Our precious girl…read moreseemed to enjoy her first appointment, we were told when picking her up that she did great and played with other dogs, etc.  Our 2nd appointment was 3/23/18 and when we arrived to pick our baby girl up we felt like we were rushed out the door. Karen offered no feedback except to ask in a snarky tone "is that cut short enough?!", directed to me, the mom. My husband had asked that our dog's fur be cut a little shorter since last time it was long enough in certain areas that urine was getting on it. (This was relayed to Karen's spouse prior t o the appointment, so maybe it was translated differently to her by him, but she seemed to have taken offense to the request.) Obviously she's a groomer and we are not, but communication would have been nice, not a snappy retort. My husband then tried to explain to her in person why he made the request, but she was in a "mood" and he could see it was going no where.  Once we got our dog home, she seemed very anxious (was not like that last time), and actually threw up twice while on a half hour walk.  :(   I had not met Karen in person until today and my first impression was not a positive one. I wish my baby girl could talk so she could tell me if Karen took out her offense on her! It certainly appears that way! We will not be returning and will pray for Karen to be more aware of the way she comes across and if she has a need to discuss a customer's request to address it promptly and in a professional manner (and not carry the attitude all day!)  Will NOT be recommending this place, Not Ever!

I toured All Dogs Gym because I was looking for a daycare where my dogs could spend the day…read moresocializing and playing with other dogs. The facility was clean, and the staff were friendly. However, I was very surprised when I asked what a typical full daycare day actually looks like. I was told the dogs play for about 1 1/2 hours in the morning, are then crated for approximately 3 hours, play another 1 1/2 hours in the afternoon, and are then crated for another 3 hours. If they're still there around 5:00 p.m., they're taken outside for a potty break before pickup. For me, that was shocking. I completely understand that dogs need rest periods, but I wasn't expecting that the majority of a full daycare day would be spent in a crate. My dogs are rarely crated at home, so this wasn't the right environment for them, especially considering the cost. I'm sharing this because I think it's an important question that many people may not think to ask. Before enrolling your dog, ask exactly what a full daycare day consists of and how much time your dog will actually be playing versus being crated. That information made my decision immediately, and I chose not to leave my dogs there.

I wish I could put into words how incredible ADG is, but no words could ever truly do it justice…read more My dog, Winnie, is a pretty needy pup. As a rescue who needed a full hip replacement and has a history of neglect, she has higher needs than the average dog. She's cautious about everything, but once she trusts you, she loves wholeheartedly. However, after Winnie's previous boarding and training experience resulted in neglect, I was incredibly hesitant and anxious about trusting anyone new with her. We were so fortunate that Angell MSPCA recommended ADG to us. Winnie is such a special dog, and as her mom, I want to give her the very best. From day one, ADG has gone above and beyond to earn not only Winnie's trust but mine as well. Even after spending so much time with them, they continue to show the same level of care, compassion, and professionalism every single day. One of the things that sets ADG apart is how attentive they are to every dog's individual needs. They don't take a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether it's training, daycare, or day school, they use current, science-based methods and tailor their care to help every dog succeed. It's clear that they truly understand canine behavior and are committed to setting dogs up for long-term success rather than simply managing them. They have always been incredibly accommodating and are willing to step in and help at a moment's notice. Every single staff member has been extraordinary. Knowing Winnie is loved, understood, and cared for as if she were their own gives me a level of peace I never thought I'd have after what we've been through. I truly cannot thank the entire ADG team enough. They have made such a positive difference in both Winnie's life and mine, and I will forever be grateful.

When we adopted Winnie a few weeks prior, she was very anxious and unsure of basically everything. We chose Hollywood Hounds because we had read that they were well versed with anxious pups. Since Winnie has started going to daycare, she has become increasingly more confident around new people, new places, and overall has been a happier dog. Winnie loves the staff at Hollywood Hounds, and she greets them with kisses, tail wags, and wiggles every time she walks through the door. We always hear the staff excitedly greeting her as she walks into the back, and hear everyone telling her goodbye as she leaves. We check their Facebook page frequently to see photos of Winnies day. In every photo she is having an absolute blast playing with her friends, getting love from the staff, and relaxing in the shade. They have always been more than happy to be attentive to Winnie as well. Winnie has had some minor health issues since we brought her home, and we have always been able to trust Hollywood Hounds to let us know if she had any issues during the day or if they noticed anything abnormal. They have given great recommendations for trainers, vets and ways to help her settle in at home. They also have always been happy to squeeze her in for a quick nail trim or rinse off in the bath after a day of rolling in the mud. We have recommended Hollywood Hounds to anyone who is in the area, and will continue to do so, as we have had many wonderful experiences with their business. Winnie is always so excited to go to daycare, and has started to learn when she goes and now anxiously waits by the door so we don't forget to bring her to her favorite place.

Kassia is located in Bedford, NH and cared for our guinea piggies for three nights this past weekend and it gave us peace of mind they were well taken cared of. Kassia has a very informative website and provides pretty much everything you need for boarding so you don't have to (cage, hideouts, etc. you just bring the food and medications if any) . Her rates are also fantastic! She has a separate room for boarders and everything is kept very clean throughout the stay. I also appreciated the updates/photos of our piggies. Small animal boarding is so hard to find around MA and the NH area so we are very grateful to have found Pup 'N Pals for all our future boarding.

Jack, the owner, spent about 20 minutes explaining the benefits of better dog foods, things that I would read about five years later in places like the Wall Street Journal. Things like carbohydrates, fiber and quality protein were the topics. The same things that humans consider important when making dietary decisions. My 12 year old and my 9 year old did two three mile walks last week. My vet said about my 9 year old: "that's the most muscular pug I've even seen". Now, she'd say it is due to her workouts, but the food has made a very big difference in having two healthy dogs. My dogs LOVE this place (unless they get their nails cut...but they forgive pretty quickly) and they settle right in like they are family. There is a huge variety of food, treats and accessories. They support local businesses and pet causes, and will merchandise new things. In some cases I've needed help carrying things to my car, and Jack is happy to help. Food for Pets has rewards programs. I do wish, however, that the owners would finally invest in some kind of point of service shopping software and inventory system. Hello, this is 2011 (almost 2012) and your employees have to read through an old torn price list and it seems they try to work off of memory to see what they have in stock and when it will be re-ordered. This is so inefficient and such a huge time-waster for the employees and the customer. They also have one phone line, so if one of the employees is on the phone, you have to wait until they are off so the cashier can run your credit card. Flinstones much???? I would think that with the amount of money that is charged for the food and pet toys, they could afford these basic tools to run a successful business. Lastly, please ditch those paper money coupons and use a rewards system like PetSmart, PetCo and WoofMeow that can be kept on a keychain. I have those damn paper money coupons all over my car and my kitchen drawer, I just never remember to gather them all together to bring to the store with me. Time to step it up!
