The front desk staff kindly informed me I could still proceed with the consultation, but I would be charged for the full hour. I completely understood and accepted this, as the error was on my part. However, when Molly entered the room, her demeanor immediately felt cold and dismissive. It was clear to me that my tardiness had set a negative tone. I began to explain my situation--being a wife and mother of 17 years who was now seeking a divorce, along with child support and alimony. To my surprise, her response was not only discouraging, but also dismissive of the considerable evidence I had gathered. She strongly advised me to "try to work out a fair amount " with my husband, citing the fact that his income "couldn't be proven," despite the documentation I had prepared.
