But, these doctors aren't happy with just giving you an adjustment and sending you on your way... this is the first chiropractic office I've visited where I've been given homework! The assistant showed me some exercises that will help strengthen my muscles, and prevent a recurrence of my neck problem. How's that for getting at the crux of the issue?! My experience with chiropractors in the past is that they want you to keep coming in several times a week, then weekly, then monthly, to just keep doing the same treatment over and over again. I was happy to finally find a place where the doctors seem to truly care about figuring out what is causing the problem and then helping you fix it. Highly recommend!

Updating my review!…read more June 2018. I've been seeing Dr. Eyles for adjustments and nutrition since October '17, and Pat for massages nearly weekly. Dr. Eyles suggested a program for weight loss a few months ago, and I've since dropped close to 30 lbs. All of the staff that I've interacted with have been positively fantastic, and they always work with me for whatever I need. They've been really understanding when it comes to my bizarro sleep schedule, and I always feel fantastic when I have an adjustment. I've also had some acupuncture done, after a death of a friend, for some overwhelming sadness, and that really helped. Not saying it's a cure all for grief, but it made it far more manageable. I really appreciate Deerfield Family Chiropractic!! (Previously in the review:) I've started care with Dr. Eyles as of a few weeks ago. (Beginning of October 2017.) I've been consistently pleased with the care and attention to my health. I've struggled with issues stemming from all manners of things, including herniated disks and tight IT band. Lower back is a flaming hot mess. Prior to seeing Dr. Eyles, and working with Pat my first few massages, I struggled to walk very far. I'm not running marathons, but, I can walk through the mall at present without a cane. I've had nutrition issues and deficiencies that primary care doctors would not address, but Dr. Eyles is proving to be very supportive in helping me get this under control. My insurance doesn't cover visits, but Lapp Chiropractic has been great in helping with finance plans, and options. Multiple MRIs and x-rays weren't recommended, she knew what was going on by doing some range of motion tests and watching my stride, and touching a few spots. Since I've previously had not only chiropractic care on the other side of the country, as well as MRIs and x-rays, I knew that she diagnosed what was going on very well. These have been on going issues but I'm actually very hopeful that I'll be able to maintain a good level of health and spine health with visits. There are many people who dismiss the advantages and benefits of chiropractic care. These people clearly have not seen a -good-, nay, excellent, chiropractor. Also they may be cranky because they need to be adjusted, or possibly better gut flora. I digress. If you are in need of an excellent chiropractor, I can only recommend that you look no further than Lapp Chiropractic with Elizabeth Elyes.

It's the people. They're a very professional, savvy, and compassionate, bunch. I've worked primarily with two therapists, Daniel and Cyp, Daniel primarily. Daniel is perhaps the best physical therapist I've ever have a pleasure of working with. (This includes IBJI PT after rotator cuff surgery.) He's very smart, a great listener, extremely empathic and applied what he learns to routines he designs for home use. You'll have a great experience with this terrific organization, see if you can score Daniel to work with you, you'll absolutely be pleased. Caroline and husband John run the place and Caroline spent time with me designing a schedule that meets Aetna's requirements and provides me with the best PT with Daniel. I highly recommend North shore, conveniently located on 1st Street with street parking and directly across from City parking. 4/22/2020 The Joint has been very helpful in relieving my back problems. The wellness plan they…read moreoffer includes four visits every month which is cheaper than paying out of pocket. It seems a lot of my back problems are work related with no end in sight except for when I get adjusted. This location is fairly convenient for me being 14 miles and 30 minutes from work I can usually just make it before they close. I have been coming to the Joint for years. Between my wellness plans and additional visits I'm dropping over $900 a year in treatment. That is ALOT cheaper than their closest competitor Chiro One who wanted to charge me $3,000 for just 50 visits. I recommend the Joint and will update this review with time. Right now with the COVID-19 situation you need to be sure to wear a face mask into the location due to an ordinance from the city of Northbrook or you won't get service. COVID-19 is changing the day to day for all of us. Overall service from the Joint has been excellent. However they need to get an email system set up from the corporate office so that the varying franchise locations have a platform for updates like office closed or face mask required for service. Today was the first time I went in and won't gain 45 minutes of my life back because an email system like I described seems lacking. I have a ton of masks and would have brought one during today's visit had I received an email notification. I left annoyed. The location still gets 5 starts in my eyes but the email application needs to be developed as a courtesy to patients. Update4/23/2020: After checking the city website the ordinance requiring face masks went into effect Monday April, 20. My wasted trip occurred April 22 around 6:40 PM. I'll update this review again if they add a notification system that lets patients know of changes to the clinic. Other business including my dentist and doctors office have text and email systems in place. Hopefully the corporate office does something for the many franchise locations soon especially given that city ordinances may be added and changed at any time. This isn't just a COVID-19 situation. This is an everyday useful service that should be in place. Additional Update:The Facebook page for the location was updated today 4/23/2020 to show the new ordinance.
