guarantee what my teeth would look like, I'd have to take whatever I got. Dr. Gula took her time, researched manufacturers, negotiated w/them to get quality teeth for me. She set up comfortable payment arrangements and never stressed me.
