We told everyone we knew after that first session that we would have paid the full fee if that first session was the only session. Our golden retriever, Huck, was quickly renamed by our friends and family as "good boy Huck" for his rapid transformation. We can now take him into just about any situation with a relaxed mindset and confidence that we have control over him on, or off the leash. Rob's no-nonsense approach put us at ease and simply worked. Our private lessons took place at our house, a couple of other locations "in the world" and ended with dog introductions at his house with some of the board and train dogs. I have been with Dr.s Bob Alyssa and staff since they opened the doors. It's been many years. As a breeder of Dobermans then Miniature Schnauzers we have indeed run the gambit. Both my animals and myself have been treated with kindness dignity and respect from birth to death and all that goes in between. The facility is immaculate at all times. Many years ago it was remodeled. It's bright light open and airy. As clean now as when the renovations were completed. When you use this facility the more time passes by the more you will note that the staff remains consistent. Many of them have been there as long as I have and I consider myself a charter member. As the years have gone by and the clinic expanded new vets have been brought in house. When you call for an appointment you will be asked if you have a preference for which vet you'd like. My response has always been if the good Dr.s trust enough to hire I certainly trust enough to use their services. I feel strongly about this. And trust I do. Implicitly. Another asset to using this clinic is there is someone available 24/7 365. I can't tell you of what value this is to me. No running off to strangers and the unknown. Another critical asset in my view is this is a hospital NOT a boarding kennel. There is a time and place for all things. I will concede that the clinic may be a tad pricier than recovery but the outstanding impeccable in all arenas one could hope for in an animal hospital far outweigh the slight difference. This has been a long review but I wanted to illustrate my thoughts in full that I might assist others that take the research seeking and time to provide for the care of their animals large and small seriously a solid defined venue to accomplish just that. Been taken over by one of those big conglomerate that buys up veterinarians…read more I am convinced beyond a reasonable doubt that their lack of hygiene caused my cats to contract feline herpes. They said it wasn't possible, but they never sneezed or had any runny eyes before the visit to them. Four days after I took my male cat he had a terrible attack of this feline herpes which he never had in his 2 1/2 years of life. Four days after that my female started having the same symptoms, and she had not gone on that visit to the vet - must've contracted it from the male. They tried to tell me they always had had it. I disagreed. And then they lied on the records, so when I went to a new vet with their records, I found they had missreported a vital fact. They said that I told them early on that they had feline herpes which I absolutely did not do! I was shocked by that. Well of course I can't prove it, but all the evidence added up to the fact that they contracted it at the vet. That was bad enough, but then changing the records to say that I had told them about it was beyond unforgivable and we took our all our animals away from their practice.

In January, I boarded my pitbull Zeus who is 5 years at Echo Lane. I've wanted to work with them for a little while now. Anytime I've previously tried working with them they I would leave multiple voicemails and call attempts to reach someone. They are not even a mile away from me and was the only place I knew of instead having to go to Manchester to board my pit. Eventually after multiple call attempts; I finally got a return call and scheduled my dog to be boarded there. He was super excited and I felt they were quick and easy to work with when boarding him; so I thought. When it came time to pick him up; Zeus was excited to see me and they gave me the lease and off they thought I went. Upon getting Zeus in my car I noticed his nose was bloodied up so I went back inside kindly asking for an explanation and a call from a manager. A day when by and no call; so I reached out myself and no call back. I ended up having to physically go back there in which their explanation was he tried to get out of kennel and broke the fence. I was not disturbed that we were going to let me take my dog home without telling me any issues; but that I had no even received a call from them when any of this took place. They offered to get oinment for him and meet me somewhere so I can pick it up. They did do that; there was no follow up call on how he was. After telling some of my friends this and showing them a picture of the alleged incident I was informed that the way the fence was pushed out there is no way Zeus would have done that and that it looked like a very old fence. Time passed by; and I needed to board my dog again and I called them and left multiple voicemails again. At this point; I wanted to forget and forgive, whatever happened I understand dogs will be dogs and surely since they have a kennel they would be trained for any kind of situation for a dog and that maybe they would make sure to not let history repeat itself. In a way they kinda did! After multiple calls and voicemails to give them a second chance at my business; I ended up texting one of the owners and eventually they told me without explanation they would not allow Zeus back at the Kennel. Not only did I feel they were extremely unprofessional; but I do feel they are not trained nor qualifed to watch dogs. If my dog truly bit his way out of the kennel as they claim it makes me believe they leave other dogs in there for an extended period of time and that this isn't their first rodeo of having an issue with a dog. If there was an actual issue with Zeus and that there's more to the story; they failed in being upfront and honest with me. If that's the case; they lack true customer service and lack any honest business morals. I wish Google reviews would allow me to post the pictures, but they don't provide a link. I did find a couple other local kennels that have been more than accommodating towards me and if they can't board him because of space they refer someone who will as well. If you're looking to board your dog check out peace and paws or paws on pine. Beware of this place; also keep in mind for dog owners who feed their dogs organic dog food or raw dog food. Echo lane kennel does not offer that kind of food and therefore you will need to bring your dogs food. They offer kibbles and bits and Purina which have been proven to be very bad for dogs.

While intimidating at 120 lbs when full grown, he captured the hearts of everyone who came to know him. My favorite story is when we were taking a walk in Washington DC along the Mall, when a little girl walked up behind him, and her mother asked if it was okay if she pet him. We had no hesitation about allowing it, as he was so gentle and had been raised in a household with my 4 kids. She pulled a tuft of shedding hair from his backside, looked at it in surprise, and then tried to put it back on him. He was healthy most of his life, with no real problems. But he had to be put down in 2019 due to cancer. I'm going back to this business now for my second shepherd, even though I now live multiple hundreds of miles away. That is how much I trust these people and their animals.

I also have an 80lb GSD who goes in, on occasion, for a good bath and nails. She doesn't mind going either. I've always found Shannon to be very kind and professional. Her prices are reasonable. She cares! I would highly recommend her services and I will continue to bring my dogs to her even though I'm moving about an hour and a half away!
